  1. It was all over the place to be honest. At first I would sayit was about tribe rivalry, then animal taming and lastly slavery. I think Alpha will be a decent movie at least because it seems focused on one point.
  2. With 10,000 BC it was a sabertooth tiger/lion I believe When Far Cry Primal was revealed I was like... oh boy, the boys at Ubi most be fans of the movie :D
  3. I think character based single player games are awfully awkward when tacking on co-op features. For example, Halo... when characters acknowledge only one Master Chief and such, making the other player feel like a third wheel rather than a partner. I find that when devs tack on the multiplayer like that, it isn't exactly fair. Maybe people are okay with this but they shouldn't be. Then again, I'm quite used to people settling for dumbed down game development and quality control in content and interaction for the sake of "more" features. In the end, you will always have yourself to play with if you're feeling sad and lonely. However, there is no guarantee that you will "always" have people to play with or that your Internet won't for some reason crap out some day.
  4. Insomniac games is awesome, as soon as they showed that new story trailer for Spider-Man trailer I pre-purchased it on Amazon lol It really does look incredible.
  5. Alpha doesn't look bad at all, imo but I think it will be only for a niche audience and of course it won't sell crazy like Thor or something but then again, I think we all know that the production team knows that. Animal lovers will definitey go see it as well as cave-people/tribal fans. I really don't fo see movies in theater alot so I'll probably see it on my phone.
  6. I think that could be said for most trilogies out there lol
  7. I love the parkour/movement in that game! It's such a shame that the game is so overlooked. Probably the most unique game on Xbox One.
  8. Out of all the digital market-place companies out there, looks like Sony is the only one who could outfox Valve... I'm impressed.
  9. MCU has made Thor a comedy relief, which is strange because he never really was in the comics or any of the cartoons... well unless we're talking about Throg (Frog version of Thor). MCU has pretty much given Thor the "All brawns, no brain" element which makes him not unlike Hercules or Conan The Barbarian. I guess it makes sense that they would do that on the screen though, it seems to tranlate well. I can't wait for Black Panther. I only hope they introdce some more hero movies (with different heroes). But yes, Marvel movies squash the DC movies... the same can't be said for the tv shows. Marvel tv shows aren't doing so well while DC tv series such as Smallville, Arrow, etc remain top rated. Strange but that's just the way things work I guess.
  10. "NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION" Yes, I suppose I noticed a bit of that going on as well. Anyhow, this is pretty exciting!
  11. Never did finish Torchlight 2, canceled my pre-purchase of Hob because the team was either always missing or not on the same page when I did talk to them. Now I know why. Rip. I'm sure there will be some angry fans because they won't get Torchlight 3. When you compare Hob's staff with Torchlight's staff, the names are very different. So it's not nearly thr same team as when Runic first opened its doors. I can only hope that grace gives an opportunity to brings the original Torchlight members back together to form a new studio and make a new diablo-clone. Which can very well happen.
  12. I don't know why I cried, I guess I'm a sucker for dog movies even though I never see them since I dread thinking that the dog might die.I don't blame you. I will never again watch Marley and Me
  13. Marvel's The Runaways? Did it already release in other countries? IIRC the US premiere on Hulu isn't until the 21st. The trailers seem true to the comic; what didn't you like about it? It's out over here in north America, the first 3 episodes at least. What I like: The characters, the premise, a murder in the school, the fashion sense. I don't like the format of the show so far, but that's not the say that it won't change. It just seemed to me like a teenage love affair type show combined with a witness interview, I just don't find it interesting as of right now... but I think out of all the Marvel shows, Runaways has the best soundtrack. I'll keep watching as I am not too familiar with the comics but like to learn about the Runaways universe. It will probably grow on me. Still, I'm glad that it's being aired because it really is unique and set apart from other shows and I know that mystery theme will appeal to audiences. So kudos to Marvel for that
  14. This movie looks to be what 10,000 BC should have been.
  15. Reboot: Afterlife https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071WF4414/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1509925939&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=reboot+book&dpPl=1&dpID=514kRyBtT-L&ref=plSrch
  16. Black Panther has me pretty excited. I admit, some Marvel movies are horrible but we'd be lying if we said the newer ones weren't at quality measure. Thor Ragnarok is one of the top rated movies of the year and deservingly so. Cate Blanchette is remarkable and she alone will make the movie win an award, mark my words. The top movies of the year are Beauty and The Beast and Thor Ragnarok for obvious reasons. Beautiful movies. Not my favorites of the year though.
  17. "I hate Christmas music when it's not even December" If you hate Lindsey's Christmas music anytime of the year, you may want to get checked for that.
  18. I have started Inhumans and The Gifted. I really like them both. Hated Orville and The Runaways.
  19. Guacamelee 2 and Spelunky 2 are coming... I love this!
  20. Ys VIII got delayed to "spring 2018" lol They needed to redo all of the translation and optimizations apparently.
  21. Steam's next sale is in November. Steam always has the best sales
  22. I've played alot of mp games but never played one that can match the experince I've gained from a single player game. Everyone has different tastes. Some of my Facebook friends who don't who outside get all their socialization from mp games. I guess it makes sense when you look at it.
  23. I would say Lego games, Sonic games, Spark The Electric Jester, Rayman... you know... games that kids play that don't have adult themes they can't understand XD LoL doesn't have such themes and complex nature so... it's understandable that he could play and understand it. For the 88yo madame, I'd recommend 88 Heroes... lol Just joking of course, I'd actually go with something very interesting enough to hold her attention but simple enough for her to not make much effort. Walking simulators like Myst come to mind.
  24. The potential of VR is great, but it still needs A LOT of time to get to the place where the fanboys are claiming. There are really 3 types of games on VR: 1.) Short, high-end tech demos. These "games" are being sold on places like Steam and only last from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. They should be free. These are the biggest type of VR games on the market unfortunately. 2.) Block-ish looking games that have legnth. They focus on the movement or the controls but lack in the graphics department, which is ironic and self-contradictive od that VR is supposed to push in itself. Immersing us in 3D blocks? I'm not a graphics whore but when the majority of 8 hour non-VR games look better than an 8 hour VR game something seems wrong. 3.) The VR community isn't to smart or welcoming. Alot of them go around to different non-VR forums, saying they believe that 2D pixelated games should become extinct and that VR should replace everything, calling people names for prefering non-VR or playing pixel-art games. As well as begging devs to add VR compatability all while shouting "We'll only buy your game if you have VR" lol 4.) The VR audience is VERY small. 350,000 users on Steam (the only VR marketplace that really matters) and around 60,000 VR users on PS4. Both are virtually nothing and that's the very reason why many big time devs aren't willing to shell out a budget to make a game actually worth playing. Look at Doom VFR, it uses teleportation, strips VR users from so many features that it's literally not Doom anymore but a roller coaster simulator. This is a huge problem for VR gaming. It has alot of potential but the hardware needs work, the community is toxic and the best games are demos that do not last over half hour on average. Everything needs work. Of course there are regular $59.99 games that support VR but only a couple really do a good job as interjecting that into the game and not making it feel tacked on. Remembering that these games were not built with VR in mind is something that we should all be mundful of. We just don't need VR yet, I suspect VR won't really be useful til a few years and not what the fanboys claim until another 10 years.
