  1. I suggest Adventures first and replay the heck out of it until your current heroes get stuck then get another solo character to help on that point. I don't recommend getting the char bundle at first, as it will become tedious to grind for it (depends on your level of patience), I advice to have a full party first as farming 20k gold on legendary will be faster with a 6-man party.

Seelah - Divine closer and Jack-of-all-Trades Amiri - Smasher and Mobility Lini - All around Closer and Gatherer Ezren - Speedy Explorer and All Things Arcane Seoni - Blow Stuff and Charisma Closer Monk Dude - Fist to Face Banes and Acrobat/Dex Closer.
  3. If you're still pretty low level? I suggest starting over and always keep in mind to forfeit if you think you have no chance of completing the quest because of the current bug. Failing early is ok, focus on getting good cards to the point of defeating banes and traps without using allies and blessings. You should only use them on extra explores or sure location closing. Be patient with Ezren, higher level locations and spells will make him a very good character later.
  4. But it banishes banes! ( talking about Enchantress o a Satyr! ) When your deck is already optimized, you wouldn't really care for another boon, sure, it might screw you with that one weapon you really like but lets face it, most of the time, this will banish trash Boons. This is good with speed runs ^^
  5. I think most of the displeasure (mine included) isn't the removable of discounted chest but rather eliminating the option for buying in bulk with gold. Its just right that paid players get some of incentive, in this case bonus chest..it just seems like the overall change punishes people who has lots of gold, F2P or not, which are in turn the same people that plays the game. ( coz everyone earns gold ingame) If they could just bring back the ability to buy in bulk even without the bonus chest with gold, I think most people will understand the change better than what we have coming right now.
  6. Maybe they'll revert it back in future patch? *fingers crossed* I'm good with not getting bonus chests, those that pay should be given incentive. But this seems like a step forward, two steps backward thing in design when both options could be used. More options, better for the game IMHO.
  7. So i just have to buy Chest multiple times instead of bulk and not got freebie chest. Ouch.. I wonder why not make both options available..gold and realmoney for buying chest?
  8. I think that is a glitch/bug. Pre latest patch, I remember if i don't complete quest mode I don't get the exp I gain during the scenario. I think someplace in the bug section, they say its better to forfeit the scenario if you are about to level up but can not outright win the scenario. As for the lost reward, i think its a wait and see for fixes.
  9. Really? Thanks. I never noticed any gold gain following the deck restructure... guess it was very, very small. Now that you mention it, when I exit the card restructure phase, I sometimes HEAR coins drop, but I don't see any graphic showing it. Interesting. Thats it. It depends on my wifi connections if i see it or not..much like when you finish and get rewards on completing a scenario..if my connection sucks..it shows zero, if its good, its shows the reward and even shows it being added to my total gold.

Are you thinking salvaging cards?No, well not entirely if you're thinking of salvaging of cards in your gallery.Whenever your party has excess card of any type at the time you reconfigure deck after a scenario, they are automatically salvaged. Example a party of 4 of total allowed allies of 8, if you have by the end of scenario have more the 8 allies total by deck reconfiguration, it is salvaged automatically, same goes with other cardtype. I don't know the exact conversion per card but i noticed more rare useless card I have in excess (AD1 Globes), I get more gold.
  12. 2. You get gold for them. Yes, very much worth it, during the scenario it is HP for your hero. Afterwards, they're converted into gold..more rare = more gold, more excess card = more gold.

I agree with the card rewards as dissappointing early on but have come to accept as it is to the point that when I was levelling up I only ever care about reaching the level where you get additional abilities/stats. Being it as it is, I think the gold reward in questmode at least make up for it. I remember playing and tricking myself i just got to level through this crappy reward and pool the gold so I can buy a treasure where I'm guaranteed a rare card or something and telling myself this is the real card reward ^^

In reply to dice upgrade as you describe, Lini shapeshift and the Monk's ability already does this so if the developers decided to implement it, they just might have the framework to accomodate it. That being said , I don't think they will..or at least change how the parallelism of storymode and questmode is as is now. The storymode is faster in terms of power gaining and is cap by how far your adventures is, but questmode is also constraint by a level cap (40 for now). Questmode is slower almost to a crawl between some level, and in my early playing, frustrating that you are rewarded on some level a crappy card. The carrot is on almost every 5 or 10 levels i think where it mimics the reward you get from completing a scenario in storymode ( + hand size, ability, etc.) They might decide to remove the level cap when all adventures are release and there is an clear endgame storywise just so they can gauge how much power they allow the players get in questmode but then i think it will result on unbalancing for or in some part of the game..not to mention unlimited level is whole other problem. To sum up, the storymode will always take priority in how powerful a character could be or what mechanics they can attain and questmode will just emulate it at a slower pace but both will end up with same endgame situation.
  16. Can you link us to this person so we know exactly what they are saying? Sorry can't. As it might be perceive offensive. I was just verifying it and now close to 6k gold and hoping to hit the limit as I can't cncentrate on binge-watching Stranger Things. I'm getting close to 750g per episode though..not counting the gps on banes, location closing and salvage cards. Still can't decide if its a good thing or a bad thing.
  17. Are you talking about the challenge? No not that. What i mean is can i only get 5k gold per day if i grind on legendary? I remember earlier during my vacation i think i grinded 10k just to unlock the chracter package with Amiri and rest. Scratch above..i get what your saying..so there is actually no cap. Right? Thats what you're saying?

  19. Questmode - Legendary - Permadeath Scenario Power- Painful Memories, Full packs and 2d4 difficulty modifier for Giants. First Off Villain Preview. Mamma Graul..understandable. Henchmen Preview. 8 DORELLA and HOOKMAW..eight! First off, i know its quest mode, i'd like to ask if this is possible and is as intended? This is the first time i encountered multiple named /unique henchmen in a scenario..Ok, we asked for it. Gameplay. Draw 1 Dorella&Hookmaw. AI roll for modifier (3+1) AI ask to roll for Dex (10 to beat ) Succeed in Dex roll Combat > Difficulty didn't increase by 4..stayed at 12 (bugged?) Beat it AI rerolls for difficulty Modifier (4+2) Combat > Difficulty is now raised by 6 (21 to beat now) Villain first Fight Draw Mamma Graul AI rolls for modifier Mamma Grauls summons a henchman (skeleton i think) Roll combat damage for henchman and succeed Face Mamma Grauls but her difficulty wasn't raised and she was beaten On the second fight Everything happens again except when i finally beat her..she just sits around the screen, doesnt banish and the scenario won't end. Ole dependable Option > Vault > Escape unstuck me.
  20. Questmode - Legendary - Permadeath Found the Villain (Briar something Elf Dude), and fail. Ezren has a max hand of 8 and i can only draw 7. He died. More sad than frustrated , i didn't continue with adventure and take a break, hoping they haven't fix the bug i encountered before that resurrect dead characters. some hours passed and I've acceptd his fate, logged in again and tried to continue the scenario. As soon as i get back with the scenario I forfeit the game, had the warning and accepted. When it was time to salvage extra cards, Ezren was well and alive, he was at max level. I feel dirty.. And happy at the same time.
  21. Hmmm, i think once you complete a non-legendary story scenario, you stop getting rewards for completing it even from characters you did not use it completing them. Did i made it simple or even confusing? Perhaps the UI shouldnt show the reward breakdown when it is already completed?
  22. How is it not possible to complete something as assisting someone 15x in a day? As of now,some players are gathering data for existing challenges and how to complete them so those having a hardtime with it can have an idea how to approach it efficiently? And the solution I'm against is Stackable multiple unlimited time quest..persistent single quest that doesnt change if you done complete or abandon it would be ok for compromise. And again, if youre not complaining about missing out on gold, there is a list currently being made on existing challenge which you can look and choose and compete on your own when you are able to play to begin with. Its not about exclusivity, its about offering someone who plays it frequently some reward apart from someone who occassionally play. Because a game should behave like that..the more you play, the more it should reward you because if not whats the point of playing more? Because the business model of a F2P game without exclusive content for paying customer and without some competitive environment should have something leaning towards the paying client more favorably. With the introduction of an additional gold generation swings the game more favorable to me as a F2P player? And what is the daily cap for gold gain here, I haven't encountered it before..i'm playing today and passed 2k gold on legendary today in a short amount of time (not because im "pro", its because its doable) and if an AP cost 4k gold, thats almost half the cost which begs to question why would someone pay for it in real money when its so easy to just buy it in gold ingame?

Questmode Legendary Permadeath On Rusty Dragon Scenario Powers: Arrow Traps, Painful Memories and 2d4 Difficulty Modifier for Giants Encountered Twice with Amiri and Ezren Draw the Villain, AI modified difficulty Roll Damage (i choose combat), succeed. Villain discard a card and replenish my hand Roll for second Damage, succeed Villain then rerolls for difficulty again. Out of weapons, and won't let me use blessings to assist roll. Roll for damage and fail 2nd time around for Ezren Same situation except because i have 3 lightning bolt in hand i succeeded on the third roll which then ended the scenario. Shouldn't i just have rolled 2 combat damage than 3 to destroy him?
  24. In both case, the challenges makes you invested a little more in the game either timewise or moneywise, which is good for the dev and in a long run good for the game. The challenge doesn't let you not play the way you like, it opens a possibility that the game can be played outside your comfort zone and at leasts entices and offer you to play a different way. If this is not possible for you, then yeah, the challenge maybe not suited for your gameplay but of course you can still play the game you want the way you want it. If you look at the current list of known challenges, most of them can be played in a single scenario (40 minutes even 30 minutes per is a bit slow stretch here), even with most basic cards or at the lowest of level (e.g. touched by the gods, 30 damages, 30 banes). Most of the complains here is that the mechanic is bad because I don't want/cant to login everyday when one of the reason it is put in the first place is to make you login daily.
