  1. Re: GoT, this made me chuckle.
  2. Holy ****, GoT just went full Come and See in that episode. Some superb stuff mixed with some somewhat confusing character decisions.
  3. I never hid the fact that I thought he was a fascist, bigoted prick, but following that martyr's speech I'm even more inclined to say "good riddance".
  4. I still don't believe this is a real movie.
  5. Chris and Tina were a stunning rhythm section, and made Talking Heads one of the grooviest bands in the planet. Their studio recordings are good, but live they were unstoppable.
  6. Download OBS and use it to record your playthrough, then upload it to YouTube as a regular video. I suppose anyhow.
  7. Oh hey guys, Ryan Reynolds just leaked the Pokémon Detective Pikachu movie online. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAA_yWX8ycQ
  8. Ah, strange, could've sworn the game was released on May 9th. That's cool though! Can't wait.
  9. Besides, Thursday should be one-year anniversary for the game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they released it then.
  10. A rather amusing defense of the tactics in The Long Night, even if I don't quite agree with Matt on this one.
  11. The following link also worked for me: https://storage.googleapis.com/moz-fx-normandy-prod-addons/extensions/hotfix-update-xpi-intermediate%40mozilla.com-1.0.2-signed.xpi
  12. I could be mistaken here, but at 32% return on investment, and knowing each Fig investment unit accounted for a $1000 investment, that'd be around a $320 return so far. The last announced dividend as far as I'm aware was November, where the investors saw a $192.67 return per unit. The above quote says the most recent chart does not reflect what Deadfire's made since the release of the TB mode, so the info is up to a period earlier than January 24th. That means that between the cutoff point for the first dividend and the point which the above table reflects, there's been roughly a $127.33 increase return per unit. On the Fig charts the investor breakeven point is estimated at about 543650 units sold, which assuming is accurate and assuming the above numbers reflect the real progress up to this milestone, that would mean about 174000 units sold up to that point (or, in terms of money, about $7,828,560, which should translate to $5,479,992 for Obsidian when removing stores' share). Obviously this is all calculated by an absolute layman who has no understanding of numbers or finance whatsoever, so take all the above with several grains of salt.
  13. New Magma album on June 28th! Rejoice!
  14. @injurai Not sure if you know this album, but given your love for Amon Tobin and somewhat electronic-tinged jazz, you might enjoy Prezens by David Torn:
  15. One for @Keyrock
  16. I consider this the canon S8E3.
  17. I think it's worth pointing out that Deadfire itself was in no need of a crowdfunding campaign following the rotund success that the first Pillars proved to be - it just happened to prove a good system which, I believe, fans and followers were eager to take part in and lend a hand with. On a personal level I pledged because I wanted to support Obsidian and I was confident they'd do a good job with the franchise a second time around. Unless Microsoft ownership implies a Win 10/Xbox exclusivity deal on the Pillars franchise I'd be eager to help out in a future crowdfunding campaign regardless of who owns Obsidian. It could also allow Obsidian a greater ground in proposing the idea of a niche game for a niche audience to the parent company, who may not be so eager to have a part of their studio working on something not as appealing to a general market as an Outer Worlds type game.
  18. If someone told me that film/trailer sat in a vault unreleased for 12 years and was dusted off because one of its producers fell in hard times or whatever, I wouldn't be surprised. Between Jim Carrey's shtick, "Gangsta's Paradise", an approach to the source material that recalls the baffling made-by-an-out-of-touch-comittee feeling of films like Dragon Ball Evolution and The Last Airbender, the woeful CGI and, well, even the choice of source material, this literally feels like a contemporary to these in all the worst ways. But I guess I'm happy Jim Carrey still gets some work nowadays.
