  1. Looks like my kind of horror movie.
  2. Same. I also honestly don't think Dany's turn was bad as it was either - there were enough signs as early on as the first season showing problems to the "hero" narrative behind her, which especially grew worse with her arrival to Westeros. I do think a few more episodes would have helped flesh the thing out a little more naturally but the issue wasn't with the arc or plot points themselves.
  3. Sad to see him go. Good luck on your new endeavours, @Aarik D!
  4. Pretty interesting, HBO's releasing a podcast alongside each of the episodes for Chernobyl... Worth a listen:
  5. This is curious to an extent. If the next round of disbursement is being issued for a figure up to and not including the release of TB, where exactly was the cut-off point established for the last round too? At this point the dividends are a good four months behind the present time, maybe more. So will we have to wait til' November to hear how things have gone with the most recent months, and assume that only covers revenue up to July? Edit: Seems the first dividend covered sales up to September. If so, surely the above should be reflecting sales up until March? A bit odd.
  6. I suspect it'll turn out similar to the Robocop remake. Also you gotta wonder what the "canon" to the franchise is at this point, if there even is one.
  7. Just watched ep. 1 of Chernobyl. I'm literally shivering. That was one of the most distressing, nightmarish slices of television I've ever seen. Edit: Got caught up with what's available so far... Yeah, this series is top-notch.

  9. The GoT ending was fine.
  10. Reminds me of Dan Olson's video on FOMO mechanics in Fortnite and so on:
  11. More like government "plans" and "renovations" and "credits" and the likes. All fake, or heavily overestimated. Or just straight-up bribery too.
  12. A lot of money, basically, which they've stolen over twelve years.
  13. Gross domestic product (sort of forced a translation as in Spanish we call it "producto bruto interno" and that appeared to be alright in some sources - but I think GDP's correct).
  14. So the previous administration in our country led by Cristina Kirchner, which stole the GDP of an entire *year* (estimated at around U$S 300 billion), is preparing to postulate themselves for the next turn a muppet as president who will be there only to bypass the law that presidents may not pardon themselves of a crime, in order to pardon Kirchner - who herself will run as vicepresident - and then capitulate so as to let her take over the government again. And continue stealing this way, of course. This is the country I live in.
  15. @injurai If you haven't heard this album yet, give it a spin. It might be of your interest.

  17. You may as well ask why people play games in the most challenging mode possible. The reward isn't meant to be the real incentive behind completing the Ultimate, it's just an extra to those who have fun trying to crack such near-impossible achievements, a way of further recognizing them beyond the general personal reward of "having done this". As to whether you find it rewarding or not, it's really up to whether you enjoy playing games in this fashion; but if you're not, then you're not the target audience for this challenge. But again, fun is the main objective here, not whatever "compensation" is ultimately offered.
