Yup, it's own LCD screen. You have this useless animated thing, but you can also set it up to show GPU info (tremperature, load, power draw, frequency etc) which I currently have it on. You can also upload your own picture of gif. VANITY! Yeah, I will be turning it all of, especially as the case will be on my left side. Otherwise, I might have kept the GPU info on.
-
Well, apparently you can use two cables (connect each 8 GPU pin to it's own PCIe power slot in the PSU) to provide it with enough power, especially with overclocking. That's what I did today following @Humanoid's advice. (it's super ugly with those space headers dangling, but I will take care of it tomorrow once I plug in remaining drives and tidy up come cables. A nice custom 16 pin cable does look very enticing right now. That said: Behold! It works. The graphic card though... really?

Hey folks, I am in the process in assembling my very first PC. My graphic card has total 16 pins (8 + 8). Is really this single monstrosity all I need to connect it? It feels kinda odd to plug all four heads, while while a single 8header goes into the PSU.

Hopefully they won’t drag H Ford to half ass VO.

Bethesda announced an Indiana Jones game, made by Wolfenstein folks: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2021/01/12/bethesda-announce-indiana-jones-game/ Will all the glorious nazi killin'.... That's sounds actually really dope. I just hope it will be as fun as the source material, and not some grumpy dark ala-sad-Tomb Raider remake.

Questions for devs about lore
Wormerine replied to juanval's topic in Avowed: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Well, had our burst of speculation, and now are waiting for an early gameplay trailer. Even though I am super curious, I don’t think I need to hear about “Avowed” again until they have something more definite to show closer to release. Though personally, I do put faith in rumour that the game takes place in Living Lands and that Forgotten Sanctum’s History of Eora XII book was a teaser for Avowed. -
Yup. It said “pre-order estimated delivery Feb 16”, and the shop forced me to pay for premium deliver to deliver it to Norther Ireland from mainland UK. Then they sent it out same evening, and I got it the next day... .
-
Yeah, I mean Aorus Master OC 3070. Oddly enough, the preorder turned out to be a purchase, and graphic card is in my possession. Still, need to acquire the rest of the build, though I suppose that is that of me hoping to not buy the most expensive version possible. it’s pwetty though.

Microsoft is taking over AAA RPG territory. InXile is working one one as well apparently. Is there even money in it? Unless it’s Skyrim? EDIT. According to fairly reliable leaker it’s First Person RPG aim UE5. Fallout-like to Obsidian’s ElderScrolls like? On a definitely positive note, outside Deathloop Arcane is cooking something else. Another immersive sim I would hope, looking at who is involved:

Managed to secure an Aorus Master OC for mid February. Short supply is one way to not make we waver when spending £700. EDIT. I hear it needs some software update.

Oh absolutely not, and Josh sensibilities made PoE what it is, as why I like it. Deadfire, I think, also responds to PoE1 issue, where some major background information are just put in the books. There is a balance between those two. I have written before on how a protagonist tied to Deadfire conflict personally, might be a better vessel for this journey then importing the Watcher. As to “shorter campaigns” - that’s pretty much Bioware approach. Still, more coherent and interconnected Obsidian way worked before - New Vegas being a shining example of excellence and in many ways Deadfire draws from it. PoE2, however, feels disjointed and artificial in a way New Vegas didn’t
-
He was not only writer for Edér, but also the narrative lead for PoE1. I do think his absence is felt but at the same time it also could the result of Obsidian trying to respond to PoE1 criticisms.

So, as I am not able to buy anything, I have been trying to research RTX 3070s - as to if one day they become briefly available, I shall not hesitate which one to try to basket. I am mainly eyeing with lust ASUS’s, and my question is: would I make a big mistake going for non-OC version? ASUS TUF looks tempting at £600, though I am curious what I am loosing by not spending £100 more on strix OC. it being my first PC build I don’t plan to overclock. I also don’t think I need extra HDMI. Does one need to buy OC if one wants to overclock, or does OC version just makes it easier to do? Will I loose anything significant by not going for OC version?

Wait... KFConsole is not a LOLZ joke?

Nothing they said suggested disappointment. I don't know how well d3 sold, but it was reviewed well. Something to keep is mind is that Nordic bailed them from shutting down, so I doubt they are unhappy about the collaboration. https://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/310894/Postmortem_Mimimis_Shadow_Tactics_Blades_of_the_Shogun.php

Uuu, I will add it to my watchlist. I stumbled on his “F3 is garbage, and here is why” a long time ago, and he won me over. This is just pandering at this point.

THQ Nordic is the owner of the IP, so I dont know If you will be giving money to the dev team or the publisher. I am glad you enjoyed it though, I loved both of their recent titles. Luckily for you, Mimimi will be self-publishing their next title, so it will be an excellent occasion to show them your support. EDIT. As you mentioned you are new to the genre I think the first Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is well worth giving a go, if you don’t mind a little retro-playing. It’s been patched up to work smoothly on modern systems, and it controls surprisingly well for a game from around 2000. It is a wee bit less elegant then Mimimi’s modern design, but it still has plenty going for it.

Yeah, I know. Official G-syncs are too pricey for my taste. I am at the moment leaning towards Gigabyte G27Q. ISP, flat, 1440p Freesyncs. Seems like a good value for money.
-
I can't imagine anyone being happy for C77 launch. You have been crunched to rush the project, while management lied about games state and progress. A big chunk of W3 goodwill is being burned, and without a doubt CDPR reputation isn't as it was a month ago. It's a shame.
-
I am currently trying to find my way among monitors. Any recommendations? My initial thoughts has been: IPS 1440p G-Sync compatible. is there anything decent of that sort in £200-300? (I think it’s more 1080p range). if not: anything in £300-400?

I must say, I thought building a decent PC would be cheaper. I do have reservation on spending over £2000 pounds on a toy. And not the best of the best toy at that. If I had TV I might consider getting a console. As it stands.... I guess I will hope that after 3 weeks of no work/no TV/no socializing holiday my reservations will melt .

I don’t plan on overclocking it really (from what I read it’s not terribly beneficial for RYZEN. What’s OC? Thanks for the tip! I adjusted it.

As of today this is my draft https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/sF8TwP any comments?

Ha! His speedruns make everyone look like a noob. It's hours of research and pretty skillful play. Personally, I am fine with it being stealth oriented experience - there is purity in that. The game is very much about repeat and mastery. And I do like my games specialized. I did find the "public zone" mechanic a bit of a waste, but they do some neat things with it near the end of the game. After two games I am up for a change though. Customisable abilities and equipment comes to mind, but it could break the delicate balance they have. I could definitely see they stealth systems be a part of a larger design, rather then a sole focus, but then we are talking about a fairly big game from a bigger studio. I don't know of Mimimi is there just yet.
