Not really. There has been a worrying rumours about CDPR vs it’s employees for a while now. And I don’t think one can look at massive game like Witcher3 and wonder how much work troopers had to put into it. CDPR has been always treating their customers well - unlike Activision or EA. It doesn’t mean that they treat their employees the same way. I think that 1) they might feel a bit more pressure after the success that was Witcher3 2) journalists and public might have a bigger interest in CDPR actions now that they are big. I don’t think many would care about same topics before W3 was released. EDIT. Which reminds me back in Witcher1 days there was a story of devs sleeping in the office and working overtime for a prolonged amount of time to finish the game. At that time it was passionate devs completing their dream project. Now public is less favourable toward that kind of behaviour (be it self inflicted or via external pressure) and CDPR isn’t an inexperienced, first time game maker, but a commercially and critically successful AAA dev.

Trying to pass every speech/skill check in DE is like trying to succeed in every attack roll in other RPG. -

Did you try Disco Elysium? I thought the first half of it was excellent. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the 2nd half. Shame, it felt like it actually be Planescape 2.0. -

Nope. Just misunderstood your post and have written at length about strength and weaknesses of PoE1&2 writing/storytelling. -

Nevermind. -
I would say Obsidian Alien RPG, but considering how troubled development was, would it be any good? oh, and Black Hound. and honestly, the original version of what became The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. While offensive when announced, after getting a proper XCOM by FIraxis I wouldn’t be opposed to a standalone FPS Bioshock-style reimagining. What we got though felt like a rushed, mostly uninspired tie-in to a turn based smash hit. EDIT: Mandate! Promising Kickstarter project that never came to be.

I believe only some scenes are implimented, and some are placeholder. At least according to Larian forums they seem to vary greatly in quality.

Predictably, Yakuza like a dragon is amazing?

Yeah, I watched a bit of Cohh stream and I think I am good with patiently waiting for 1.0. It looks great, but it’s rough. I feel no need to spoil anything further. And unlike PoE I am not that invested in this IP to be a beta tester.

I must say with every update I dig it more and more. But I also regularly loose interest. I am yet to complete a playthrough. There is always an update right behind a corner for which I decide to wait for, and then I start another campaign, wait a bit, and then they announce new update... and so the cycle continues.

Spelunk2 Loving it so far. Even the moles.

And if someone has a 3D printer and doesn't have a flight stick then there is a solution for that. For some reason GOG will allow you to buy games from Epic Store, though GOG client. I won't lie, if on top of managing libraries, GOG would allow to shop through it as well it would be great. I wonder if they managed to negotiate some kind of cu (EDIT. They did, should have read the article first) t, or if it is just an attempt to bring as many folks to GOG as possible.

Durance is fascinating though! Better a disturbing but interesting companion, then daft, bland, generic bloke. JOIN THE CHURCH OF DURANCE!

It's actually not that bad. I just really have a bone to pick with Kingmaker. It's like Dragon Age: Origins, where other peoples love for it completely eludes me, although for different reasons. Writing or storytelling is just not something Kingmaker is concerned about. It makes Icewind Dale games look like narrative driven masterpieces. Companions in Kingmaker aren't great, but tedious design overshadows every other good&bad thing about it. My last Kingmaker session was 3 hours long and all I did was waiting for things to happen, "managing" the kingdom. I "love" how stretch out the quests are (1) kingdom management card - companion currently in your party wants to talk to you in the throne room 2) multiple rests and load screens later: throne room conversation -> could we talk in the tavern? 3) tavern two loadscreens later -> could we go back to where we were when you got initial message as I have business to attend? 4) short event in said location and 5) could we talk in the throne room about what happened? I have over 150h in Kingmaker now. I feel it would be closer to 30-40 if all the dead space was removed. It's not like it's systemic or anything.

Everyone in Kingmaker.

Outer Wilds. As cool as bit open universe do what you want games can be conceptually, I never felt like I actually explored something. On the other hand I am absolutely in love with Outer Wilds.

I see. I wouldn’t know. Just repeating what I read among gog reviews.

It's seems to be done by GOG. According to reviewers the games are just set up in an emulator, rather then natively made work for PC. Which is unfortunate, but that's better then nothing.

Yo! Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid and MGS2 are available on GOG. According to some reviews "port" isn't superb, but as someone who never had chance to play those games I am genuily interested.
