  1. No. Why not? Think all the heroic deeds these gnomes could do!
  2. because with electoral college only certain states get attention paid to them You won't find this going away without the Electoral College. There's already a huge amount of attention paid to states like Florida and California, two states which get "the shaft" when it comes to the amount of people represented by their electoral college votes. Getting rid of the Electoral College will shift the already lopsided focus moreso in favour of the more populous areas. As it should.
  3. Thats debatable. Many reptiles such as crocs and alligators, the Komodo dragon, some sharks and fish and most insects are considered dinosaurs. Again, the fittest survived... Creationists would disagree with that assessment.
  4. The most fittest.
  5. Bloodlines would also be counted as fantasy. When I se Fantasy I think of supernatural and fantastic elements. Vampires would fall in that catagory.
  6. I agree, and I never said otherwise.
  7. Ah. As I recall you and I disagree on the importance of the human race. I consider the survival of the species to be the only ineluctably worthwhile thing a human can pursue. I'm also rather fond of human beings. Whereas my recent impression is that you are not! I am also quite fond of the human race. Mostly. I just don't think that such an asteroid hit will mean the end of our species. End of our civilization, more than likely. End of our species, not so much. Human beings are a highly adaptable and intelligent race. I do not have any doubt that in such a cataclysm the human race will survive.
  8. I count KotOR as a fantasy game. The Force is just another name for magic no matter how you try to explain it otherwise. I prefer other genres. A good cyberpunk CRPG would be nice.
  9. The Earth survived did it not.
  10. It got deleted, mkreku. Thanks.
  11. I have no interest in "attacking" your philosophy, Cant. Discussing would be nice, but not attack. It is how I view it Alan, but hey, if you want to go back to 16th century medicine where they use leeches be my guess. After all, if you eliminate all medicines that went through human trials prior being released to the public that is where you would be at.
  12. Be nice to know what game it is, Saddie.
  13. Its not like the Earth hasn't been hit by an asteroid before.
  14. Well, 2 gigs have definitely jumped up the performance with NWN2. I'll say that much. :D
  15. If you are going to take it tot he extreme then there is no point in discussing it. One thing I hate most is extremist views and using extremism as a means to argue. You don't like my stance, that is fine, but you are pushing it to an extremist viewpoint of what I said which is just ridiculous and if that is how you view it then there is no reason to continue at all.
  16. OH MY GAWDS! I inserted the new RAM and the performance of my machine jumped big time! It is now giving me the option of a 1900 x 1080 resolution. I didn't have that before. It looks kind of scrunched up on my monitor so I am guessing that is a widescreen resolution, but wow. I need a widescreen monitor now!
  17. If there was no other means, then they wouldn't need to drag me away. I would volunteer. Besides, I value each one pretty damn highly and the difference between them is only slightly. And that is all I will say about it for now.
  18. So how exactly was this "letting AIDS happen?" AIDS still happens today as people have unprotected sex with each other, even after 15+ years of knowing about the disease. Hey, that is his logic by the sound of it. Not mine.
  19. I don't see how that would be needed, for at least here in Iowa, we have progess to the point we can clone all the stem cells we need to conduct the research necessary and no laws to hamper such lines of research.
  20. Equal rights are meaningless if you are dead or a mental vegetable.
  21. Don't know, but it might hit the US a whole lot less than it did.
  22. Don't know. Last I heard it is suppose to sometime mid to late this month. Usually they release a Beta first to test it out then the final.
  23. By ignoring the problem the problem escalated, but if the AIDS crisis was fully on the RADAR and confronted with educating the public early as well as research and funding to find a cure, he believes that the AIDS pandemic could have been a lot less of a hit on the human race.
  24. Abortion is about personal choice, freedom of the mother to have the child or not. Now my view is that it should be the last possible choice and available only at the first trimester in the development of the fetus but should still be an allowable choice for the woman. Its her reproductive system. Also, you are free to vote for whoever you want. I never said you shouldn't have that freedom, just as I have the freedom to vote against your candidate if I don't agree with his or her views. One hot button issue where it comes to progress in medical science is the Stem Cell issue. I am all for full stem cell research. From cloning of human tissue for organ transplant, to curing cancers, and eliminating brain degenerative diseases. I will not vote for a candidate who is against stem cell research or wish to limit it.
