  1. I finaly discovered how to do this right!!! When the download is complete disconnect from the Internet (provided you use dial-up like I do) and then it begins to install the bloody patch. Deacon I hope you don't have broadband for this was the only solution I managed to uncover sofar.
  2. At first I downloaded the 1a exe patch and I managed to install it. When I downloaded the 1b patch my suffering begun. I run the exe 1b patch and when it reches 97% I get a F*****G windows crush message. I reboot and try again. NOTHING. After several Intall - uninstall procedures I dicided to use the update function on the game launch menu. When the bloody download is complete the f*****g patching procedure doesn't start. It is as if the download never ended even though it sais "done downloading". Any advice or psychiatrist reccomendations are welcome.
  3. Thanks, I was able to install from my hard drive. No idea why the installer wasn't recognizing the CDs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Glad to be of assistance.
  4. Try copying its contents on your hard drive. If the copy is unsuccesfull then you might have a problematic cd. In this case return it to the store from where you bought it.
  5. Heh heh heh. Um I am going to the store RIGHT NOW to see if they have it.
  6. If you are running Windows XP with SP 2 check the security center configuration. Windows might be blocking certain aspects of Kotor 2 so it can't run properly.
  7. If I remember correctly Lucas art and Bioware gave a few basic ellements for the story to be buid upon. For example the protagonist would start as a jedi class, would NOT be amnesiac e.t.c. purelly basic stuff really. If Bioware had a sequel in mind they would have made KotOR more openended in my opinion.
  8. I can only hope that they will fix the major ones at least in the first patch. Plus I pray that obsidian will not abandon the title after the second patch like Bioware did with KotOR leaving unresolved bugs .
  9. You could easily find a new cooler for 20 or so bucks. Plus all the new coolers are made for stronger and therefore more heat producing (some) proccesors. So almost any cooler you buy will do for overcloacking. Just watch out not to increase the Voltage to much.
  10. My thoughts exactly. Just a few more days. Just a few... <_< <_< <_< P.S. Where were you born?
  11. You could try overclocking your prossecor foran extra 100 or more Mghz and you could also buy additional Ram (another 256 preferably) or change your graphics card (I would recomend one of the Nvidia FX series they are cheap and have at least 64 MB of ram, a vast improvement to your current card). Just a thought.
  12. Believe me when I say that many Greeks don't know their own language. And the massive "invasion" of English has not helped at all. Actually I have caught my self many times "thinking" in English rather than Greek. Anyway I am getting completly of topic so... I wish it was 12 of the month so I could play the damn game. OK ramblings over.I think...   " " "
  13. my mom gave it to me, she works as a crack whore just down the street from obsidian headquarters <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am afraid you have some BIG issues.
  14. If it makes you happy, when we get our copies, we'll wait to play it until you get your :D . Dragon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh Thanks. I guess... It's good to know I am not alone.
  15. Ase re patrida ehw liwsei me auto to RPG. Kai to provlhma einai oti exw exetaseis twra kai den mporw na sygentrothw. Trexa gyreve. Anyway xairetismoi apo thn wraia Ellada kai me to kalo na epistrepseis sta patria edafh. For all the others in the forum those were "Greeklish".
  16. Well personaly I don't mind to wait a few more days. What REALY pissed me off was the fact that U.S. Xboxer's had the game from December, while the rest of the world had to wait for February 5-8 and in my case (I am Greek),I have to wait until the 11th of this Bloody month. I am just too anxious for my own good I suppose.
  17. Which is one reason I like Jolee Bindo so much. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah he is my Favorite character. B)
  18. Well only part of it in my opinion. If you remember outside the tomb of Adjunta pal the Sith student said that Sith apparitions were possible. This meant that there were others in the past that came forth from the dark side of the force to guide or manipulate the living. That most certainly shows that those Sith felt no remorse in death and they felt that they followed the righ side of the force. Don't forget that Adjunt pal was a haunt not joined with either side of the force and beholden only to his self impossed guilt. The bottom line is that wether the Dark side is the path to destruction or not is a matter of perspective. The Jedi almost fear it and they try to strip themselves of emotion to protect themselves from it, while the Sith embrace it allmost blindly, throwing away their humanity and gorging themselves in their passions in the procces. The truth of the matter is in the eyes of the respected sides but the right path (in my humble opinion) lies in that blurry gray mist that exists between the Darkness and the Light.
  19. What I found Totallly Lame was the fact that Yuthura Ban could not join your party. In Tatoine I got HK and in Kashyyk Jolee. Both planets were places that anyone would like to get away from, so why not Korriban. Besides it was the worst place for an ex-sith to be, so she should definetily want to get out of planet as quick as possible. So why not join Revan? I just don't get it. At least I hope she appears in KotoR 2 or even better I wish Obsidian makes her a joinable NPC now.
  20. I dont see how breaking down two ordinary blasters would give you anything but spare parts. To upgrade/improve something you need a BETTER component to put in it at the very least. I said that I would break down ONE blaster for "spare parts" not both of them. If someone has a high repair skill, he should be able to modify a normal blaster with a few spare parts. I asked if I could upgrade any weapon-armor or only those marked as upgradable. Would this apply also to lightsabers? I mean sure you can customize your lightsaber by changing the crystals but could you somehow upgrade the device itself through the workbench?
  21. I 've read about the new ways the workbench will be used but there are a few things I don't understand. I read that you will be able to break down your equipment so that you can upgrade other items. So if I had two ordinary blastres could I break down one of them and use the parts to improve the other or I could only only improve Upgradaple specific weapons?
  22. I strongly believe that Bastilla's appearance should be strictly dictated by the Players choices at the begining of the game. Besides since the player chooses how the previous story ended then there sould definetily be an option about Bastilla's survival since she only dies if Revan decides to kill her on the Star Forge. So since there is the possibility of her death during KOTOR 1 then the player could choose outright her death from the begining of the game. If the Sith had prevailed then Bastilla follows Revan as his/hers apprentice and if Revan followed the Light then agian she must have joined him/her. The fact of the matter is this: Revan's fate is joined with Bastilla's. They have a bond so when Revan Leaves for unknown space then Bastilla should definetily join hm/her in his/hers quest. Ex or present Sith Lords don't wander around the galaxy aimlesly. Bastilla AND Revan are definetily going to make an appearance in the Sequel with one way or another.
