  1. If using Canada or the socialist models in some European countries I say that their socialist models work better than our capitalistic model.
  2. These idiots in Iran won't even let woman ride bicycles. Bicycles for Christ sake.
  3. Well, they way I see what Guard Dog wants is an "unfettered" capitialistic model, which means only those with the money to pay will get the healthcare. Those who live at and below the poverty line will get nothing because they wouldn't be able to afford the healthcare nor the insurance coverage. Sorry, Guard Dog, but your model will only work for the upper middle class and richer leaving every one else without midical care. I don't see how it can be any other way.
  4. Then maybe its time to toss out the old Constitution and replace it something "more perfect."
  5. That's what he gets for using drugs.
  6. Not in births, but in immigration. Legal or otherwise.
  7. With the rate of the human population is growing, that is not a problem.
  8. Exactly, Gorgon. Why can't trust companies and hospitals when they care only about the bottom line. How much money can they make off of people. If they can make more money selling snake oil than help people then they will. Companies would then band together to remove choice from the consumer as well.
  9. That is the ideal but the ideal never truly happens.
  10. Sorry, but I disagree. Drug companies and hospitals care only about money. Without regulation or controls they will charge even more money than they do now. Also they would make more money treating a disease than actually curing it. You put too much faith in capitalism whose whole purpose is to satiate greed.
  11. In capitalistic control of medicine only those with money will get medical care. That is the truth of it.
  12. The funny thing is, you don't even realize that the two things you want are so contraditory that cannot coexist. Right. Whatever. The point being what we have now does not work. The capitalism model simply does not work.
  13. Well, I think it is time to throw out the old constitution and start over from scratch. Make a more lean government but fulfill the need that the government should take care of its people and their well being.
  14. In any case, as it was pointed out, Guard Dog said unfettered capitalism that means repealing the Sherman Act which would make matters even worse than they are now. What we need is a complete and total restructuring, not only of medical care but of our government as well. Medical care needs to be a secured right to every citizen in this country and not just for those who have money and insurance.
  15. The only thing that doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies, along with all those drug companies want is money. Money and only money. If you don't have the money then you can rot and die. They don't give a crap. Kind of like that story on CNN a while back where a hispanic woman bled to death in an LA emergency room lobby and the doctors and nurses just watched her die. The 911 dispatch wouldn't even send an ambulance from another hospital to help her. They just let her die because she had no money to pay for treatment. This is the sort of medical system we have in the U.S..
  16. Wha...? I can't refer myself in the 2nd Person? So, Sonic the Hedgehog is becoming a CRPG for the NDS... Interesting.
  17. 'They' know about the problem. The lack of action is not intended to annoy you personally. It's meant to annoy ME personally. I can do that. They don't need to annoy everyone just to annoy you.
  18. Not anymore. Nowadays it is only something that makes it possible to connect to force. GL is (like always) changing his stance witj subject, but that's the current one anyway When I heard the reasoning behind the Force I just had to roll my eyes. GL was going all Parasite Eve.
  19. Oh yes, and monopolies don't ever ever ever ever ever happen.
  20. I didn't say people. I said me. It is good the industry is growing. I am not complaining about that. In any case this has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Lets get back on topic.
  21. The problem with unfettered capitalism the only people who will get the medical they need will be the ones with the money. Those who don't are treated like sh*t and left to die.
  22. *gives a deeply skeptical and slightly condescending look at Sando* What? That includes me as well.
  23. That is a nice looking bike, J.E.. You should have shown up in Ames while you were in Iowa. If I was to get a motorcycle I would probably something like that one.
  24. I wouldn't mind going through this. It does sound like fun.
