  1. I've noticed that the time it takes me to post even a sentance the counter usually increases by $1000 or so, it's mental. $864,912 now.
  2. I didn't think it had even been 24 hours yet? $860,360 as of 11:23 gtm, it looks like they're on their way to exceeding the goal before the end of today actually. Well done Obsidian!
  3. Hopefully this means that any money troubles Obsidian may have been having are well and truly over now. It must be a fun day at the office . It's crazy how quickly the counter is climbing, they made a few thousand just while I was writing this.
  4. Thanks, I hadn't spotted the FAQ section
  5. I just wanted to ask if there any plans to add a PayPal payment option somewhere for Eternity before the kickstarter ends? Good luck by the way, the project sounds like it's going to be something special.
  6. I've been playing the latest battlefield 3 update called armoured kill. I'm loving it so far. The maps are massive, the gameplay feels very different because of the nessesity and volume of vehicles and a lot of the equipment that I'd let collect dust I'm now finding more use for. Also, the jets finally have enough space that I don't feel like I'm trapped inside a glass box, it's great.
  7. After those Drowsy, you might want to try the DeFoe Series by Zero Punctuation's Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. They're all free. http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/5days/ http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/7days/ http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/notes/ http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/6days/
  8. If you're trying to capture a lot of territory and stores ect because you think it will impact the plot then stop right now, it has no effect on the story whatsoever.
  9. There was an RTS relesed not so long ago called Archon that looked pretty interesting. The big pitch was actual time-travel in real-time against real people. You're right though it's hard to think of many RTS games that aren't sequels that have done well recently.

  11. The soundtrack is worth downloading by the way.
  12. You can actually turn that and other light/dark side notifications off from the the options menu, I preferred them off personally because it saved me worrying about whether I'd gotten a conversation "wrong" and also with the light/dark notification sometimes plots were given away by revealing that you were doing something bad before you would have known otherwise. It took me about 6 months to find the VIP area on the station though.
  13. Battlefield 3 developers show off one of the most beautiful maps ever made.
  14. They don't go into story or reveal new aliens and weaponry. It's just a couple of tactical missions early on in the campaign showing you the game mechanics. If you've played the original x-com you will not see anything story or character related that you wouldn't have expected to be in the game anyway.
  15. I'd have liked to see Curse of Monkey Island and Escape from Monkey Island on steam.
  16. Aesthetically the old x-com games never looked very creepy either, it was all sound effects and the impending doom of your agents who'd you'd invested so much time in. The live feed was played on normal mode with agents that had some experience, but a couple did still go down pretty quickly when caught in a bad position, I'd imagine on the harder settings with iron-man on there will still be some tense moments. Whether the new game will actually be as fun or have the longevity is anyones guess but the game is looking better than I thought it would.
  17. If you don't keep up with individual developers then it's an easy mistake to make really. The way the statement phrases it obviously implies that the band got back together.
  18. Cyanide's Blood Bowl has been very faithful and a lot of fun. You have to mess around with router ports to play online but if you liked the tabletop game then it's a blast. Dungeon Bowl less so apparently, I've not played it but apparently the tight spaces and rules don't work nearly as well as traditional BB.
  19. That looks great, I loved Warhammer Quest as a boardgame. If I had an ipad or iphone I'd definately buy it but it's not worth buying either just for the one game. Do you know if there is any chance of a PC release later?
  20. Starship Corporation, you're designing spaceships then testing how they react to a bunch of typical sci-fi tropes like ship-to-ship combat, boarding by pirates, insane AI ect. It's a nice pitch if nothing else.
  21. There's a really interesting spaceship design and management game called Starship Coroporation looking for kickstarter backing. It's already met it's goal so that's good news and it looks absolutely brilliant, you should check it out if you've ever dreamed of designing space ships and fighting off boarding parties, crazy AI, ship-to-ship combat and other emergencies.
  22. He hasn't actually changed very much since doing that movie really.
  23. Sadly not.
  24. Does this help?
