  1. Thrawn is more like Alexander. Thrawn shares Alexandars vision in battle. Alexander could figure out an enemies plan just by looking at their formations. Thrawn would figure out an enemies plan in the same way, though he also could figure out a species just by their art.
  2. It's in Tales 23, and tells the story of the 3 Jedi who died during the great hunt. I must say that if your a true KOTOR fan it's an AWESOME read doing a great job of combining the games style with the comics. The comics themselves staying true to the game, save for fixing the locations the game screwed up in continuity, like the VOTDL. The story is spot on to the games telling of the story, and is set three years after the Exar Kun war. and just for my personaly pleasure of being the continuity nerd, let me go into the Valley of the Dark Lords. Like I always said the comics will always one up the games in the continuity world, and the true Valley is included in the comic, in a canyon, with tombs embedded in the walls like in the TOTJ comics. However the KOTOR valley is paid it's due. The artist took the entire Valley from the game and moved it to the canyon, so know it's on the canyon floor with the TOTJ valley. The two big bombs themselves are minus Naga Sadows and Marka Ragnos tomb, and are no longer round but more squard because now there are only two tombs. So offically only Ajunta Pual and Tulak hord tombs are facing each other on the valley floor. As for Naga Sadows tomb/memorial, he has his own tomb in his own image just like Marka Ragnos. Dreshdae is more laid out like a settlement in the comic, and Kashyyk has a more continuity version of how a more logical/Star wars version of the games Kashyyk would have been. Other than that, Dantooine and it's academy are completely taken from the game version. Though their is another council chamber room. Other nice things are a younger Vrook, a Selkath council member, and two forshadowing panels of KOTOR scenes(Bastila's torture, Malak, Rakata). Oh and continuity has it that Revan(who is wearing his mask in the comic so not to affend anyone of how he/she looks and such) wore Duron Quel Droma' robe during the battle against Malak. Very good comic, even if your hate comics or the EU.
  3. Another thread Meaning I have to write my ideas down again, jeez Planets: Coruscant: Capital of Republic Mandalore: Home of Mandalorians Alderaan: 3 unknown region worlds: 1 Sith, 2 new Hapes: A society ruled by women, how can you know have it? New Planet: Party Members: Bastila Jolee Bothan Senator Dustil Onasi A Falleen HK-47(with remote) T3-M4 Returning Character/ New personalities/ returning TOTJ characters: Non playable Mandalore Carth Admiral Dodonna Force Ghost Kreia(sith ghost maybe) Cassus Fett Yuthura A General based off George S. Patton for the Republic. The Supreme Chancellor Master Vima(leland Chee's way of dealing with the Sunrider issue, just leave it out, and call her Master Vima) Admiral Vanicus( old as hell, but 100 is the new 80's in star wars) New Species: Mandallian(Mandalorian), Togorian(Mandalorian), Bothan, Falleen, Camassi, Feeorin, Other stuff: A resolution to the Czerka, Genoharden, and Exchange. With maybe one or two being completely destroyed by games end. Influence system that allows for influence regardless of alignment Better Cotinuity More Star Wars(williams) music in the game. Well developed new enemy And a good ending
  4. alot of this stuff contradicts itself, for instance,Cassus Fett was long dead by KOTOR 1,and Calo Nord was made dead in KOTOR 1,and these are just a few things of a growing list. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually Cassus Fett is only BELIEVED to be dead. Which Star Wars means, "Just waiting to be brought back." Never believed the world believed in Star Wars. Calo Nord might be dead, then again. So was Boba Fett. We don't know how things turned out in KOTOR offically(other than lightside ending). Calo might still be alive, and I only make reference to him becuase I think it would be quite funny to have him back. That character who just won't die. Please continuie with the list so that I might strike all down.
  5. I'm talking about supieroity over converted races that weren't of the Mandalorian race.
  6. I must add that if the Mandalore, HK couldn't kill was a member of the Mandalorian race, by default he would over power Canderous as leader of the Mandalorians. With or without the Mask. The Mandalorian race is the superior race. The humans,Togorians,Mandallians, and other races are just converts. Canderous was the first HUMAN Mandalore, but if he wants full power he's going to have to fight another Mandalore for it.
  7. HK-47: I had completed an assassination in Mandalorian space
  8. "The Sith had gone - retreated into their empire. They sealed themselves off from the rest of the galaxy. We thought it would be centuries before they'd come back. It's amazing that they could rebuild their fleet so fast. But at the time it looked like the galaxy was in our grasp! I still remember that final battle in the skies above Malachor V. The two fleets filling the space around it, outshining the stars
  9. Seeing as everything that's transpired in KOTOR 1 and 2 is of there design I'd say, regardless if you like it or not, we'll be seeing them. They are ready for War, and the Republic might as well just hang welcome sign.
  10. By friend, are you on a new form of crack? Malachor was indeed created in KOTOR, and mentioned by Canderous in his war stories. And mentioned as the last battle of the war to note. and according to KOTOR, Revan was at Malachor. Canderous says that Revans and Mandalores fleet clashed there, and the Revan faught them to a stand still, and pushed them back. I just played KOTOR recently and I always listen to Canderous stories very carefully.
  11. The Mandalorians didn't have numbers over the Republic, in KOTOR Canderous says that the Mandalorians were outnumbered 5 to 1 in the Mandalorian Wars. So the Mandalorians never had an advantage over the Republic by numbers, just Skill. Also I believe Canderous says that Malachor V was the last battle of the War.
  12. Implied where? I don't see any such implication. In fact, my impression of Malachor V is that Revan wasn't present at all; wouldn't he have been giving orders rather than the Exile? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> According to Canderous in KOTOR, Revan faught the Mandalorians to a stand still a Malachor, then proceded to push them back. Of course this was before the time of the Mass Shadow bomb was created so, it's a conclusion that Revan arrived late for the battle, perhaps after the bomb went off.
  13. @Drakron: I don't think HK-47 was sent to kill Mandalore the Ultimate (hate the nomenclature, but we have to keep them distinct). He was sent after a pretender. We know that there were several, though nobody had the helmet until Canderous. HK-47 declares in KotOR:"You created me shortly after you and your apprentice began your war to conquer the galaxy;" it's also clear that Malak was already DS when HK-47 met him for the first time. My interpretation of this at the time was that HK-47 was built after the Mandalorians were defeated. This is consistent with KotOR 2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HK-47 was sent to kill Mandalore in Mandalorian space, by another Mandalorian. There were no pretenders, and there were not several of them. This Mandalorian wouldn't have sent HK after Mandalore, if he wasn't really a Mandalore. Hk even comfirms that it's a Mandalore,"It was most embarrassing, but he was MANDALORE afterall." Clearly this other Mandalore felt he didn't need the helmet to rule. So there are two Mandalore's, one in Mandalorian Space and Canderous(which Canderous hasn't even been to in 10 years), perhaps both will battle it out in KOTOR 3 for the throne.
  14. Revan didn't kill Mandalore the Ultimate at Mandalore, it doesn't say where he killed him. Though it's implied through both games that it was at Malachor.
  15. I think it was said that Revan had ordered the fleet(implication of entire fleet here) to Malachor to draw the Mandalorians. Of course there is no contradiction regardless. Remember what Canderous said in KOTOR 1,"It was not the Republic that beat the Mandalorians, it was the Jedi Revan." According to the game, Revan was late for the battle. In KOTOR 1 I believe it's said that he makes it, because Mandalore the Ultimate died at Malachor, and Revan killed him. We must also remember that Revan was falling to the Dark Side because of the Dark power of Malachor, it was even his intention to use this power against the Mandalorians. Maybe Exile acted to quickly, maybe Revan arrived after the bomb went off. Sources have said that not as many Mandalorians died at Malachor as the game says. So Revan arrives after the bomb, a majority of the Mandalorian fleet destroyed with it, and Revan fights and pushes back the rest. Until he kills Mandalore and the Mandalorians surrender.
  16. Yes, but KotOR3 won't be a game about the Mandalorians struggle to prepare for the coming war - it will be a game about the struggles of the remaining jedi to find Revan, confront the true Sith, and save the Republic. All of the preparations of Mandalore/Canderous can be easily established in a few conversations and cutscenes. There just doesn't seem to be any need to have jedi go to the Mandalorian homeworld to help with this. Besides, you said yourself that Mandalore shouldn't be a group member this time around, because he would be too busy preparing his people for war to hang around the Ebon Hawk. How does that add up? It would be far more impressive to me to have the protagonists of the new game finallly find Revan and bring him/her back to a Republic driven to to the brink of disaster and then have Mandalore casually turn up and say, "Good to see you again, Revan. The Mandalorians are ready to follow your commands!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> and the Mandalorians are apart of that struggle. It adds ups just the same as it would for any NPC. Actually from what I read of writers, they tend to stay away from the,"Just pop up," notion these days, and would rather develope the characters more, and then put them into the action. Mandalore actually has a point to the Sith War, and a great story can come from it. Far better than your Nar Shadda, which has nothing to do with the Sith War, nor should. At least Mandalore has the characteristic actually having a point in the Sith War. Being the home of the Mandalorians and all. There are many reasons, and story's that can come from the planet. Canderous and his Mandalorians should be well developed, not just in mere cut scenes, but by actually spending time with them and their society. I'm sure KOTOR 3 won't take place more than a year after KOTOR 2, unless Sith are really stupid to give Republic that much time to prepare. The Mandalorians must prepare quick. Not to Mention that Mandalore is a perfect way to see how the Power of Mandalore really works.
  17. My only trouble is that trying to recruit the Mandalorians to join the war against the Sith is a bit like preaching to the choir - Revan already won Canderous over and made him his loyal follower in the first game. If Revan say "come", then Mandalore and his armies will follow, even over a cliff, so there doesn't seem to be much need to deal with the Mandalorians in KotOR3, because once the war begins, we know they stand with Revan no matter what - it has already been firmly established. Yes, the Mandalorians will undoubtedly be heavily involved in the final confrontations, but there is little reason to see them until them, and I doubt KotOR3 will just be one long battlescene. The KotOR games have been strongly driven by plot and character depth, so the third game is almost certainly going to be so as well. I don't see the actual war with the true Sith beginning until the final act of the game (equal to finding the Star Forge system in the first game or returning to Dantooine to meet the council in the second), though I do expect that final act to be longer this time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What's your point? Just because the Mandalorians will follow Revan means nothing. Their hasn't been a Mandalore on Mandalore is some 50 years. Canderous got what he could out of known space, now he must return to Mandalore and get what he can from their. Who knows how many escaped to home. Canderous also can call for more beings from around him SECTOR to wear the armor of Mandalore for the coming war. He needs to get a few ships ,and some War Droids. And like I said there's also the big unfinished plot point of there being TWO Mandalore's. HK-47 faught a Mandalore in known space, and was defeated by him. Mandalore the Ultimate died at Malachor as such, HK-47 did not fight him. Not to mention that KOTOR 2 has him built after the Malachor 5 battle. So he faught another. So right there is a big plot point for the Mandalorian story. Perhaps the Sith find Mandalore, and attack and you the PC will have to help the Mandalorians defend. Perhaps you have battle with one of the last mythosaur beast, thought dead thousands of years before. If you know as much about the Mandalorians as I do, you'd know that Mandalore has plenty to offer. From planet Mandalore, Canderous can gather, build, and train without having to worry about the Republic or Sith(as of right now). On DXUN, he had to keep quiet, but he doesn't have to do that anymore. It's time for Mandalore to return home, and gather an army. What conflicts he runs into while doing it, is the great thing about it all.
  18. and rightfully so. What KOTOR 2 needs now is Leland Chee continuity hands, or someboby like Abel Pena(who is really good at fixing stuff), and to take the cut stuff and make it continuity. KOTOR 2 needs adaptation, and to be finished by other means.
  19. You sure about that? I'm not contesting it, since I don't have factual proof either, but perhaps Lucasarts "allowed" Bioware more time because they realized Bioware had to create an entire engine from scratch, whereas that part was already done for Obsidian and thus no reason to have a long development cycle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bioware seem quite firm on their boards, saying that it will be done when it's done. Clearly LFL wasn't going to push them around. Obsidian might have had the engine, but they clearly didn't have time to finish it. Bioware finished it, and has multiple push backs. Even KOTOR was supposed to come out Christmas 2002, but was pushed back 5 or 6 times until July 17 2003. Finished when it's finished.
  20. Mandalore's use other planets to hang their helmet, but Mandalore is the actual home planet. Dxun was just a Base, Mandalore is HOME. When Mandalore's begin crusades they use other planets for bases, most likely to keep their home hidden so the Republic or Sith won't find it. Plus they might want to start their wars closer to known space. There is only one Mandalore, conquered by Mandalore the first, and is still the home of the Mandalorians. Boba Fett now rules it.
  21. Please, Mandalore the home planet of the Mandalorians. From there he has the ability to make every Man or Child to fight for him. Mandalore is the center of the Mandalore sector, the capital from there Mandalore rules all. They are conqueres, yes, but they are also rulers. Mandalore has a perfect plot for the next game in order to finish of the Mandalorian story is a great way. To say that Mandalore is a inperfect world for the next game, is in the same boat as Onderon was or Manaan in their games. There ain't no problem is writing a good story on Mandalore. Especially sence it's the Mandalorian home world, a thousand thing can happen there. Mandalore and his Canon of Honor Mandalorian will start their last Crusade against the Sith from that world. DXUN, was just a base Planet Mandalore the Ultimate used. That was it's entire purpose. You don't think the Mandalorians are dumb enough to have their main base on MANDALORE do you? It's better to keep the home secret, so that the Republic or Sith will never find it. And please don't even start with me on plot, seeing as how your planets aren't worth the time they are given. Like Nar Shadda, which has nothing to do with the Sith. No sith artifact is on Nar Shadda, and if one was it's the stupidest thing I've heard so far. Yavin 4 has the Exar Kun/Sadow temples, the Ancient Jedi city, possible Massasi tribes, and perhaps a hidden Jedi Master. More to offer then ten times of a planet we've already seen. It won't mess with Continuity either, not unless the writers descide to mess wiht continuity. Coruscant will be enough for a city world, serving the same purpose as Nar Shadda and Taris, only on a bigger scale. All your sith planets are ten minute worlds with hardly anything to even do. New Sith worlds this time around are much better suited, because New Sith worlds will be in the Outer Rim. We don't need to go to Sith planets we already know, perhaps one of them, but not all 3. And how in the blue hell can you tell me about Planets not being chosen about plot, but for just liking them when you pick ****ing Vjun. I've noticed a lot lately that fans love to popluate planets that don't need to be populated. One fan had Dagobah having great cities once, and not Vjun. Not only that, but the only reason it's even there is to know that it was sucked dry by the force. Firstly that was a plot point for KOTOR 2, and the guy who sucked planets is now dead. Unless you want another guy who can suck planets.
  22. Only if they learn to say, "**** YOU LFL, we'll be done with it when we're done." Bioware seemed to be able to do it, and very good game of the year came out of it.
  23. It's sad that no real content patch will ever come. The game so unfinished, that the light from the Star unfinished would take 50 bajillion years to reach the Earth. Definitly want another company to do KOTOR 3, who has the same Bioware,"It's going to be finished when it's finished," mentality, so that when I buy it I'll know I'm buying a complete game.
  24. "Bastila Mira HK-47 T3-M4 Atton Mandalore Visas Marr Handmaiden" Can't see Mandalore as a party member this time around. Far to important to be spending his time running around on the Hawk again. He must gather the Mandalorians for WAR
  25. The Mandalorians will indeed be essential IMHO. As I see it, they will form the core of the army Revan has planned to stand against the True Sith. But while I see them as important for that reason, I'm less certain that we actually need to see their homeworld for that. I mean, for us to see their homeworld, there would need to be some conflicts for such there for the player to solve, and I don't think Canderous/Mandalore will allow dissent in his home - the Mandalore keeps his people are far too disciplined for that. Not that it wouldn't have its charm to see their world, though... True, but I included Kashyyyk because I have this idea of Zaalbar and Hanharr having a fight for leadership of a tribe. We don't know which tribe Hanharr came from, but it could be cool if he was an outcast from Zaalbar's tribe, in which case there is an obvious light/dark choice for how it plays out. Yes, I know Mira mentions how he killed his entire tribe, but she also said it was just a rumor. I find it just as likely that he killed several wookies and was then banished the shadowlands. If Hanharr came from Zaalbar's tribe, I think it really has potential for both an evil and good ending. For example, if Hanharr kills Zaalbar's father, you can help him kill the dissenters among the wookies for the dark side choice, or you can bring back Zaalbar to confront him and take control of the tribe for the light side choice. But either way, you get to add wookies loyal to your cause, who can supplement the army defending the Republic against the Sith. We always hear about how tough the wookies are, so let's see finally see their fury in battle. The idea of watching angry wookies tearing Sith troopers apart really sounds appealing to me. Why not? I'm not suggesting that Nar Shaada is where the final confrontation takes place, after all. But it could be a good place to stage a few events and drop some clues for the overall plot. I also think it might be a good place to let Jolee lurk about if Revan is set to light side. He'd help the poor while remaining in the shadows out of attention, just as he did on Kashyyyk. Korriban is a known world, yes, but I think the others are generally unknown to the Republic. I know Empress Teta followed Naga Sadow back the Sith Empire in the comic books, but that doesn't mean they're all known. Given that Korriban and Malachor V are both described as being on the outskirts of the ancient Sith Empire by Kreia in KotOR2, it would seem that at least Ch'hodos, Khar Delba, and Ziost are still fairly unknown. I mean, Ziost is established as the central world of the Sith, where the dark lord rules, so it's scarcely just some forgettable planet in the Sith Empire. And Khar Shian, the moon of Khar Delba, was Naga Sadow's secret base, so it would also be fairly well hidden from Republic eyes. Hmm, that said, I'd also like to see Vjun seveal millennia before Vader builds his castle there. Not sure if that is anywhere close to the Sith Empire, though... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mandalore has enough to be enjoyed in the game. The Sith will probably like to know where it is, there's the possibility that another Mandalore is around(concidering that itself was a continuiyt mistake from KOTOR 2). I'm definitly not going back to Dxun, which had little to nothing to do, and Mandalore is far better to the story of the Mandalorians. You can learn more about their society, and there views. Help them prepare for war, and get things going. Nar Shadda has nothing to offer, why are you going to need to find clues of anything on Nar Shadda? It served it's purpose in KOTOR 2, and is finished. Jolee has more use on Yavin, seeing as there more purpose for that planet to the Sith War story, than Nar Shadda. And your Sith planets had a purpose, and new Sith Planets are needed. Vjun has nothing, and will having nothing for another 4000 years. It's a dead planet.
