What Xard said. In BG and NWN stats has more to do with your class, but PS:T is extremely story-driven. There are 2 or 3 unavoidable important fights in the game (and a handful of easy random encounters) so you don't need to have a powerful (combat-wise) character. Also wizards are somewhat different from the typical FR fantasy. There are not many spells in the game, so if you don't like wizards because it gets boring to choose from countless spells (or you have some problem with pointy hats) that wouldn't be a problem in PS:T. Anyway, whatever you do, to enjoy the game (especially if it's the first time you play it), try to have high CHA/WIS/INT.

Girl Commits Suicide Over Internet Prank
Istima Loke replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Way Off-Topic
If it seemed as if I implied that men are or should be more responsible than women, then I apologise. But my argument is based on the same root as your. As society expects from men to be more masculine than emotional, it also expects from them to bear greater part of the responsibility. Thus when something goes wrong, they feel most of the responsibility is theirs, thus they make their burden greater than that of their female counterpart. Anyway, I could be wrong, though that's what I heard from a discussion in school from a (female) sociologist (about how society views both genders). Also your example with discrimination is irrelevant to my point as there is a great gap between being and feeling discriminated. I hope I have made my point clear. -
Girl Commits Suicide Over Internet Prank

More men commit suicide than women, because society gives them the role of the person responsible for their close environment (work, family etc.). So when a problem exists they feel greater burden than their female counterpart, leading to suicide. I, as well, don't think that this incident alone could have lead her to suicide. Things couldn't have been as great as the mother presents them and maybe the zealous overprotection from the parents didn't help either. -
Safiya says "Mother" and then you acquire a soul thingie that you will use later. Check your inventory (or Safiya's) to see if there is anything new. If I am mistaken (that I may be, as I answer from what I remember) someone correct me...

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on from now on.

My bad then, I though you meant that by being the fifth, the game was copied four times therefore boring and repetitive...

Is the Purgatorio released any time soon? I remember I was waiting for that...

Yes but if you take into consideration that the first zelda game didn't have anything but monsters, the second zelda game was RPG-like, the third one is the one that defined the basic Zelda games formula (the Link to the Past) and the forth which is Link's awakening is different, makes OoT the second game that follows the formula and the first 3d zelda game. Anyway, I think Yatzees' reviews are great. I even liked the PH one (even though I am a Zelda fanboy - and I don't agree with what he said to an extend).

I'm having a blast with my evil character. One of Many is (for me) the best of all the MotB NPCs.

I played it yesterday. It's funny indeed, but reminded me why I avoid point and click adventures. I just can never understand what I am supposed to be doing and as I lack patience I quickly end up using a walkthrough. But, I am still considering getting the first season. Edit: I think that one can also find this on Steam (the free episode)...

In Vista I can play Planescape: Torment (and other IE games), without stupid bugs that happened with XP. That alone is the reason I use them.

In case someone didn't notice in the news, there is a MotB contest held by the Codex. It's all about those little things that make the game world feel real. Here is the link (the examples presented are obviously spoilers). Since I am about to replay this game, I will be on the lookout. P.S.: I would have sounded like some kind of silly advertisement without the P.S.

I played some HL2 for the sake of the good old times....

I really got saddened by Kaelyn's ending, she was a great character. That means I have to replay again as a good character, to get the optimal. Thanks for the info.

I plucked my soul out of the wall and then I found the faceless man, cornered him, fought him and summoned the boy and the red wizard to give him back his self. I was a lawful good paladin. I actually don't know what are the other endings, I just had an urge to tear down the wall. (I'm definitely going to replay this game, whether it's possible to do so or not)

Last night I finished the game. Maybe I think I 'd prefer a different ending but, yeah, the game is great!

It's was a good length. Short enough that I can run through the entire thing just about whenever I want, however I still want more challenge rooms. I was also expecting more challenging puzzles, not from a perspective of being more hard or complicated but requiring to think more "original" in order to solve them. So, despite the awesome ending, I was left with the need of more...

hmm, must have missed that part. Thanks a bunch!

Sorry for derailing the conversation here but I have to ask, 'cause I have been running mindlessly around for some time now. Where is that ice hag that knows how to defeat the fire in Ashenwoods?

I 've started playing MotB again (I wasn't able for some time). The more I advance in this game the better it gets!
