  1. Thank you very much for correcting me I read the RotR rulebook some time ago and then skimmed the other rulebooks, because they are the same. Only the borders with New Rules caught my attention. So, the Burglar and Weasel should force you to bury a card even if you do not take the check, but the Vault of Greed (ugh) or Shimmering Veils of Pride are strongly affected by not being able to NOT take a check
  2. Yes, cannibal haunts are pain in the donkey, but you can plan for that possibility (at least you have the prior warning in the "henchman & villain millitary parade" before you even start the scenario). Combine that with Silas, who is in the same scenario, and you have two bad things in here. But nonetheless, this is waaaay less infuriating than Scaling Mhar Massif (6-3) or Thassilonian Sins (3 Villains).
  3. Well, the wording on the digital card is somewhat unclear in "which Silas Vekker am I supposed to defeat - the first or the second or both?", but it is a correct programming for the text shown on the digital card. The bug is in the fact that Silas does not work in this way in card game - the wording is completely different on the physical card, meaning the lone character encounters him only once. It is annoying as the Lower Planes (pick your choice - Abyss or Baator), but at least it is only in one scenario and you may not even meet Silas (relying on temporary closing). Among my heroes, the only ones able to take him down without massive Shelyn/Milani blessing support are Kyra and Lini. I did not level Seelah or Sajan to 6th adventure, so maybe these two can survive as well... SO the developers need to change the wording on the card picture and the functionality of the card. They even have the correct behaviour coded in the Tangletooth henchman, who works exactly as Silas Vekker is supposed to work. We shall wait - if it got on their list of issues, half of the battle is already won.
  4. I want to chime in as well. Like Ethics Gradient explained in your other post, this game is a VERY faithful representation of the card game. There are some differences that are sometimes infuriating (like not having the option to outright banish the boon instead of forced roll - I am looking at you, Burglar, Giant Weasel and especially, the Vault of Greed location), but otherwise are purely cosmetical. Holy candle (banish instead of bury), Stride instead of Levitation and some others are such examples. In NO way is the Pathfinder card game a collectible card game like Magic the Gathering (or Tragic the Garnering for Fallout 2 fans). Instead, the cards are always "in the box" and you have the chance of encountering them, nothing more and nothing less. Please read the rules for the card game or watch the tutorial videos. Banishing a card is usually a very bad thing, but it works exactly as intended, returning the card to the pool / box / Collection. So while I grumble that I have to do it, I plan for the possibility. But it is still in the Collection - and you can encounter it again, later. It would be much worse if you lost the card completely (from the Collection), but that is not happening unless a bug causes that.
  5. I'm not sure this is true. I have at least 12+ of Blessing of Erastil. Maxed out both the Monk and the Rogue's hands with it. Didn't farm for it at all, just naturally ran into that many of them. Have you encountered all of them during regular play with the characters that had them at the moment? I played quite a lot on Legendary (starting some months before PC release) to unlock all the alternate characters and other gold-expensive stuff and never observed any blessing that would cross that limit. My Kyra had 4 Blessings of Sarenrae and Seoni 4 Blessings of Pharasma and never ever had I encountered even one of them. The fifth blessing was supplied to Kyra from the second party. Of course, you can have any number of cards in your deck even in excess of the numbers listed in the Collection. So I had Ezren with 3 Lightning Bolt cards (2 in Collection) and Merisiel with two B-deck Masterwork Tools (1 in Collection) without problems.
  6. The easiest way to do it is - start a new group with other characters and farm the blessings with it (some scenario with many blessings cards among locations), transferring Blessing of Sarenrae to the first party's Kyra. The more Blessings you have, the lower the probability that you find it in the deck (at least from my observations)... In the Collection, there are 4 (or 5 with C) cards of any blessing. If you have, say, 3 Blessing of Sarenrae in your party, your chance of encountering another is ~ 1/4 (the game says - OK, you have three, which means that only 1 more can be encountered).
  7. Katagasm, please write your PFID number shown in settings (a terribly long set of hexadecimal numbers) here so that MrBishop or other developer can help you more easily.
  8. Heh, great and very funny post. If only had I read this when I was trying to finish that on Heroic. Wand of Enervation and spells were pure terror even with Ceoptra (hopefully some bugs are corrected) and more so with Karzoug.
  9. You are not cheating if the Wands proliferate without your active participation. Without this, I would have been left without any Wand(s) in my first playthrough because of encountering auto-achievable item in the Vault of Greed location, losing an item (quess which). You can have more Wands than one when you combine items from two or more different parties who played through that scenario. It is not something that would happen in the card version (limited amount of actual cards), but it is only a sort-of cheating. I tend to banish any cards that I have in more copies than the amount listed in the Collection to be as close to card version as possible. That is also the maximum amount you can achieve in one party when playing any scenarios. Notice that when you have 2 Cure spell, you will never encounter another in any game (that would be third) - sometimes they are given to you as rewards, which is why my Merisiel once had two Masterwork Tools (1 card in B deck) even without the C deck (adds +1 card). "Fun" fact with that (and probably a bug) - so far, I have never encountered a fifth blessing of any kind (i.e. if I have four of them in the deck) even though I own B deck (4 cards) and C deck (+1 card). So in these cases I transferred Blessing of Sarenrae to Kyra from a second group to have all 5 of them - you may call this cheating-to-circumvent-a-probable-bug.
  10. I have a rather slow (i.e. very slow) connection at home, so sometimes the reward for scenario completion is shown as 0 added to 0 (server / client interaction is taking too long for the app to wait, I suppose). But I have always noticed that afterwards, once the connection is "established" again, the gold amounts match precisely. So, you do not see the reward added to your gold heap, but it is being added anyway. You may be right, I noticed this only after the addition of goblin adventure and its second update, but it may have happened a bit earlier, but not earlier than the PC release. The only people who will know it precisely (let's hope so) are the developers
  11. Maybe, but just before the golbin update, I was regularly using 3-hero party to 'farm' gold (the incentive in doing so is weaker now that i have every character and its alt - not goblins). And the count was almost precisely 250 gold - 200 for scenario completion and ca. 50 for defeating banes, closing locations and banishing cards. With Rune of Wealth, that translated into 1 chest per scenario. Nowadays, banes yield nothing and the gold awarded does not show correctly and its amount is smaller. So, I would not say that the 70+30*n reward is here long, quite the opposite )
  12. Could be a UI glitch as well. What party size and difficulty are you playing? He/she is talking about the gold coins not correctly awarded at the end of any scenario at Legendary. See https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/93530-loosing-gold-each-game/ The "missing gold" is the difference between 70+30×n (server-side) and 50+50×n (client-side and descriptions in-game), where n=number of heroes. In this case, it was 6 players, which concurs with the formulas.
  13. I noticed this bug just after the second "goblin" update (the last update). I believe that there are two main possibilities - either they tried to solve another bug and incidentally reverted the server-side logic to its previous version (i.e. 70+30*n gold, which checks exactly with your 6-hero group), or they reverted it intentionally and "just" forgotten to update the graphic representation AND the in-game texts that are "binding" to us... Whatever happened, it seems to me a reaaaaally counter-productive situation to have two systems (one graphical and one server-side) that can have different versions at all. If the function was just "input: add X gold > query the server > output: show the actual amount of gold awarded", it would be much better. Right now, the client queries the server the same way and displays the gold coins gained only when it establishes connection to the server.
  14. For me in Android version, the Dawnflower Favor works almost as intended, both with Blessing of Sarenrae, and with Favor of Sarenrae, regardless of the target of the blessing. The only bug I observed is that no such blessing is tallied into the Play n blessings on other hero's check challenge. And yes, there are many bugs, but mainly in the newer content - AD6 and such. In recent weeks, I usually play only a few games per day to finish challenges and earn a little gold, but I like the game anyway. I suppose the Obsidian management does not give their programmers enough space to betatest and these bugs are not corrected right away.
  15. I do not know what happened to you, but daily quests award the gold coins usually at the same time they are completed. For me in Android, a graphical glitch appears sometimes, seemingly giving me larger amounts of gold than it should. For example I have 235 gold coins. Finishing a daily challenge should give me e.g. 100 gold, but the client sometimes shows me graphics of gaining gold with "100 gold added to a 347 gold (actual amount was different)" even though I have 235 gold So, unless you encountered a bug, the gold coins were given to you automatically with no input needed from you. The weekly challenges (finish 3 daily challenges during a week), however, are not finished automatically and they just "hang" in the second tab of the Challenges menu, waiting to be collected manually. I do not know why such a different behaviour originated, but whatever.
  16. To be fair, it should be noted that Sihedron Medallion works on all types of damage, not only combat damage. However, most other cards reduce only combat damage - Bracers of Protection, reveal/recharge powers of most armors and so. The info that you already used an item of that type is a great idea. It would be perfect to see some info why you can't use armor or something (lock displayed) when damaged by Bunyip (damage may not be reduced) or you have used the Snakeskin Tunic to boost ranged attack, for example.
  17. Please, could you state the actual conditions for this bug to occur? See the pinned post Reporting Issues: Useful Information to Provide If the Goblin Raider originated from some other card (Goblin Nest, Goblin Horde) or specific adventure rule, it should have a small text "Summoned" right above the card itself. And as written in the rules for original game - you may close the location only if the defeated henchman came from that location deck. Summoned henchman do not allow the closing of any location.
  18. I have noticed similar thing - "lost" gold - a while back. I even recorded precise amounts of gold for each bane defeated (as defeating banes also does not reward the player in RotR as it should be) and wrote them in this forum. And I found out that there is a discrepancy between stated (and shown) gold coins and the amount awarded by the server or something. It shows you "50+50×characters" gold earned, but the server says: no, no - it is "70+30×characters" (or something like that). And the next time the game checks the server for the actual amount of your gold coins and you are seemingly losing gold. Both this and the no-gold-for-defeating-banes bug are very serious bugs, but so far I did not see any developer's response. Let's hope they are aware of the bug and working on its correction (along with many reported Goblins!bugs).
  19. Great list of bugs. Hopefully the devs will see it and find a way to correct them. About the Wand of Enervation - I do not know what causes this behaviour, but this duplication bug is here a very long time. Maybe it happens in some specific combinations of cards. I have obtained many copies as well (I think 6 in total), but some vere lost in the 'stupid' thassilonian location "Banish item when you would obtain an item". Other two were lost along with Ezren (completion up to 6-5) when he disappeared. Regarding the key words banish / bury ... - you may be right. I started to play the game once I knew the rules for the card game so I understood very well the distinction between all 6 actions. There is some help available in the app, but I never used it Ad adventure 6. Huh. Either you are a masochist or you are VERY good. Probably the latter I had to divide my usual 4-hero group into 2-hero groups to even complete the scenarios in Heroic and Legendary. Especially the 6-4 and 6-5 were ugly, but 6-3 was also very bad. I never experienced the loop you describe but it seems terrible. It reminds me of adventure 5-4 (3 villains) in legendary with +5 difficulty for each defeated villain. Try to divide the group into two three-man/woman teams and you will be definitely OK. Maybe Never played Rise of Goblins, but there are many reports about this bug with blessings in RoG. It seems to be always with blessings and not some other cards. I hope they will correct this in the next update. Despite many bugs (mainly in Heroic & Legendary runs, but not always - Muck Graul and Ogrekin can ruin your day; do not Stride into Temple), this is quite an enjoyable game for me. Nevertheless, I swore many times when attempting to defeat Ceoptra, Karzoug and some other Villains. Mostly due to bugs similar to your Wand of Enervation & Sunburst - e.g. playing a spell against Ceoptra, succeeding the check, applying Wand and then - I may not play the spell again? Huh??? I may not play any spell? Double ugh - with Seoni's d4 or Ezren's d6. Better forfeit and run again.
  20. This is probably described much better elsewhere and some searching on this forum will reveal them. In general, cards in the Collection can be encountered during the subsequent play. That is, you may look at them as a gallery of all possible encounters and if you have something in there, you may encounter it in the future and have the chance to obtain it. By buying treasure chests, you are expanding this collection by 3-4 cards, which may or may not be new (probability, rarity and other boring statistical stuff). However, there is a rather recent addition to the game - Stash and Unclaimed tab. Previously, you just enlarged your collection by buying chests. Now, a 'complimentary' copy of any card obtained is placed into a Unclaimed section (the same window as the Stash, right tab), from which you can 'claim' it by dragging into your character deck. Stash is a temporary storage place for any claimed and/or obtained cards that you do not want to lose, but do not need at the moment as well (up to 10 cards can be stored there). All surplus cards are banished for some minor gold amount (look for other posts asking about the numbers, it is Adventure_deck+1+rarity gold; cards with small hammer are always worth nothing). But that does not mean they are gone. They remain in the collection (with currently no way to remove them from there) so you can - and probably will - encounter them later. There is currently one huge problem with the Unclaimed tab - allowing to drag a adventure-deck-6 card into a starting hero's equipment. So you can (nonsensically) have a "lvl 1" fighter equipped with a super strong magic warhammer, whereas his friends are fighting with sticks and rocks (OK, quarterstaff and slings)...
  21. I never experienced this bug as I don't use Stride. But there are several threads in the forum about this long-known and generally unsolvable error. I do not know if forfeiting the scenario will be possible. If not, contact the support team with your PFID. Just never do that again, the temple should not be the target of a Stride unless they fix that.
  22. I have twice observed that the store showed I don't have any Runes of Wonder. In fact, I had more than 20. In that situation, I didn't try to open the chest and restarted the application. And now they are back. So there is some problem here, but I don't know what causes this - it seems totally random. Let's hope the developers will be able to help you.
  23. Sorry, my bad - I forgot that henchmen are supposed to earn you 4 golds instead of 5. So, there are at least four different bugs in play: 1) You do not get ANY rewards for defeating any banes, at least in RotR 1-1 Legendary, but probably at least in RotR adventure 1 2) Visual bug with permanently closing locations - shows the amount of gold corresponding to +10 gold (as if Rune of Wealth was active), but the next update sends the client correct value of +5 gold. This appears to subtract the amount of gold you have - a discouraging situation for anyone: "where did my gold disappear to?" even if the gold should not be properly added 3) Something strange with adventure completion rewards (in the 2nd adventure, I got 160 instead of 200 for 3 characters; the 1st adventure is inconclusive, but it might have happened as well because the numbers match 502 + 160 + 23 = 685). 4) Banishing cards from the chest (through Unclaimed area) could be sometimes faulty, I usually do not check this 5) The Spyglass has apparently the trait "You may play an additional item on this check" or lacks the trait "You played an item, you may not play another item", which is the same in effect. Additionally, I noticed that Favour of Nethys sometimes hangs the game when bringing Monster to the top. Going to the Collection and back brings back the "examine the top 3 card, select one to encounter" window. Blessing of Nethys does this in conjunction with the Sinspawn wildcard, but Favor of Nethys seems to do it much more often even without wildcards, but probably in specific locations / situations? Edit: With a 4-hero party, the reward for a Legendary scenario is 'only' 190 gold. So, the rewards follow the equation 70 + 30*n. Graphics and text in-game are for the correct 50+50*n.
  24. Yesterday, I noticed strange things with gold rewards in 1-1 Legendary (Runelords) playing on Android. Specifically, fewer gold coins after quest completion (25 banes). So, I wrote down my two scenarios today (quest for 2 Legendary) and definitely, something is very much broken after the last GoblinUpdate. For the record, every bane was defeated... 1st scenario: 485 gold Goblin Nest 3 Raiders 485 Traitor, Raider, location closed 492 Zombie giant, Goblin Dog, Hill Giant 492 Ripnugget, Bandit (temporary), location closed 497 Raider, Bandit, location closed 507 Ghost, Raider, game frozen, location not closed 502 Sneak, Plague Z., Battered Chest 502 Goblin Cutthroat, Ripnugget, endgame 702 I did not check the balance in the Stash window (see below) Banishing cards worth 23, end result 685!!!!! 2nd scenario: (Sinspawn wild card) Blacksmith, Siren, Sinspawn 685 Satyr, Sinspawn 685 Raider, Bandit, location closed, 695 shown, in the following hero's turn 690 Enchanter, Sinspawn 690 Pit Trap (another bug - I was able to reveal both Spyglass and Magical Spyglass) Bugbear, Sinspawn, Zombie, Sinspawn, Raider, location closed 700 shown, later 695 Hermit, Sinspawn, Goblin Pyro, Sinspawn 695 Raider, location closed 705 => 700 Tsuto, location closed 710 => 705 Ripnugget, end 905, quest reward (100) In the stash window, I checked the balance again 965?!!?!? Banishing cards worth 22, 987 (now it's OK?) Bought 1 chest, banished the gained cards for 19, 525 gold?? Should be 487+19 Bought 1 chest, banished the cards for 17, now a correct result of 42 So, in general. Defeating Henchmen does NOT give you 5 gold and if if does (strangely, all of them are regular henchmen that are NOT goblins, hint hint), it is subtracted immediately after. Quest rewards and banishing cards behave inconsistently. But the evidence is clear - someone screwed up in the programming. As I have some experience with that, I know how easily can that be done. Please look into it. This is the kind of bug that has huge potential for you to lose players.
  25. Have you tried going into the Vault and back? It will not help in removing the Monster & Barrier bug, but it could probably unlock your game - probably to some point before the freeze. If you already did this and/or tried to restart the game, the only option may be forfeiting (if possible). If nothing like that helps, contact the obsidian support staff with your PFID number. When I play "just for fun and gold" in Android (adventure 1-1 Legendary), I sometimes encounter similar issues with the "Horde-like" cards. Once I experienced similar issue with Ancient Skeletons (and without Warrens) and the Horde card still visible as small card beside the deck (as "card is currently being resolved") for the following several turns until the revealing Hero explored. It happened three times in succession .
