Lum lum, STAR WARS ISN'T PRACTICAL. Mandalorian armor is developed to withstand heat in re-entry. The beast is the Basilisk War Droid. Like it or not.
-
What is this Virago compared to the Beast? Nothing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, duh! It's a convertable! :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it's a Basilisk War Droid, far better than that Virago star viper. Improved, lol, please the Beast would nuke that ****ing thing in seconds. Oh,and Mandalorian iron is the best in the galaxy, it doesn't melt. Tis why Mandalorians on top of their fearless droids can ride into the atmo with no problem.
-
MK2 It's a damn Mk10 compared to that Virago. The Beast has 10 times the power of that pissy Virago. All it can do is fire laser, the Beast and fire a shot from it's generating rods that can pierce Capital Ship armor. It has bombs that can flow space stations to hell. IT's even good on the ground. What is this Virago compared to the Beast? Nothing.
-
Yes but if you wanted to add a roof sides would be a requirement. Roofs dont just hang in midair. The need support from sides, or walls. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And the Basilisk War Droid doesn't have that.

In order to have a roof you have to have sides, or the roof just sort of falls on top of you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A Basilisk War Droid doesn't have sides. You ride it like you would a horse.
-
If the hanger doors opened and there was some sort of mutant mole lobster behind it I would have been. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would have had no reaction, because I know what a Basilisk War Droid is. It would have been common nature to see the beast than that DAMN weak Virago.
-
They stuck a roof on it. Problem solved. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL No problem solved. A basilisk is rode on not in.
-
Allow me not to care. It looks stupid thats all there is to it. A cross between a mole and lobster is an idiot design for a spacecraft. Kudos for Chris for ignoring it and going with something that made sense. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who gives a **** whether you care or not? and actually it doesn't make sense, because for it to make sense it would have to connect with Canderous discription and it doesn't. What makes sense to Star Wars, and what makes sense to 3 or 4 sources, is that the Basilisk War Droid is a beast. I'm sorry you don't like the way it looks, but I don't like the way some of the creatures in Star Wars look in KOTOR. Yet all thos creatures were in their continuity likeness. Bioware had a respect, Obsidian did not.
-
Yep, especially when it comes to **** like this.
-
"However in TSL you get that... THING... that looks like Prince Xizor's fighter, and you sit INSIDE it. I was a bit disappointed by the inconsistency. How would something like that slip through?" Because Christopher thought it looked stupid. It wasn't a mistake, CHRIS meant to do it like that.
-
Regardless it is a Basilisk War Droid. Not to stupid actually. A lack of respect for continuity is what that VIRAGO is. Basilisk War Droids are called WAR MOUNTs, that Viraga isn't a War Mount. Because you can mount it. You RIDE ON Basilisk, not in Basilisk. You ride in a car, not on a car. Canderous rode ON his basilisk, and entered the atmo with only his armor as protection. So clearly the very well researched writer of KOTOR, knew his ****, and implied the Beast as the Basilisk War Droid. Of course this all matters not. A basilisk is a war mount, beast. Continuity as deemed it so, not this ****ing Virago.

Ideas for kotor 3? returning people? planets?
Darth Nuke replied to Draken's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was talking about the Mandalorian Sector, as in Mandalorian Space. Dxun isn't near the Mandalorian Sector. I'm sure Dxun became Mandalorian space for it's time, as well as many other planets. However it's with good reason that Dxun was used as a base instead of Mandaore. I doubt the Mandalorians wanted any of their enemies to know where home was. -
Oh it was a pain in the ass, but I figured that the Non-EU and Uninformed EU-lovers would like to know more about the Mandalorians. I always hear people saying the Mandalorians died and what not, but that isn't true. They might get beat down, but they always get back up. The Article adds new things, and brings some old info to light, that could be used for KOTOR 3. Like Planet Mandalore and the Mandalorian Sector, and the different races that were coverted into the Mandalorian Tradition for the Mandalorian Wars. Hopefully whoever makes KOTOR 3 will use this info. I'm just glad that Abel(writer of the Article) was allowed to finally fix up the Mandalorian history. The Mandalorian went from the least developed to probably the most in the EU.

Not if Mandalore has moved back to Planet Mandalore. He was in the known Galaxy to regather those clans that were still roaming around. He got what he came for, not as the leader of the Mandalorians he needs to return home. Canderous isn't just Mandalore, leader of the Mandalorian army. He's Mandalore leader of the Mandalorians and Mandalore Sector. He has more power than most kings in the Galaxy. He will probably go back to Mandalorian Space and gather more forces, and build some ships before the GREAT WAR begins. -
Just set before. It just covers the story of Duron Qel-Droma and his two friends who went to hunt the Sith beast.
-
Darca Nyls isn't born for another 4000 years The KOTOR story is about the 3 Jedi who were killed on the their hunt for the Terentak beast

Has Dustil's HalluciTomb text been found?
Darth Nuke replied to nfactor's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Boy what a waste of character that would have been if added. <_< -
Dont forget, "Jedi vs Sith," the series about Darth Bane. Plus there's a KOTOR comic coming up in Tales 23.

Good for an action game, not an RPG. RPG don't have stories about events that have been chronicled. And the events of the Mandalorian Wars, Malachor, and Endar Spire are pretty much complete. No need to base a game about them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or maybe you can pick to be lightside??? But you would have to think of something really creative to tie in with kotor 1. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why would you do that. LS or DS, we know how it ends. Having a LS or DS game is meaningless in this situation, because officaly the ending has already been chronicled.

Of course it is. The story has a beginning, a middle, and it needs and ending. No use keeping it going when things will probably end up being repetitive. Like if their's a New PC. The True Sith have been the TRUE Enemy all along, and KOTOR/KOTOR 2 did a great job of cleaning the way for their attack. There is no one to stand in their way, save Revan, Exile, Bastila, Hopefully Jolee, the small REpublic Navy, and the Small Mandalorian Army. Not at all big on a galactic scale. So KOTOR 3 will definitly needs Coruscant. It's the only planet important enough to show the dire need, and importance of this coming war. The senators are probably one of the biggest plot points the game could have. Many are greedy, many are scared, many are hateful. They have just gotten over two wars, and a third is on the way. The Galaxy is in for a rougher time than usual, if I might say. This game has already started reminding me for of ROTK more that ROTJ. You have the Small Republic Navy who are all alone and controlled by the Republic(who doesn't know what to do), in that way they are like the Gondorians. Then you have the Mandalorians, the Rohirrim, who will rush into battle for one final glorious battle. -

Possibly the Greatest War of this time. It's no secret that the True Sith will attack. If they don't then this is one dumb trilogy in the end. -
What we REALLY need in KOTOR3
Darth Nuke replied to Matt7895's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not only that. It also means that from now on, no more Jedi wookies, EU or not. And of course no double-bladed lightsaber wielding slugs either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Since Lowbacca is returning for the upcoming post NJO series, I don't it means that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What it means is hes going to be killed. NJO Spoilers! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually your wrong. Lucas approved that Anakin couldn't be the hero, and didn't say anything about killing him off. That was a decision made by the Arthur. Lowbacca isn't going to be killed. Lucas doesn't really care what the EU does, and will have no reason to kill off a Wookie Jedi. What Lucas means is that no Wookie or Hutt will be a Jedi in the films. However the EU is another question entirely.
