  1. I HONESTLY cannot imagine why the hell you seem to have so much trouble. I encountered some small bugs, but nothing that's stopping me from enjoying the game. It never crashed for me. As for spelling: I noticed 2 words spelled wrong... and yes, I've finished the game.
  2. So what's your best time on minesweeper?
  3. ooOOOHHHHHH... hey, is there a teleport-back-to-ebon-hawk button?
  4. Do I have to activate them every time I want to use them or are they passive? Can someone give me an explaination? Thanks.

  6. I just used B4D4 to steal some files from Czerka. After I regain control of my own character, kreia and atton are gone. I am alone. Is this suppose to happen or a bug?
  7. ... that gave a blubbering moron like Carth a position of power?
  8. In these recent months? KOTOR II. And no, I wasn't. Great game, Obistan!
  9. Chairman Feargus has decreed that you all should be docked 6 months worth of grain for questioning his presense. Go back to your petty fields, peasent maggots, his eminence has no time to rabble with the likes of you.

  11. I'm glad you like the star wars novels. Their authors would still be working at macdonalds with their high school diploma if not for faithful readers like you.
  12. But seriously: what is FF8 doing on the same list as FO/FOII?
  13. The general consensus among the fps crowd is that battlefront was a major failure. Bad AI, terrible netcode, inresponsive ingame browser, little or no class difference, little variety in tactics, and exploits.
  14. A wider screen means Bigger working space for me Like the new iMacs?
  15. Ha! KOTOR II NPC's were far more interwined with my PC because their personalities were fleshed out and developed SUBTLELY AND REALISTICALLY through dialog and situational response. KOTOR I just had side quests for all the characters that kept bashing the ol' stereotypes in your face. Okay Bastila, we know you had conflicts with your mother when you were a kid. Great Carth, thanks for whining to me for the millionth time about your son and your home planet. Really Zaalbar? You're a strong and honest companion who stands up to righteousness even when your entire races looks down upon you? WOW! GOOD FOR YOU!!! In KOTOR II, the personalities of my companions weren't so often hammered at me. Instead, they were subtly interwined through narration and dialogue, which is the mastery of the craft of story-telling. The characters didn't become a personal part of my PC, they became a part of ME. THAT's when you KNOW a game's hit you pretty hard. In the first KOTOR, there was no mistake; Bastila loved the character I was ROLE PLAYING. She was the mentor and mentee of MY GAME-CHARACTER. All her quests, all her dialogue, all her writing, they were so contrived and artificial and lacked that certain subtlety that separates Salvatore from Leguin, Jordan from Tolkien, that certain subtlely that impacts you on a personal level. Didn't it feel to you that Kreia was speaking to you, the person sitting in front of that x-box as well as your PC? It sure felt like that to me. It felt the same way when TNO spoke with Ravel, when Irenicus spoke with the baalspawn... A fantasy doesn't have to include uber amounts of sidequests or super-epic and formulaic twists. It needs to create a link between your life as a person and the myriad of story-telling elements that symbolize something you cherish in that life, be it morals, love, money, or joy. KOTOR II did that for me, something no story has done since I read Songmaster by Orson Scott Card. That, folks, is an achievement. Sorry for the long rant. It's just my opinion on the matter. And huh... the ending was perfect.
  16. First, let's not even talk about staff users. We know it takes no skill to use a staff. Second, dual just boils down to hitting the right comboes at the right time. Third, single staff = heavy spam. Strafe jump around and click attack in red stance... WOW!!!! Button mashing. There's no skill in JKA dueling. Sorry to disappoint you.
  17. SO!! How does KOTOR II compare with Planescape: Torment and Fallout I/II?
  18. No. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. oh yes.
  19. JKA was marketed as a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER WITH FORCE. I play it like that, I enjoy it very much. Lightsaber = melee weapon. How many times in Quake or UTx do you actually use the hammer/gauntlet/shieldgun? JKA is by far the fastest FPS I have ever played, except maybe painkiller. The force powers give that extra tactical boost over vanilla FPS' like Call of duty, Quake, UT2k4, etc. You can strafe jump in JKA like quake, which adds another strategic element to the game. The nice balance between guns/force/saber in JKA is what the game is about. ALL of the guns (yes, even the disruptor) requires leading; the projectiles travel very slow compared to other fps', and when you mount this up with the fact that people in JKA move 5 times as fast as in any other game (force speed, rage etc), nailing a shot really requires good coordination and teamwork. (Pull, fire, roll, wallwalk-flip, fire, etc.) Plus, the easier-to-aim weapons with the fastest projectile speed(blaster, xbow, repeater/fletchette prim fire, disruptor beam) can all be blocked by the saber. The weapon that does the most damage (rocket launcher) is also the weapon that requires the largest amount of leading and can easily be blocked with push. Saber dueling in JKA may suck, but mix it up with guns and force and you have a very, very, very tactical shooter.
  20. Jedi Academy All guns All force CTF. Ladder season just started, so this is pretty much the only game I'm playing right now.
  21. "I looked to Bastila and said to her in a sexy tone 'Oh my god you are hot. Will you do me right now?' She turned to me and said, 'Ok baby lets do it'. And our bodies twisted and moaned under the hot, voyeuristic gaze of the sun." Told ya!
  22. I have a question: In the coming PC port: Is widescreen supported?
  23. Ha! Planescape: Torment: It's the only RPG You will ever need.
  24. If 100/1100 people you ask think the book is a fantastic piece of crap, chances are good that it actually is a fantastic piece of crap.
  25. I'm sorry, the Thrawn Trilogy does didn't do it for me. Timonthy Zahn has a nasty habit of forging potentially interesting characters and killing them off fast. The actual protagonists are trite and to a certain extent, very uninspired.
