  1. And little things like that make all the difference. Kudos to Obsidian for including them. Unless you picked Solas...
  2. So far, I have no complaints about the romances that couldn't be fixed with a few more conversations (and fixing all the bugs, of course). I wonder how hard it would be for modders to add in additional dialogues? Though they wouldn't be voiced, of course.
  3. Relationships only go to 2. My Vela was bugged, apparently - she showed up on the beach, then vanished for the rest of the game It seems she's supposed to be on your ship.
  4. I agree, the disposition wheels fill up way too fast, which is especially a problem when conversations may not have any of your preferred disposition options. My honest/shady stoic/passionate benevolent/cruel Watcher is very confused...
  5. Good point. I think I'll just start my own faction right over there. With tabletop gaming and pizza. Let the world burn.
  6. I kind of liked the Greek god-esque squabbling, but their utter uselessness was baffling. They apparently have enough power to pull moons down from the sky, but when Eothas threatens the world and their existence, they decide to just send a mortal to spy on him? That's it? I'm struggling to think of a way Eothas's plan could end well. Right now, only the Republics (and possibly the Dyrwood) have any kind of animancy research going on. If and when other nations hear about what happened in the Archipelago, are they going to A) believe it, B) overcome centuries of prejudice and support the practice of animancy, C) co-operate with the other nations trying to solve the problem? I have my doubts. Can the Republics solve this alone? How long do they have? Will the government make this a priority or get sidetracked by other, more immediate, more tangible issues? A related question is just how obvious the effects of destroying the Wheel will be. If they're not noticeable enough, they're going to get ignored by most of the world's population. If they're too noticeable (See: Hollowborn crisis), there's going to be wide-spread chaos. And, of course, back to the gods - are they going to do anything? Will they just make things worse (signs point to yes)?
  7. Yikes. Siding with the Rauataians is going to be tough. Sorry, Kana.
  8. You're not the only one confused. There's another thread on the ending a bit further down. It's all rather... vague.
  9. I'm with you there. So far, I've done the independent ending and VTC; the Vailian faction quests were great up until the last one, which requires you to kill a bunch of people (though the fight at the palace may be avoidable?). And they're slavers, which... ugh. I'll try Rauatai and the Huana next, but I'm worried they aren't going to be much better. At least the independent option is always available!
  10. I never saw her again after leaving Vilario's Rest. Couldn't find her anywhere on the ship. I have no idea what happened. Eder had a romance-related dialogue with Aloth, but that's the only one I've come across so far.
  11. I completely agree. Granted, it was something like 2am when I finished the game for the first time, but the more I thought about the ending, the less I understood it for all the reasons mentioned in this thread.
  12. When I used the command, Aloth's wheel didn't update to 2 right away - I had to keep playing the game for a while. If all else fails, there's now a mod on Nexus which you can use to change rep.
  13. I had Grandmaster Aloth in this particular game and I had to convince him to give up trying to reform the Leaden Key. The ending slide was exactly what I'd been hoping for since PoE1 and has (temporarily) restored my faith in humanity. Thanks, Obsidian On to Tekehu!
  14. Ha ha! Made different choices in Aloth's companion quest this time, and in the ending slides, he stuck around! O happy day!
  15. I'm surprised it wasn't the third thing out of his mouth, right after his name and "Am I not incredibly awesome?"
  16. Skill Player_[WatcherName] [skill] [value] AttributeScore Player_[WatcherName] [attributename] [value] Substitute Companion_[CompanionName](Clone) for a companion. Examples: Skill Player_Tarlonniel mechanics 25 AttributeScore Player_Tarlonniel might 25 Skill Companion_Aloth(Clone) mechanics 25 I still can't figure out what skill name to use for Sleight of Hand, though.
  17. I guess it depends on how you define "happily ever after." As Nebty said, I prefer to see my Watcher stick with their romantic partner. That's kind of the point of the whole relationship thing, in my book. I see some folks posting about alternate ending slides. If someone could dig out Aloth's and post the different outcomes, I'd sure appreciate it! And, after reading the rest of this thread, I may kick Eder out of my parties for good...
  18. It's great right up until the ending slide, at which point Aloth goes one way, the Watcher goes another, and it's not clear if they'll ever see each other again, which I found anticlimactic and disappointing. I wonder if the Tekehu romance ends the same way. Maybe I'll just skip it and watch him flirt outrageously with everyone else.
  19. It's a rather short, low key romance, but I think it fits him perfectly. The only thing I really didn't like was the ending.
  20. I couldn't quite get it to work properly. The format seems to be CompanionAddRelationship [Companion 1] [Companion 2] [positive/negative] [minor/average/major] [boolean value (1 or 2 or true or false)]. For instance, CompanionAddRelationship Player_Watcher Companion_Eder(Clone) positive major 1. But I couldn't figure out which order the companion names were supposed to be in, what the Boolean value meant, and no matter what I did, I couldn't get Aloth's relationship bar beyond halfway full. So...
  21. I just finished an Aloth romance run as a female Watcher, so that's definitely possible. I was a little confused - I couldn't get his relationship wheel past the halfway mark. I'm not sure if that was intended, or a bug, or what. And I'm wondering if there are other endings than the one I got. Further research is required. Tomorrow, after sleep.
  22. *poorly suppressed squealing* Unless he's male-only... hmmm... I don't think I'm going to be sleeping tonight. Back to the game!
  23. I don't mind if they aren't groundbreaking, but cringy, short and outta nowhere is not my cup of tea (sorry Hiravias). I guess I'll cling to hope until I get home from work and can play the game myself - or until I check this thread while the updates are downloading. Please post lots of lovely spoilers, people!
  24. ... ouch. That's got to be a record - my Watcher was dumped before she even started the game.
  25. Hmm. I wonder if there's a way to tell whether you've done the quest "correctly" in an end-game save - perhaps by the order of quest updates in the journal. I'll have to mess around with that tonight.
