  1. We'll if you don't see how exploitable free easy gold is then you haven't come across farmers. The whole content as a whole cost 25$, i bet when this game is completed, you will see accounts for sale for less than that all content unlock all character unlock via gold. And where does that leave the developer? Now it doesn't encourages player to login less when there is no incentive to login daily? When login in once in 3 days and playing less you get the same rewards as login in everyday? How does it not translate bad when what your proposing is more free easy gold? How is gold not relevant to Daily quest when we ask if your willing to take penalty for taking too long to complete it? Your under the assumption everyone has unlock everything here when everyday I see post from new players asking for advice or something trivial? If you havent unlock a character and the quest specify that character, how is not buying that character irrelevant to the ability to complete quest? It always comes back to these things with you, yes revenue is hurt by those thing but do you really want to hurt it even more? They are losing money everytime players choose to go F2P than buy stuff ingame and with your proposal the game will cater more to F2P more than ever, making paying clients think twice before purchasing anything. How confusing it is when you say something ( make player play frequently ) then contradict it yourself ( its ok for people to login less ). Login in less is a sign of burnout, both things are bad for a game. And again with inaccesibility? What aspect of the game do you have no access to?
  2. I think thats one of the selling point of the game digitally and the difference with the base tabletop. In the tabletop, you always have the option of switching characters. Here, its either buy that new hero or get stuck/have a difficulty completing something. Its like some app that leys you play the first 3 levels free but then ask to purchase it if you want to continue..only PAthfinder doesnt stop you from playing, it just makes it very very difficult. ^^ I remember wanting to complete B-AD2 with Meri and just the Priestess and saving the gold for the extra packages but somewhere along sandpoint until i decided to waste gp to purchase Seelah solo rather than fail farming for 20k gold.
  3. Damn...times like this, I wish i'm more familiar with storymode ^^ On topic, a few weeks back, i started rolling d6 to for party number and a d9 i think for party composition. Needless to say end up on 4 caster party and ended up wiped out on BlackFang. Goodtimes..goodtimes. ^^

I don't get it..you said Obsidian wants a mechanism that makes people play more frequently and when I said people will login less with your proposal without any penalty, you're saying its ok and its your whole point? Do you want people to play more or to play less? And how is 1k gold reward for a single completion not broken and exploitable? If people can get the same gold logging once than logging thrice, which do you think will they prefer. People that login daily now will login less, People that login less will stay the same. And if you think its an ok scenario for a game then I think you are wrong. If anything game should strive for those player that login less to login more frequently and make them set aside more of their free time to play it. I have not yet played a game that encourages its player to login less. HS quests, implementation or the quests itself, translate bad for this game you said yourself there is no competition built in game to hinder someone to fast easy gold. If you need to beat something 3x using Ezren here, you only need to play against the AI and the scenario itself which is pretty much set aside from the rng of location cards as compare to HS that beating someone 3x means 3 different players with 9 possible classes with infinite amount of decktype with a whole lotta chance of scrubing out. I agree that making the challenge better (anything could be made better), i just don't think making the game HS-lite is e better option. Convenience in a game like this should equate purchase. If players think they're losing on gold because they don't have the time to login daily and complete quest, there's always an option to buy gold. You have a character challenge you havent unlock yet, you should be tempted by the game to make that purchase and skip all that farming because you don't have the time. As much as the Challenges are for the players (extra gold) , i think it also have to do with revenue on the developer's side.
  5. I'm still thinking how Obsidian can attract paying clients for the game. Currently gold is too easy for my taste..with the upping on Legendary reward and introducing the current challenges has made it easier. I feel dirty not spending anything for this excellent game (aside from the humble bundle) The only thing I could do to ever repay em ( i hope, even indirectly ) is buy the base cardgame for my collection. On the original topic, yeah, i think its only way Obs can limit my goldgain but I'm not complaining (as explain above). I still enjoy scenario replay on lower difficulty specially now with the challenges, i have reason to replay on some characters i don't like on storymode again..sort of an investment, in case i needed them on some random challenge ^^
  6. The truth is the mechanism to keep people playing the app frequently is already there. Your solution only encourages more people to have the same playing habit as you ( which is better and more convenient ). Lets say they change it to stackable unlimited time challenge, What would be prevent me to just login 2-3x weekly if we are just talking about completing challenges? If i have 20 evades, 20 bane and X character / X scenario completion challenge stacked..I could just complete this in one go, in one login with the right party. Thats if average 200gold reward and if on legendary/full party..almost 1k gold in one completion. That there is broken. But if i have to do them separately over 3 days..my gold reward will be a bit higher around 1650gold but it has should be understandable as it has taken me 3 scenarios and 3 days to complete them. Obsidian can't make money if gold farming is too easy. Introducing the challenge actually makes it easier for gold in the long run as everybody anticipates the challenges and prepare accordingly. Stacking it makes it even easier because if I clear 3 in one go, the 2 other scenario I would have done without stacking is now easier as I don't have to limit myself to the challenge constraint. No one would spend on the game because of this. And in the frequency of playing, this just encourages less logins as there is no incentive in login in everyday, and actually penalized everyday login goldwise. Perhaps persistent daily challenge could work even optional change 1x. But Stackable Multiple quest is something bad as the game does not have the same business model as HS.
  7. Why do you keep on dismissing that Daily also means the length of time it is need to be DONE within the day? It is how it is being implemented and probably how it was brainstormed and design to be so. The daily refers to the frequency and the time it has to be done in. the time constraint is PART of the challenge, if you have infinite time to do something, it stops to be challenging, when the task itself is mundane. But your argument is I don't have much time to play your game and complete your challenge, cater to me against rather than those who is trying to figure out how to complete a challenge in a day and login more just to come up with a solution. When the developers wants you and gives you a reason to login daily and then you say no, i don't have time for that, i want to login once a week but still be on par with players who do login daily..thats just not fair for both the devs and the other players. If you can't be bother to play for 5 minutes i don't think you would be included in the dev target demographic. If you want compromise, would you do the challenges if you are penalized for taking too long to complete it? Would you do it if you on can only get gold on the first 24hrs it is available?
  8. Yeah, the general store works and for some reason the watchtower doesn't. Like we keep saying you just need some preparation.. If you want to make it like HS, you still need to atleast down 3 scenario as the average quest there is defeat using N 3x. Honest question: if we get to stack daily challenges up to 3x but can only be rewarded gold if you complete 1 24hrs after it is gotten, would you guys have a problem with that?

But i thought gold is not a priority for you and you just want to be able to complete the quest efficiently, why compare bonus income now for the same length of time if your playing for the one challenge or just playing 3 scenario. For fast complete on evade, get merisiel, find a scenario with watchtower, evade the henchmen every start of turn.
  10. I wonder if its easier on the guardhouse (sure henchmen at the start of turn). Henchmen are banes right? M just try it later..s Tried it and the henchmen doesnt seem to count on the evade
  11. About the daily challenge, that is how it is implemented, gotten for a day and should be done in a day, how is it personal when that is how it is working and design by the developers? Granted it might change..but it is what is it now and most definitely my not because I said so.. Use Merisiel, evade then put on top. If your not at this level with Meri then as i said you're not that prepared to do the challenge efficiently. The challenge doesnt imply to finish the scenario, some challenge do..but this one does not. You said yourself not to limit the fun in playing. Some people find fun in completing these challenge anyway they want it. You want effociency..there's a suggestion.
  12. You misundestand. First, Daily Challenges was made to be gotten AND done in a day. It is as it is intended when it was introduced. Telling that the time limit has nothing to do with the challenge is false. Second, Daily Challenge is not exclusive to hardcore players. Casual players can complete it just not consistently because, for example, you have the Challenge "Solo Seoni on Foul Misgiving". The challenge is 1.Seoni should be unlock, 2.Foul Misgiving should be unlock, 3. Complete the scenario - right there in there, if you say you can only play for 1 hour and a scenario for you takes 1 hour, if you do not have 1 unlock yet you have 3 choices: 1. Buy Seoni with money, Good for Dev 2 Spend/Farm Gold for Seoni, good for you as your daily play now has added goal 3. Forget about the challenge. No harm No foul, skip for now and hope you encounter it when you've done the the requirement via you're daily playing allowances. Third, what challenges are you having a hard time completing? If you not after the reward gold then it should be ok for you to fail for the challenges you simply are not yet prepared for, you can prepare for it next time you encounter it. Like as above, as I am mostly a questmode player, I don't have an experienced Seoni let alone unlocked Foul Misgiving with her on storymode, i now have a purpose to play storymode with her. I will fail today but next time, i will be ready and for good measure i partied with her those other characters underleveled..now its a replayability factor on story mode. On a side note, someone is trying to make a list of daily challenge perhaps you can add to the list and we can plan/advice on how each can be completed efficiently Fourth, I'm not blaming F2P as i'm F2P myself (exc pt for the humble bundle) i'm just stating the fact the players that payed for the game wants F2P to have a harder time farming gold as it is now, stacking 3 challenges, will make it easier for me to farm gold and perhaps even making the paid players feel more unfair.
  13. Will do..but for now..your list is all the challenge i have encountered so far. Weird huh ^^ Also lets put ways on how to approach and complete them like Evade 30 Banes which of course.. Use Seoni with all Invisibility spells! I kid, use Merisiel ^^
  14. So when a Doctor do his daily rounds, he can..you know..just do it tomorrow? Or just check out tomorrow the Daily weather for today because it will not be irrelevant for tomorrow. Daily has to do when its given out or done or in this case, both. You can't just pick the ones you like and disregard the other use of the word.. The time constraint is part of the challenge. You want it hard..then accept the clock.
  15. It's called "Daily Challenge"... how long do you expect it to be available for completion? A week? Or maybe even longer? It's called 'Daily Challenge' because you get a new one every day to get a bonus reward. Doesn't mean at all that can't endure for longer to help player to complete them. In a week you ll always accept 7 challenges at max also if you can stack 3 (as other games already do), because normal player with work and family can't play for sure every day or a couple of hours for days.... Remember it's just a game. A game we love, but a game we have to put aside for real situations.... Actually Daily means something to be done or produced in a day. Yep, most of the Dailies will be hard for the casual gamer like yourself but there are some which you can actually complete ( like evade x..solo on merisiel and evade everything / or you get lucky, one of your experienced characters get a daily challenge ). At least, it should get you motivated to level up a character you haven't played or unlock that character knowing now you might need him/her for a daily challenge The way I see it: Casual gamer who can't devote time/effort to complete a challenge can forego one for a day. Maybe you'll be lucky you get an easy one, good for you, gives you a reason to login everyday just to check if you can complete it. If you feel like you're losing on that gold reward, that means you're playing for the gold..which if casually, you're better off farming a L scenario or on questmode. If you want both then you are not a casual player. You actually need to devote time so you can complete all the challenges thrown at you. Stacking challenges ala HS, will make farming a whole lot easier for F2P which in a separate thread seems to be very very bad. I remember earlier on the launch, people were making up challenge ( Solo-Lem, No Blessing on Closing rolls, etc) just for the sake of it, no rewards whatsoever and no complain was raised. Now that it is built ingame with a reward, problems are raised as it being very hard.

You're confusing being licensed by the original creators to develop their game digitally to totally ripping off and plagiarizing another game's by different creators concept so that YOU can manage to play their game you want the way you want it. The challenge is not inaccessible, maybe the challenge lies in its accessibility itself, its hard but its far from what your saying is impossible. You want it to be manageable is what you're saying which I don't think the developers are thinking when they think of Challenges. Of course, there wouldn' t be innovation needed from your POV because you didn't want those new cards not from the original boardgame because it takes time off the devs to work out all the adventure from the boardgames when most people here welcome it. Maybe the devs can separate Achievement (bigger reward) from Daily Task (smaller reward) from proceeding patches. And if you think playing 24/7 is what it takes from completing a challenge, maybe..just maybe, you're approaching it the wrong way. Maybe just maybe, if you guys are struggling with a challenge, you can start asking advice from those who completed it or brainstorm how to efficiently overcome it, rather than calling out for it to be made easier.
  17. People wants the Daily challenge but don't want it to be challenging..hmm. Some developers want to innovate rather than just copy, maybe they don't want to sacrifice integrity. Feedbacks are welcome but they arent obliged to heed them. Perhaps a compromise. The daily challenge for now seems more of an achievement for casual gamers, I agree.
  18. What location are you fighting at? Are you using weapon? If yes are you proficient in it? Perhaps you rolled 18 on the wisdom check prior to combat but failed on the combat roll itself. Been playing for a while and haven't encountered this things. More info would be good. And oh welcome, hope you enjoy your stay ^^
  19. Its very valid and if not unique way to play her. My only problem with this is with 1 weapon how consistent it is to get it off the bat, or when you actually need it. Stick with it and if its fun and works for you than its good ^^
  20. who are your characters? Well, trying to close everything will be against you definitely..its better to pack a lot of scrying and peekaboos if the force damages are getting to you. I hope you have the Barbarian to ease up on the Mountain location. Basically, 1. Spread out. These will be definitely be tough on healing but would be better because we basically want to get the villain first rather than close every location. 2. Aggro-explore early till you down to same number of location as the number of your characters. And from then slowdown a bit..we want everyone in place for opportunity to close when we find the villain. Its easier when you found the villain in the first two closure so you can pigeonhole it on a location you can safely explorre ( auto fail on a location with least monster and traps) But its all comes down to who your roster is. I hope you get what im trying to say ^^ Also you can group heroes on either side of the mountain and just move in when their turn comes to avoid the check. Definitely one to be closed first as its hard if you let someone stay there.
  21. You know what..I was tricking my mind where I would farm 1400 gold per day (i think this is 4 legendary completion) and I would reward myself with a chest. Therefore satisfying both my chest-opening hunger and saving gp. It we get lucky and get the new contect in one week, I'd have saved 6300gp..enough to hopefully buy the new adventures or at least 1/3 off from the big bundle ^^
  22. You can try reaching out to techsupport if they can revert some of your progress. I guess your down to farming on Story-Legendary mode. I'm trying to recreate it myself (with no luck) to perhaps narrow it down or give the devs more info on the questlock. I'm at max level at quest so no biggie for me to get shut out.
