  1. Yeah, wouldn't want to play a D&D game in the style of DOS ... would rather just have a third DOS game ... I do like the camera in the DOS games, and the more 3D environment (though it is still 2D). Always after I play DOS and than play a Unity game, the static backgrounds feel very plain. They did a good job of updating isometric gameplay into a more modern day 2D environment. Ideally it would play like a traditional D&D game (and TB can be good for this), only bringing it into there isometric environment. Otherwise again they might as well make DOS3 ... that being said I doubt it will be totally free from some DOS mechanics which I think will create a lot of unhappy D&D fans, but potentially happy Larian fans?? It's gonna be really tough for them either way lol.
  2. Yes thank god that steam sucks so bad - why does the stupid thing give me trading cards ... honest what is that a feature? lol bring back retail stores and 3.5" floppy disks, I want to load 100 of them into me computer .... cry, cry I want all me games in one place, cry ... they will be, on your computer ... yes I think this post and people upset over steam is pretty ridiculous.
  3. And then there is this too, the return of some of my least favorite characters ... I know everyone disagrees ... generation gap sorry https://www.pcgamer.com/larian-teases-a-return-of-minsc-and-boo-in-baldurs-gate-3/
  4. I am beginning to think the weapons in Deadfire have two amazing features: 1) if you like a certain weapon for your character, you can usually find a unique that gives you a slight advantage and also looks pretty cool - you aren't locked out of using a x type because they suck compared to y weapon type 2) the other cool feature of the weapons is that if you are really into their unique properties, or a specific unique look, you can build a character that takes advantage of the unique properties and kick some arse (I guess you can build one that takes advantage of the look to but that is more subjective) These two features I think are very good reasons not to go for a super powerful weapon that rules them all (yes that was a Lord of the Rings reference). Of course if you aren't interested in building characters that take advantage of uniques, or you have no preference for roleplaying a certain type of weapon, you somewhat get left out ... That being said, I do enjoy the weapons in POE2, and there isn't actually that many unique weapons - I consistently sell everything but the uniques in my inventory so not to overcrowd the UI, and there really isn't that many - which is a good thing!!!
  5. So a few things - you have a AMD GRFX card? 6600M or 6700M I think yeah? I checked the AMD site: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-615 There is a possible mismatch with your Grfx card and DirectX 12 ... but that is a longshot. -- The other thing is that it looks like the internal Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 is running the displays? I get this from this line here: Is it possible you need to go into your bios and set it so that the grfx loads the AMD cards as the main Grfx device? Edit: Or maybe you need to reinstall the AMD grfx drivers or update them?
  6. Its pretty quiet hear these days, I am not sure they are updating anymore. I sometimes get the issue when I am using editing software when it is trying to render 4k video, and my GPU runs out of RAM. Maybe post your specs, are they in line with the minimum?
  7. @someone else should do this one better - though I did get the purple eye paint off, I think that was the request-
  8. And now I vote no romance ... I have changed my mind lol.
  9. I don't think you can romance a creature that would eat your brain, though I would be open to a game ending romance for sure, whoops I fell in love with the assassin trying to kill me ... just saying lol. I am not sure I would want BG3 to go from level 1 to 20 in one campaign either. I read that the prequel campaign goes from 1 to 13 in levels. Why force the higher levels just because it is a video game? Plenty of great enemies you can fight at the lower levels, not to mention dragons and demons really feel unique rather than just another beast my overpowered God basically wipes off the map.
  10. There is a good chance you won't like SSS ... some of those fights make Narcissisc (sp) seem pretty cake walk. I think SSS has one of the only fights in the game that I needed to cheese - and I enjoyed figuring out how to beat it. I really enjoy having to figure out tough fights
  11. The trick that never fails is to hit the dragon with the Inquisitor Chains right before she would fly off and power up, doing this with interrupts (Swashbuckler) keeps her unable to really buff. I also hit her with the God Bomb and normally I keep Marux Amanth on hand so once I get her Near Death, which with her hitpoints means she can still take a good amount of damage I use Worthy Sacrifice - works like a charm (fyi - this works pretty consistently too).
  12. As far as I know you set the combination of chants or a single chant ahead of time and the game allows you to switch between the 4 sets of chants/chant, there is a cooldown period if you switch between sets similar to switching grimoires. A chant has a period of time it takes to chant it, and while chanting I believe you get the bonus or cause the effect, and also there is a linger effect where as you start a new chant in the set (can be the same chant over and over again, or you can have different chants in a set as stated above) the linger effect keeps the bonus or effect going until it runs out. I never play a Chanter but that is how I have always understood it, others can chime in
  13. Was that a typo ... whoops, thank god someone noticed it .... That won't go over well .... without a rest mechanic its gonna be well, Bladur's Gate ... Fingers crossed and no expectations might be the best lol.
  14. so ... and things just keep getting worse: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/navy-aware-reports-incident-gulf-oman-n1017066
  15. I wonder if they will implement a short vs long rest rule ... not to take away from the spirit of the thread so maybe Baldur's Gate 3: Original Balder's Gate
  16. Not sure is possible the original image was so small ... your best bet is to crop and try to upscale the image, but because of the size you will get some digital artifacts. :)
  17. This worked pretty well, enjoy! One I tried to bring the eyes out more,
  18. Here you go, one Reckless Brigandine that looks like a Fine Brigandine. I also threw in the Defiant Apparel hat that I changed into a Bandanna. They work for me, not promising they work for all. Should be able to just drop the two folders that are within the attached zip file into the override folder, folders are named: DHatAlter RBAlter If you haven't got one create an override directory in "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data" Edit: Also, if you are playing with any of the God Challenges, it will most likely disable these mods, I never got around to creating the ones that would work with the God challenges. I will eventually, but probably not until I do my next playthrough. Unless they changed how mods work when God challenges are enabled. Reckless_Brigandine-Defiant_Apparrel_Hat.zip
  19. I'm considering it, never one for FPS but it looks pretty darn good, plus am game to support Obsidian
  20. I would say for potions use healing all the time, tend to use the others sparingly. As for scrolls! Well, nothing like having a few high powered spells that cast AEO electricity and stun when fighting in the SSS ... without them and no hardcore caster in the party not sure what I would have done, so scrolls can tip the balance of a tough fight. Drugs for sure are a must in my book in a tough fight, the extra buffs always help! I agree on the priest, I don't think I have ever played a D&D or POE game without a priest ... and I mean every single one. I never recruited Eder in my first playthrough of POE1 lol so that character has no Eder in POE2, too bad really.
  21. What are we talking about? Leaving people alone so they can do whatever they want? That makes about as much sense as denying climate change at this point ... you can do it but your not helping.
  22. Modding can be pretty easy ... you can always copy the abilities from one item onto another really easy, or you can copy the way the helmet looks onto another item As for custom ability mods ... gets a little more tricky as there are rules that need to be followed. I modded the Reckless Brigandine to look like a fine Brigandine, I can post the mod for you with some instructions on where to find the item info if you want to dig for the helmet code. Or can post the code you need to get you started.
