  1. Nah, it's be Vampire: The Requiem: Some Other Subtitle.
  2. Icewind Dale III.
  3. No, really, It'd be a nice change from the medieval fantasy that dominate RPGs. Hell, are there any singleplayer superhero RPGs that aren't focused purely on combat?
  4. A superfan is the type of fan who hides out in the bushes outside Sawyer's place. Oh, and I'd LOVE an Obsidian superhero RPG.
  5. Most annoying fight ever.
  6. korqeldroma beat both my characters, but now the site won't load.
  7. ^What other games cause motion sickness for you? I sometimes get it from old 3D FPS. Especially bad on old 2.5D stuff like DN3D and Doom.
  8. In the arena, do a search on the user you want to challenge. Also, this is what it looks like when I beat you. It wasn't looking good in the fight against melpomenne, but then I pulled out the whip. I lost to Gfted1 in the battle to see who has the better weapon, but only because I never got to the whip. That's the problem with leveling up and getting more weapons. Ha, I broke both of Aristes weapons in this fight. Beaten by Tevo, how humiliating.
  9. I wouldn't say that. I've been messing about with modding since Duke Nukem 3D, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've released anything to the public. Hell, most of the stuff I do I never bother to finish, I just do it because I enjoy it. I remember recreating locations from an old adventure game called Noctropolis* using my own textures and sprites, but even with all the hours I spent I never finished anything, it was just about having fun doing it. The joy of creation. The enjoyment I get isn't based on whether the modding scene is huge or a secret, nor am I ever making a statement when I mod, I'm just amusing myself. I guess I can understand the desire to be part of some small exclusive group that few know about, but if modding was restricted to a small community who kept to themselves there is a hell of a lot of content I'd have missed out on. One of my all time favourite games is Thief, and without the editor from the developer I wouldn't have spent hundreds of hours on fan missions. * I wonder if Deadly Nightshade ever played that, I think it would be right up his alley.
  10. How awesome a modder feels about themselves is meaningless to gamers compared to whether or not they make something people are interested in.

He may not personally kill kids, but he will stand by and let them die rather than put himself in danger. Doesn't strike me as "good guy" material.
  12. Really, coz it luuurves you.
  13. It all makes sense, I was just disappointed. That's why I compared it to Donnie Darko. You watch the film and you have your own interpretation and all's right with the world, it was a great experience. Then you watch the directors cut which apparently attempts to give an official explanation but the creators interpretation is kind of a let down and you're left with a sour taste. "Really, that's what it's supposed to be about? Whatever dude." That thread you linked to had a message from the creator stating he doesn't comment on what the game is "about", because it's not his role, but there really isn't much room for interpretation when the epilogue pretty much spells it out for you. Imagine reading and enjoying a novel, and then in the last few pages the writer talks directly to the reader and explains how the events of the story were actually a metaphor for blah blah blah.... Which is why I recommend not bothering with the epilogue. Of course loads of people play the epilogue, declare the creator a genius and then go back and analysis every bit of the game to see how it fits in with the "official" interpretation, so maybe that's more your thing. Alternatively ignore the story stuff and play it just for the puzzles.
  14. And this is why I didn't like the epilogue. As mentioned on that page, you have a story about
  15. The guns are real but their names are not. Their appearances may be based on real life guns, but they aren't necessarily meant to represent those same guns.
  16. Plus the guns in the game are all fictional anyway.
  17. PinkHairedGirl is my original character.
  18. Mamoulian claims it's hammer time, KittyBangBang disagrees.
  19. That's not quite right. "Blow put over US$180,000 of his own money into its development."
  20. The epilogue is like the directors cut of Donnie Darko.
  21. The final level is awesome. Don't play the epilogue.
  22. KittyBangBang crushed marcellion and Alanschu but the winning streak was brought to an end by Taksm. PinkHairedGirl easily beat kqd1, Taranto and Gorthus Maximus. I guess that's what happens you pick on kids.

It's disrespectful to eat our future masters.
  24. Andrew Schlafly isn't to blame for your inability to handle the truth.
