I got Intimidate at either 2 or 3, and I got 1 extra Deflection. So I think you may be right. In tat case, realistically I can get Intimidate to 20 or so if I plan on it - which would give it 10 Deflection? That's kind of a lot on a gear piece. Put that on a Paladin or a Paladin multi-class with a good shield then you'd get really retarded Deflection

I noticed that the armor from the Valero family and the Essence Interruptor can be boosted by civil skills (Intimidate for the armor and Metaphysic) for the hunting bow. Two questions following this: First, what other decent gear have this kind of requirement? Eder has only 2 or 3 Intimidate at level 11; and worse yet, my archer (Serafen) has 0 Metaphysic at level 11. So I am not going to benefit as much, but I will prepare better in future runs. Second, equally important, how much benefit do you get per civil skill point?

Depend on build, if your build has 15+ acc bonus, then pick Essence Interrupter with Modal otherwise Frostseeker Holy crap - I never even checked Hunting Bow modal. My God! Thanks!

For early game (say, level 7-12?), what do you guys think is better - Frostseeker or Essence Interrupter?

Stole the Devil of Caroc armor and everything else in that shop that could be stolen! Scordeo's Trophy next - and thanks everyone who pointed out these items, as well as how to steal efficiently! By the way, is Amra's AoE foe-only or can it do friendly damage as well? If I role-play Gimli in a future PotD, I will have to give him some axes, and this is the earliest one I've found so far that is not seemingly terrible.

I am a bit confused now. People still talk as if the old PoE 1 weapon damage type immunities - e.g. immunities to pierce, slash, or crush damage - exist, but I do not see them in the in-game "Cyclopedia." There I see zero enemies with weapon damage type immunities. Instead, I see stuff like "Immunity: Constitution Afflictions" and so on. So what am I missing? Are some enemies immune (or resistant) to some weapon damage types or not? Also, under Defenses, I see stuff like "tShock: 00, Crush: 00." What in the world is this supposed to mean? I am really confused...

I am level 10 now, and yet I am having a Devil of a time trying to acquire end-game weapons - or frankly any decent weapons at all. Basically, I have seen no weapon that I'd use long-term other than the Blessings vendor hunting bow and PoE 1 carry-over sword and estoc yet. In particular, there is nothing even mid-game-worthy for melee classes that I can see so far. Where are they? In particular, I'd really like a pair of decent weapons for my other melee dual wielder (I've equipped my main with the PoE 1 sword and the gladiator sword from the first area). I guess I can go get Mowdry soon (I accidentally went there and got lost at level 7 and had to re-start in my first playthrough), but what else? Also, just perusing the Wiki, I am concerned by the lack of 1H melee weapons outside of swords and sabres. What the heck? There's like 1 decent weapon for each weapon type, and I bet most of them cannot be acquired until the end-game. Sorry for the rant. But I am very frustrated.

Goodness. So I can't just rely on skill and gear. Damn, dun make me work too hard! How do dual gunpowder weapons work? I recall that in PoE 1 I avoided them because of hearing about massive reload times. Is that no longer the case in PoE 2? It's a bit jarring that so many folks recommend gunpowder weapons in PoE 2 when they were shunned in PoE 1 - except as a alpha strike tool in some weapons switch scheme.Well you attack/reload faster with duals. More importantly, abilities which are Full Attack shoot both weapons in quick succession and proceed to only reload the offhand gun. Martial classes such as rogues can and should spam cheap full attack abilities (such as Crippling Strike). With duals that's 2 chances to debuff/Dot the enemy at the cost of 1 attack. Also if the enemy wasn't susceptible to sneak attacks before, after the debilitating shot from the first hand he usually is prepped to eat sneak damage from the second shot. Plus dual hand mortar aoe blunderbusses (from Serafen and his quest) are really potent VS whole groups and enemies with not so great reflex. Hmm, so which gunpowder weapons can be dualed then? Pistols and Blunderbusses? What else? Also, how do crossbows fare? Only reason I ask is, because there is one available very early from that store.

Veilpiercer and Omaku bow's crit till you miss is pretty good with their added utility, but when it comes to multiclass war bows I like to use a variant of this build https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103542-single-class-build-arcana-archer-ranger/ though it's not as strong without the twinned shot, but it's still pretty crazy. All the war bows seem excellent in this game! I am a bit miffed that certain weapons have a variety of good choices (for instance, swords, sabres, and war bows), but certain weapons have like 1 legitimate options. I hope future DLCs and updates address this problem somewhat.
