  1. Been there, done that with the Ultima series and in PnP. You seem to forget that I have been doing CRPGs back in the days of Vic 20. I have seen all sorts of shapes and sizes of CRPGs. Wizard's Crown, Eternal Dagger, the Phantasie and Ultima series, and the like. Bioware is not doing anything new. hell, as for armor giving damage reduction, I have used that in my PnP campaigns and DnD has rules for that as a variant.
  2. I probably will be getting the game because I am a CRPG nut but I will be in no rush to get it. Right now NWN2 fulfills all my needs for a fantasy CRPG. Now if Bioware was to release a sci fi CRPG for the PC then I probably be pre-ordering it right now.
  3. Natalie Portman is playing the kid of Indiana Jones and woman from the first movie. Can't remember her name for some odd reason.
  4. Sweden, but that is beside the point.
  5. Oh, I read it all, and it all sounds like typical Bioware hype. Elves, Dwarves, magic, dragons, blah blah blah. Classes, second tier classes, swords, and armor, blah blah blah. Oh, origin stories. that hasn't been done before. Oh, yes it has. Stuff we all seen before and probably all out of proportion due to the hype. Nothing of substance there. None at all.
  6. I shall remain skeptical. Still looks and sounds like generic fantasy to me.
  7. That is why I am for partial socialism on vital industries such as utilities, medical care, and the like and not total socialism. I agree that total socialism is unfeasible but total capitalism just makes the rich richer and the poor goes without. Just because someone can't afford medical or dental insurance their kid has to go without? Sorry, that is a load of bullcrap. A little socialism and a little capitalism mixed in the right way would benefit the greatest amount of people, where the extremes of either will not.
  8. If I created this I would not have made him nude. I would have the loin clothe made out of taffy or licorious.
  9. Anyway, back on topic shall wel. I wonder what they did with the chocolate jesus afterwards. Did they eat it?
  10. At least they aren't doing a Predator Versus Alien Versus Terminator mix.
  11. I am drinking creme soda and having a BLT with Swiss cheese. I am feeling... content.
  12. I know. What I am seeing is when ME2 comes for the XBox360 we will see ME for the PC. When ME3 for the XBox 360 hit the shelves we will have ME2 for the PC, then with ME3 a year or two after. Of course, this is me being optimistic.
  13. Well, what I really like to see is the cut material brought in and the campaign retooled that at the end you are not level 20 or close to it. More around level 13 to 15, then have material that deals wit the aftermath which brings you to level 20 in full, with a second expansion dealing with epic levels.
  14. I woant to see a full sized city. From the lowliest depths of the sewers and catacombs to every street corner there is. A full sized living city would be awesome!
  15. What I like to see is not a post apocalypse type game but an apocalypse type game. Your character is living through the apocalypse and has to learn how to survive the ordeal. A good type of apocalypse for this sort would be one depicted in The Stand or Day After Tomorrow.
  16. If one professes to belong to a religion of peace, one should act on what is offensive with peace and not with violence otherwise one betrays the tennets they hold dear which is a far greater offense than anything else in this world.
  17. It is a XBox 360 exclusive until Bioware decides it is overall popular enough to bring it to the PC, much like Jade Empire. ME will more than likely come to the PC but probably a year or three after the XBox 360 version. Personally, I can wait. I am not going to get a XBox 360 till it is actually worth the money to get and no console is worth more than $100 USD.
  18. That is not the fault of socialism. The fault lies in human weakness, greed, and our overall malignant nature.
  19. Hate to say it, but I loved all the Die Hard movies. You just killed a helicopter with a car! HA!
  20. I do think that it is no different than the Muhammad drawings, and the Christians who objected to this acted with great restraint compared to their Islamic counterparts.
  21. Personally I like to see a hybrid. Aspects of our social system, such as Utilities, Medicine, and vitals that people need to live are socialized while non-essentials like like restaurants, movies, department stores and the like remain capitalistic.
  22. Capitalism also increases waste and pollution. In fact if you chart the growth of capitalism and the industrial revolution, and compare it to the level of pollution and waste produced you will see it go up hand and hand. Of course you counter my proposal for balance with capitalism and socialism with extreme socialism. I am not advocating that at all. Balance, Roshan. Balance. Think on this... As wages go up so does the cost of living and thusly the poverty line increases. So the wages increases again, the cost of living then also increases, and the poverty line gets even higher. All the while the environment is getting worse and worse as waste and pollution is accumulated, till the point which the entire area becomes unfit for human living, but since the cost of living is so high by this point no one has the funds and resources to move. That is the extreme capitalism that you are advocating, Roshan. I rather be poor, free, and living in a clean evironment than making just enough over the poverty line to live, while wallowing in filth under a yellow sky.
  23. I would very much prefer that.
  24. Yet, human rights are being squashed on a daily basis. Which is more important, Roshan. Freedom or profit? I choose freedom.
