  1. IMO, the reviewer was simply looking for ways to back his "FO3 = OMG buggy" thesis. Not the kind of approach I'm looking for in a game review. Edit: RPS are usually even handed. This was a first impressions article, he's experienced several bugs in four hours and he's mentioning them, he also said he's having fun so far. Given that it's an RPG I also assume that not that much is going on at the moment aside from introducing the world and the obligatory tutorials. I'm sure the full review will shine light on the good wherever it's due.
  2. I think Quinns meant he was using an xbox controller on his PC. He mentions that he hasn't "seen any freezes yet. Just crashing to desktop" in the comments section.
  3. I'm sure with all the disagreements about how to resolve quests we'll be too busy hating each other to gang up on you :D
  4. One of the jedi classes I imagine, probably the healer (consular?) as that's the role I usually play in MMOs.
  5. A prize for omniscience should probably go to either Funcroc or that psychic octopus.

I'm a quarter through Yahtzee's book 'Mogworld' at the moment. Dreadgrave is awesome, reminds me a lot of The Monarch.
  7. Thanks for the swift reply
  8. I hope this doesn't sound like a jab or anything but are there any memory leak issues or anything similar for the PC version with fixes that would be handy to know? Edit: Your point was that the memory cache should regularly be cleared on the 360 anyway wasn't it?
  9. She was probably my favorite of the group, I wish they'd kept the old cast in the expansions. Oh well, enjoy
  10. Of course they do
  11. Die Hard Trilogy was pretty good imho, tripply so because it was 3 games rolled into one. Goldeneye was arguably the best game ever released on the Nintendo 64. Alien 3 was really good on the Super Nintendo. A few (though not all) of the Lucas Arts Indiana Jones games were supposed to be good quality as was X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter. And the Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter games have also received a fair bit of praise. They do exist they're just few and far between.
  12. I bought my dad a cane today because he's been having pains in his leg. After about 2 hours of carrying it I found it to be surprisingly addictive, caught myself subconsciously doing a couple of House'isms and noticed that people on the bus were much nicer than usual. I was tempted to keep it but now I feel like some sort of cane-stealer so I'm going to have to give it up
  13. I think the only bug I encountered in Fallout 3 was that a minor quest giver NPC I was supposed to meet at a certain location spawned, started running in a single direction and never stopped. That one was weird. I hope in New Vegas a life of hard drugs, tobacco and alcohol will have sufficiently knocked the wind out of everyone's sails.
  14. Tim Langdell
  15. Aaliyah Haughton's acting was great. I haven't seen Queen of the Damned but in Romeo Must Die she was charasmatic and believable and made the most out of her part. I'm sure she would have gone on to do some really brilliant movies and that we're worse off for not seeing that.
  16. Left 4 Dead (and l4d2) dlc "The Sacrifice" is out. And the last part of the comic has been released. Hurrah.
  17. The Hopeless Endeavour Articulate Jim: A Search For Something
  18. I'm trying to picture what the car chase scene in ME2 would have been like if Roman or one of the other characters had been a passenger in the back.
  19. Turned 25 this week. Listening to "Yes Man" the audiobook version (Different to and better than the film imho) by Danny Wallace. Also wondering if something I said to my aunt over the phone earlier was misunderstood and I need to apologize, or whether it wasn't misunderstood and apologizing would just be really weird.
  20. I think the overlaying storylines aren't that bad actually. MGS was a sort of Greek tragedy, MGS2 was... well ignore that one. MGS3 was a story of betrayal and patriotism and MGS4 was among other things the story of an old man who is nearing death and his life catching up with him. And as said even a lot of the blatant wtf moments (which there were a lot of) like "I live on through this arm!" are presented in a way that doesn't make you turn off the consol in exasperation. And the games do touch on some really interesting subjects like cloning, that whole situation with Naomi, her parents and Grey Fox, loyalty to your country, world issues like nuclear weapons, the increase of PMCs ect, ect. . I'm not saying it's one of the great works of our time but there is some substance there.
  21. She's "The" commando in the games history. She created Close Quarters Combat, basically created all the special forces techniques, and was a soldier her entire life. I see
