I don't know, but some of you spam psychos need to be banned. Anyone with a higher registration number than mine, with a post count higher by 100+ than mine needs a good thrashing.

I don't really care. All the shows I watched are still there, so screw it. The production values on some of those G4 shows are atrocious though. Not to mention they all seem laced with a heavy dose of cheese value. Like most of the posts around here.

Who would you most like to meet in real life
StillLife replied to Cantousent's topic in Way Off-Topic
^ Hahahah If I was to meet someone from round here, I guess it would be cool to get a chance to hang out with the Situationist. So we could bullsh*t about music. Eldar would be good to have a chat with too. Always seemed like a patient and friendly guy to me. Except when I first joined the BIS boards and he accused me of being a misguided, one-time-posting troll. -
Screw story. All games have stories. What matters most to me is how much the player can feel like they influence that story.

As of now, what are your thoughts on KOTOR II?
StillLife replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
So far, I'm a little disappointed with what I've heard. I was hoping Obsidian would give the game a nice shaking up, but it sounds like they're basically just going with more of the same. Oh well, whatever. -
Ok, thanks for the info. I had a hunch that Fable would end up more of an adventure Zelda style game than an RPG. Kinda sounds like it. Or maybe more of a Sims meets Zelda?
-
Sounds like an interesting experience Eldar. Nice hearing directly from someone who's actually played Fable and Jade Empire, as I'm looking forward to both of them. One question: Is there any NPC dialogue in Fable? And how did that whole aspect seem?

God This Place Died Quick
StillLife replied to Vanidar Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
All the crazed Star Wars/BioWare fans have kept me at bay as of late. If you're waiting on people to post, it's probably time to find something else to do. Or join another board or something. -
Senseless spam, cause I'm an idiot.
-
Ok, I admit that could get a bit tedious. They didn't mix it up enough is the problem though. It was the same two or three lines over and over. There was like an agitated one, a friendly one, and a curious one or something, and that was it.

Suggestions To The Devs.
StillLife replied to Dead Skin Mask's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You my friend, represent all that is wrong with RPGs. Don't tell me, you like giant rats too? <_< -

If my character hadn't been a light sider in KotOR, I would've run Carths punk ass through. All that whining and doubting...here my guy was being Mr. compassion and peace, and he's acting like I just killed his dog. I liked the character up to the point when the whining started though. I thought he was going to be Han-Soloish.
-
I agree. If my character - some super power having badass - wants to get a little action from one of his female companions, he should be able to. Romances have always seemed very popular with the female side of BioWares audience too, so what the heck. I don't really care when the options not included though.

A neat suggestion to the devs?
StillLife replied to nightcleaver's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmmm... You went on and on about this great idea, but you never mentioned what the idea was? Is there a paragraph missing there or something? -
Everyone who signed up post-Sith Lords...
StillLife replied to Lord Tingeling's topic in Way Off-Topic
You aren't the only one. I am most definitely passing by this game. Yeah come on Visc, you said that repeatedly about the first one. You know you're curious to see what touches Obsidian will add. No? -
...What I want to know is how you people made a five page thread about an avatar?

I have a bad feeling about KOTOR 2.....
StillLife replied to xtrazx75's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
And so it begins. And I'll just go on record and state that after FO2 and PS:T, I wanted to have Chris Avellones nameless ones. Of course, one person from a development team is only responsible for so much. It's the whole that matters. Obsidian is still a different company, and may have a completely different approach to RPGs than BIS did. People need to keep that in mind. -
I could access it too, though I think it is supposed to be only for complete members? Anyway, thanks a lot for pointing it out.
-
Everyone knows that. Or at least I would think. If they've got the time they will, if they don't, they won't. No big deal. I could understand what you're saying if there were a bunch of people demanding they get answers, but obviously it's not like that, right? If they decide they don't want to talk about it anymore, they won't bother. It's pretty much the same on any developers board. Take a look around. Edit: Nevermind, I see what you mean. And I agree.
-
That would be next to impossible. There would be enough lines to fill up a starring role in a movie if they did that. Plus they would need at least a male and a female, not to mention possibilities for dark or light characters. It would be great, but quite insane. Would be nice if they did it BG style where you could just choose from a few presets for combat dialogue and such (I don't remember that being in KotOR btw Malfidae). Is that what you were asking?

What do you think the twist(s) will be in KOTOR II
StillLife replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
^ I liked that movie. If you're talking amnesia as a plot device, there's also Memento, The Majestic, The Bourne Identity, and Inferno (Ray Liotta) to name a few recent ones. All of those have the same basic plot twist as KotOR too, except for the Majestic. I still liked how it was handled in the game though. -
Heh. Oh well, we're Black Isle refugees. B)
