  1. What I found interesting that Bush thought 30 months was "excessive" while the death penalty is not. 30 months for perjury is a right punishment for what Libby is guilty of.
  2. Well, duh. I mostly run story based PnP with very few fights, but when there is a fight it is as deadly as realistically possible given the rules system used. Such as if I am going to have a hostile Duergar in the encounter he is going to use his full capabilities to kill his adversay, or to run away if the fight turns against him. Duergar have a number of special abilities and they would have used them in that fight. If Obsidian didn't want the duergar to use their abiliities then they should not have used duergar. Goblins or kobolds would have been a better choice as fodder for the githyanki and the bladelings, but Obsidian choose Duergar therefore the Duergar should have used their full strength and potential otherwise that is just piss poor design. Of course some battles can be planned to be the most difficult fight for the PCs lives until a PC makes up a brilliant plan and gets a lucky critical in the first round. Let the die land where it may, you know.
  3. We invaded Iraq based on lies from the Bush Administration. Lies that have gotten tens of thousands killed. If that isn't an impeachable offense then nothing is.
  4. Let them be disgusted by it. No one is forcing them to play the game.
  5. That is why they shouldn't make it Fallout 3, but an original Post Apocalyptic title. The only people who would know about Fallout would be the old hardcore gamers which is obviously not the target audience of this game.
  6. Nope. That is where they decided that Peter would have worn Prada instead of Tommy Hillfinger.
  7. Especially in that final fight in the first movie when the baddie does a Quayle impression. Feel my amazing brain!
  8. Yep. And Diana is the Roman name for the greek goddess Artemis.
  9. I think the first battles need to be as challenging as the last battles. Give it some consistency.
  10. Yep. The original motivation was to build up followers and eliminate the Pagan beliefs. Now, its all about the money and material wealth, consumerism.
  11. Hard? Hard?!?!?! Using the improved AI which allows this the difficulty level was just right. It actually forces the player to think strategically so that he or she is forced to utilize the starting party's full capabilities intelligently instead of barreling through nonchalantly.
  12. I have to concur with my Kanadian friend here. If people want to make games, movies, novels, comic books or whatever that has severe brutality then let them. If people want to buy such products then let them. It is make believe. If parents don't want their children to be exposed to this sort of thing then they need to act like parents and take control of their children.
  13. Why not? Three enlarged dark dwarves rushing your rather weak looking halfling wizard... and getting their butts stomped is always fun.
  14. No its not.
  15. I would hope so.
  16. Well, here's hoping they squash those bugs and did you say increased difficulty? I hope that means a smarter AI that can be applied to the whole game. I want those duergar in the beginning to use their full abilities! :D
  17. YAY! There's nothing wrong with me!
  18. It would still be a Kellog brand, but ****ty instead of flakey. Point.
  19. I disagree. The motivation behind these holidays was not to celebrate the birth or crucification of Jesus, but to get more followers. The motivation behind a celebration gives the meaning for such events.
  20. I'd like to point out that you really don't have any say in the matter of the game being Fallout or not. It's Fallout because the owners of the brand say it is. Whatever. So if Kellog but **** in a box and call it cornflakes, will it still be **** or cornflakes?
  21. Nah. If they made the game even remotely to the style of the originals but using updated graphic techniques then I would still consider it Fallout but as it stands now, I don't. A fully 3D dynamic environment is what I want out of a modern Fallout game, but not a FPS which Fallout 3 looks to be.
  22. WOW! GO GO KEITH!
  23. I don't see why it is important. The original purpose of placing it on 25th of December wasn't to celebrate the birth of Jesus but to have a Christian holiday by the winter solstice so they have an easier time to convert the pagans who venerate the day. The same reason why the early Christian organization started to venerate Mary, to take over the worship of the pagan goddess Diana. It is why Easter is always after, a week after the first full moon after the spring equinox. Christian holidays are just usurped Pagan holidays and therefore meaningless.
  24. Having fond memories of games like Archon I&II, Adventure Construction Set, Mail Order Monsters, Bards Tale I-III, Heart of Africa, Hard Hat Mack, M.U.L.E., Marble Madness, Neuromancer, Racing Destruction Set, Skyfox, Realm of Impossibility (one of my all time favourite games) and Battlechess. They also published a game called Wasteland, which I unfortunately never found in a store What have they done lately?
