  1. That's considered by some to still be a spoiler.
  2. Overthinking keeps your brain fresh! It's a learning exercise. Analyzing the plot and game are helping me to better understand plot and game structure in general. Even if it is just potshots against a non-moving target. For instance, I now hold new and detailed opinions on tutorial design. I hope it'll enable me to provide better feedback on games. And better appreciation for games that do it well.
  3. Baldur's Gate 2 is showing up on Steam's registry. It's been there for a month, so don't get too excited thinking it'll be available today. But something's up in general.
  4. Gibbed's Save Game Editor. Doesn't have any plot flags from ME2. Looks like he quit pretty early. I can't find anything to say if the save did a romance or what happened to Collector Base.
  5. It was, to put it in words I hope to never use again, a "revolution." The first major step into being a deeper art form. Or so they say.
  6. Is there any way to see what choices are in your ME2 save? I guess I can look for a save editor.
  7. Trying to fight the urge to replay Mass Effect 2. I'm tempted to do it just for perspective. Been spending too much time focusing on what I don't like. When I really enjoyed the game.
  8. Heavy Melee is pretty incredible as an Infiltrator. On a decent difficulty, enemies will shoot at you if you try it as any other class. And when you get shot you slow down. So they can shoot you more. Still, it's kind of disappointing. I was hoping it was an actual melee system since every class has a unique melee. Sentinel has two blades, for instance. But it's just a graphical difference. I had vague fantasies about charging at the bad guys just going to town. Not charging at a guy, holding the button, and waiting for the animation to end.
  9. It's not that holstering anim would take more. It's that the holstered and weapon ready animation sets are so wildly different. It changes the walk/run/stand/idle animations.
  10. Call animal control, if you have such a service available. We had a couple in my old neighborhood. You shouldn't risk dealing with it yourself.
  11. Tried the Binary Domain demo. Those... bleepity bleeps of bleeps! They have a system for dialogue where you hold R2 to get access to up to 4 face button commands or responses. This allows you to engage in a conversation without losing control and going into cutscenes. I was going to build a prototype of that.
  12. The demo only has two choices period. And several of them are the same line regardless of what you pick. There may be more options, including exposition dump options, in the full game.
  13. *puts hand on Virumor's shoulder*I have bad news for you.
  14. I'd be surprised if IMDB knew any more than we do. They probably just copied the list from the last two games.
  15. So Xen is in it as a romance option. Score.
  16. 5000 executions in 2009? WTF, china. I thought they were part of the civilized world now.
  17. They do, however, provide a convenient funnel for money from public to private sector.
  18. Oh, I see. So being a "crazy AI" would be totally logical for AI. How organocentric of you.
  19. Actually the Collector general was a red herring. Harbinger was a Reaper. He possessed the general from time to time. Just like Sovereign did with Saren in the final battle. It was an awkward red herring. Because there are dialogues in the game where Shepard clearly knows what Harbinger is. They're missable. His assumption makes sense. The only reason we think it's the general is because of cutscenes the character can't see. Which means the player is being artificially deceived in a way the character is not. Hence awkward. And yes, the Reapers are a race of ships.
