  1. Yup, some unofficial one too... Anyway, seems nice so far. And the voice acting is awesome.
  2. The menu of melee weapons appears, I just don't see any fists there. :S (the F lock is on) EDIT: Nevermind, I opened the game with console and added the fists.
  3. I've started bloodlines. I'm at the tutorial where I have to fight with my fists. Only problem is that the fists do not appear when I press F1. Am I missing something or what? Any ideas?
  4. I read Monster yesterday (the manga). It was nice. I liked most of it, but I felt that the end should be more climatic. Now I'm thinking of reading 20th century boys.
  5. I do think that the first option is impossible to do and the second shouldn't be done exclusively in a role playing game. What I mean is that "player skill" will always play a role whether it is the obvious type like twitch play or the not so obvious type like problem solving skill (which is used in combat as well, when for example you choose who to shoot first or when to take cover and reload) but the character's skills should be a factor as well in a rpg (I don't think there's reason to explain why is that, right?). Since AP was labelled as an action-RPG from the beginning I was expecting the combat to require twitch play. Now whether I will like it or not I think that would depend of how it will be implemented. Generally, since I do believe that the player's abilities will always "interfere" with the character's (one way of another) I tend to find the notion "it depends on what kind of game you'd like to play" more accurate that the whole "what is an RPG" debate. So if the developers want to make a game that will require your hand-eye coordination skill they would make it more towards twitch play but if they want to make a game that requires one's analytical skill more they would try to erase the action-y parts to let the player focus on the strategic parts (by making it turn-based or something). At least that's my take on it at any rate. P.S.: I can't really know about the third option, I've never played Oblivion.
  6. What I liked about Bioshock was its "mature" setting. And when I say "mature" I mean, that it feels real. Characters are well done, the city feels like a city etc. The story I didn't like that much (but I was spoiled about it so that may be the reason). But RPG it ain't. It's a shooter that gets quite bland and repetitive when it comes to gameplay. EDIT: What I really hate about my posting is that I press "Preview post" so many times, that in the end someone has already said what I was trying to say far better than I ever could.
  7. And you should wait for the Enhanced Edition of the Witcher if you decide on getting it. I played it through. The game was good (but not as good as a lot of people said). The story was from mediocre to good-ish with some really nice touches here and there, the C&C was nice, the maturity of the setting wasn't really there, the visuals were stunning, the environments gorgeous, the atmosphere captivating, but it's greater problem was the gameplay. And that's 'cause a lot of times the whole experience seemed just like a chore. I'm not really sure if I can recommend it. I mean, I kinda liked it but I'm a huge sucker for dark fantasy and still it managed to make me say all that stuff about it. If you find the dark fantasy setting to your liking and don't mind sassy in-game comments about the game's moral ambiguity (probably try not to take the RPG-watch review about the game's story too seriously as well) then it would be a nice experience, I think. Anyway, I sometimes think I'm overly too critical with this game for some reason. Maybe I set my expectations too high. Still, you asked about opinions and that's mine. Maybe people that liked the game can give you an idea of what they thought of it. Psychonauts is like one of the awesomest games in the universe or something, btw.
  8. I spent a night watching Kieślowski's decalogue. I now feel like a different person or something to that effect.
  9. I just feel compelled to complete it all. I don't really know why. It's like that thing I do and clear every area as much as possible in Baldur's Gate 1. But still it takes quite some time, even running straight through it and as noted you lose various quest items and other things like that. I think there's a part of the Equalizer there as well.
  10. I restarted Baldur's Gate 2 with a chaotic neutral rogue today. Now I just need to force myself through Irenicus' dungeon, in order to start enjoying my game. :|
  11. Wa-BAM! Reference! I would nae have been as hyper about it if there wasn't a specific place for them in the Forgotten Realms. Trust me, they fit well. And they're pretty and FUN. And the word "dinosaur" just makes the 3rd grader in me shriek with glee. If I had my way at these times, the game would be called Neverwinter Nights 2: ZOMG YOU GUYS DINOSAURS. Or even Dinosaur Dinosaur 2: Dinosaur Dinosaur Dinosaur. I think I've mentioned before how they don't let me name things. Pretty and FUN, eh? Well that changes the equation considerably. I haven't worked out all the math yet, but I estimate the answer as "If it fits, I'll like it!" :D
  12. I dislike dinosaurs in fantasy, as well. I find them totally unfitting along with swords and whatnot. Still the game sounds great enough for me even with those things in it.
  13. Another interview at rock paper shotgun EDIT: Damn my lack of sleep
  14. *casts raise dead on the thread* Haze Well I don't know the game, but I laughed nonetheless.
  15. Wow, I got 27% chance of survival. I'm a goner for sure.
  16. What? Countries? Trust me, that would be unfair for you. :| /off-topic
  17. I ****ing hate my country.
  18. hahaha, indeed they may did. :p

  20. xkcd. Anyone into science will love it. Anyone not into science will love it as well. EDIT: Deraldin beat me to it.
  21. The World Ends With You JRPGs and interactive storytelling. Not really funny though.
  22. Paikiller Hooray for mindless killing!
  23. So now I'm wrong for thinking I was wrong? Damn it. Anyway, that's about what I originally though that phrase means. I'm glad it turns out I wasn't that much away from reality.
