  1. You poor poor people who do not know of the great holiday that celebrates gluttony and genocide.
  2. I was against the Iraq invasion when it started. I was against the Iraq invasion when we "won." I am still against the Iraq invasion. We need to pull our people out and if the Iraqis want to kill each other I say let them. Once they get sick of killing and the dust settles, then we help them to rebuild.
  3. I hope Obsidian doesn't do KotOR 3. Not because I don't think Obsidian couldn't do one justice but after the KotOR 2 fiasco I want nothing to do with KotOR and I think that Obsidian would be better off doing other games with other publishers than deal with the craptastic Lucas Arts.
  4. Yes strong personality but very dour and standoffish, thusly not able to influence others all that well. Also they tend to seclusive instead of outgoing. Now if you use Gold Dwarves as the basis for your dwarf they have a -2 to Dexterity instead of Charisma. Crafting is based on Intelligence.
  5. Its hard to be mobile when you don't have a car.
  6. The second one from the top is disturbing. Very disturbing. So is the last one.
  7. Then you are silly. A silly gamer with a good but silly reason. Silly.
  8. Are you saying that James Bond has been re-bourne? HA!
  9. Except I think Roshan is using a laptop. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who uses a laptop to game on? That is just silly.
  10. You know you done a good Wizard build when you have over 30 hit points (without the shard) and can do 21 points of damage with a simple dagger +1 in a melee attack when you are only 4th level.
  11. Its only a mental defect if they are self destructive addictions. REALLY!
  12. The problem with alcohol is the abuse. If used in moderation it can yield healthy results. The problem is, at least in the American college culture, extremes are often encourage.
  13. I haven't done that for a number of years now and I hardly think that counts. I certainly do not drink to get drunk. I happen to like the taste of Jack Daniels.
  14. I think that most people at these forums have little first hand experience in this regard however I have done a number of readings in my sociology and psychology classes I have taken. However if you are indeed have first hand experience in the matters of drug abuse and addiction, Kirottu, please enlighten me.
  15. Point. So, has there been any patches for the US release or where they able to make a fresh fixed version on the US discs? Has it been released in the US yet?
  16. I don't see how taking drugs being fun. Actually I am beginning to find this quite enlightening. Except for my poor choice of a joke at the beginning of the thread I am finding the discussion interesting. Why is there an urge to get that buzz I wonder. I have never had the urge to get a buzz off any foreign substance, legal or otherwise. There is no miracle cure but figuring out where the problem lies can lead to a cure but it might take months, years, or even decades to achieve. Hardly a quick fix. Yes. I am a sick bastard.
  17. Interesting. I, myself, have never had the urge to do any sort of drugs. Not even for a laugh. No cigarettes, no needles, no alcohol, nothing. I guess caffeine counts, then again maybe not.
  18. Actually that is a moral question that is coming up in my PnP game. You see this priest, a very not evil priest, got a vision from his god, a good deity, that children born with a rune, either on the hand or on their face, will rise in power and destroy the city. The leader of these children will be is unborn child. The PCs, not knowing the prophecy, have saved the lives of two children. Well, not exactly. They stopped one assassination and while the other became a very powerful undead but still has the mind of an innocent child which they rescued. Now if they learn of the prophecy I am wondering if they will side with the priest and kill these runebearers or stand against him knowing that they endanger the lives of thousands of people.
  19. The mental flaw is the need to escape the problem, which drugs, in most cases, is the tool in which one uses to escape. The addiction is the result of using that tool which reinforces the dependency of the tool, either physical or mental. The addiction, though it compounds it greatly, is the end result of the problem and not the problem itself. The problem is what drove the individual to the drug in the first place.
  20. Why don't you guys go back to Gothic 3 now? If you want to discuss this further, lets take it to PM, okay.
  21. I don't see that actually solving the problem, Muso. The root problem is there is something in their lives, or a lack of something, that is driving them to addiction and the drugs in the first place. That needs to be identified and dealt with if there is to be any progress whatsoever.
  22. Okay okay, sorry. It was a stupid joke in case you missed the smiley. Sheesh. Lighten up.
  23. This time it is working. Now back to Gothic 3. Um...
  24. Simple. You laced the drugs with a poison that kills them. The addicts die thusly ending the demand for drugs. Drug war over.
  25. Hey, Roshan, if you ever find yourself in Iowa I have a GeForce 7600 GS PCI-E that I am not using which I can lend you. It might help your performance in the game.
