Devs were pretty open from the start that certain features that they know there is demand for (like 3rd person camera or modding support) won't be possible to add for this relatively small budget, first in the IP, build from the ground up game. Perhaps for the sequel. OW is also build in Unreal Engine, not an inhouse one, and while I know little of modding UE isn't famous from being mod friendly out of the box. As such I would also keep expectations regarding modding take for Avowed - though it is a far bigger Microsoft funded production, so anything is possible at this point.

I checked Epic UK store and no season pass nor DLC are available for pre-purchase. Perhaps try once DLCs are released? Tomorrow I think?

What do you mean? They are unlikely to kickstart anything now when they are owned by a sizable corporation and InXile is a different studio.

Eh, I think it's fair. Alpha Protocol is much easier to like if you are not actively playing it. I have fond memories of this game, but when I played it for the first time before PoE1 release I quit-raged quite a lot.

If Obsidian wants to explore aftermath of PoE2 in Avowed, I think this is a perfect place to bring new players in. This is where secrets can be revealed to the whole world, and Avowed protagonist could face the truth by following consequences, rather then learning about Watcher’s journey - in the end while PoE2 set up many things, many storylines did come to a close. Leaden Key’s secret is not to be secret, Eothas completed his journey. Events that led up to aren’t as relevant as the event itself. It could be a good place to invite new players and hopefully they might be interested enough to try older titles. But yeah, I assume it is not called PoE3 for a reason - as far as we know it might have nothing to do with PoE storyline. Whatever it will be, I am not worried about it. Obsidian has never compromised on RPGness of their RPGs. Even their most streamlined RPGs (like Outer Worlds, Tyranny) are still really good.

Or you know... they just make characters that fit the universe they created. Having models from Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue might go against that whole corporate oppression they were going for.

I think I liked OW as quest update "tong!" gives me happy-tingles. Uuuu, I like portable-phonographs.

RPS review isn't great. I will definitely hold from playing it, at least until they patch it up a bit. Still, I am not finished with Kingmaker and sounds very familiar. Honestly, I didn't quite like what I have seen in the demo. I will play it someday though.

I just created myself and my 3 friends. I don't know what to do for W3 though. I think I will go for proper roleplaying and create a duo from scratch.

I actually don't like that. It's pretty much a class system but with weak class trees, and tries to hide it by showing all trees at once.
