Problem with JO and JA: more running and empty swings than real fighting.
Problem with KotOR: combatants stay on one place the whole time; not many moves; not much choices from the player.
They said, that the battles will be more like dance, than like real battles. We've seen real battle in the old trilogy, especialy Episode VI. I don't say the new aren't good, they're fantastic, but look too god to be real.
Temple of Elemental Evil, Fallout, Arcanum. The ultimate BEST turn-based RPG'S. Absolute must for every roler.
ToEE - godly combat
Fallout - freedom
Arcanum - largest game world, endless possibilities
Well, maybe it will kill the cinematic effect. I just speak about the possibilities, tactical options and group fighting a turn-based game could offer. I dont want it exactly for KOTOR. Maybe a new SW rpg?
What do you think about turn-based KotOR, using isometric perspective, larger pary and far more combat options, like in Fallout and especialy Temple of Elemental Evil?
Ive never played that but I say, if it aint broke dont fix it.
Play Planescape and see. Just overthrow the bad graphic. We're talking about ALMOTS linear gameplay but THE BEST STORY AND THE BEST CHARACTERS EVER.
I cant give my vote right now, because i dont have enoug information. However, i think the more interessting combination will be "force user" with "combat jedi". But i think i'll start with Sentinel i advance in Jedi Master or Watchman.
Who did you use to escape the Leviathan prisons? I find Jolee prety usefull. Juhani can come handy. The small droid can get you in trouble, though... Who was the most interessting in this situation?
