  1. I missed mopping the floor with you in NHL.
  2. But.. but... the prophecy!! Did Kaft lose his GF to a Japanese dude? Or maybe he was Korean?
  3. From Army of Two's PAL manual, apparently: "NOTE: The online game modes in Army of Two are not cross-region compatible and is only supported between PAL discs." ROFLASKGJASKGHASJKGHASKJGHASKGAS Guess I'll spend that money on Idolmaster planes instead of giving it to you, EA.
  4. Go play Super Mario Galaxy instead of comparing games of completely genres to each other.
  5. Nick and me agree wholeheartedly. This is the best JRPG in many many years.
  6. Yeah, CoD4 is KIA until the real Pluto decides to get a replacement copy. I might actually be able to get one from Activision for 20 Gabs. http://activision.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/act...p?p_faqid=16917 http://www.gametrailers.com/player/31599.html I tend to agree with GT's review. Army of Two's been getting mixed impressions, though I suspect that one reason is that the idiots have been playing the game singleplayer with an AI partner. What a bloody stupid way to play a game supposedly wholely focused on co-op. That being said, there are still some concerns regarding level design and just plain old overall game design (too generic shooter?), though the co-op will likely compensate for any said flaws. I may or may not wait until the game drops in price a bit. Conceptually, though, I'd be more pressed to support a game focused on co-op a bit more, so if any of you losers pick up the game earlier, I might have to get it so that we can get a game going. And Krookie has Ace Combat 6. He still needs to learn the game, but after that we can dance with the angels, mister. That also means we'll have to be in public chat, though. Krookster is also game for trying H3 co-op on iron mode and nothing else. With only players focused on staying alive, it might actually be fun. A 4th player would be nice, but unless we can find someone with the same mindset, they'd be more a hindrance than anything.
  7. Thinly-veiled anti-China propaganda, as usual.
  8. Yes, you are a god... GOD OF EUNUCHS EVERYWHERE! HAHAHAHAHA! I thought you were atheist.
  9. http://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/soutahouse/diary First Treasure, now Cave. And those Raiden devs. The 360 won the Shmup war.
  10. Are you serious?! I have got to try that eventually. That sounds ridiculously hard. I bought the mission (granted, it's 350 pts for ONE mission, so it could be considered pricey). I've only played it a little so far. The sense of scope is nice, given that there are a lot more enemies now. I died a few times even after only taking out the first few targets. Mind you, I wasn't really playing seriously. I still need to finish Expert mode and tackle Ace mode before I really get into this one. But it's very nice how they completely revamped the mission (which they probably would not have if Ace of Aces mode was simply included with the game - though that doesn't make it any less pricey). __________ And I'm all ears re: Army of Two impressions, especially co-op.
  11. Thanks for killing PC gaming!
  12. That's a question only you can answer.
  13. My CoD4 disk is a tad cracked at the center, so it's unreadable. In any case, I've been playing way too much of it, and I've been getting bored of it already. Nick and Krook seem to at least share part of the sentiment. If it weren't for my brother, I'm not even sure if I'd invest into getting a new copy - but he's still much into the game. Had a nice Halo3 session with Nick earlier (and a half-match with that moron K). I missed that game. Running over idiots never gets old. The new patch with improved melee is quite appreciated. Vegas2 and Army of Two are coming out pretty soon. Hmm.
  14. Yes, but would you bet your life on it?
  15. I pick the 360 (by default) for the multiplayer and co-op gaming (especially XBLA arcade games - freaking release more retro titles, idiots IKARUUGAAAAAAA). That, and it's the only system pixies has, so it's the only way to shoot him in the face. I'm not sure I'd pick it over the DS otherwise, though. The unique games it has and its portability are pretty awesome. I don't have the other systems, so the point is moot. Though the Wii is tempting for Brawl and Galaxy. The wiimote itself does very little for me at this point. The only game in which it genuinely interests me is for Trauma Center: New Blood (the DS version was awesome + coooo-ooooop). Otherwise, I've found that I actually just prefer getting unique peripherals for individual games rather than an universal device to mimic such controls. That being said, price is the main issue here. All worth it, mind you. I have, let's see.... (360) the flightstick for Ace Combat 6 - which makes the game infinitely better and easily my favorite 360 game; two guitars for Guitar Hero co-op - simply awesome and great for party gaming; a wheel for Forza2 - which makes me actually enjoy it despite having never been a fan of racing games aside from Mario Kart; and an arcade stick - great for fighters like Virtua Fighter 5 and XBLA arcade titles. I mean, I've spent more on those than the Wii cost. And, of course, they don't have the same flexibility as the wiimote has, but I don't think there's any comparison in terms of what they actually do do. And the virtual console is awesome. It's just too bad about the lack of online support. Nintendo's entry into online gaming is pretty pathetic.
  16. Impressions from the new Ace of Aces map (which is mission 1 - same story, but seemingly vastly changed gameplay) for Ace Combat 6 Re: new co-op map
  17. Well, first of all, I'd need to get a PC, so shrug.
  18. .... Well, thanks. Thanks for that.
  19. The right angle being a fairly narrow viewpoint. But it can be fun. We need the next game to redeem 4p co-op. In any case, Left 4 Dead will be awesome. I'm still unsure whether I'll get the 360 version or PC. It'll depends on whether the 360 version will allow guesting online. Otherwise, I might just get 2 copies on Steam instead.
  20. The demo boss was pretty cool. How's the rest of the game compared to the demo? (easy diff aside)
  21. Yeah, we did pretty good overall. Nice session. Try out the Ace Combat 6 and Rainbow Six Vegas demos.
  22. Gears 2 better have freaking party matchmaking.
  23. DID YOU JUST SAY 4-PLAYER CO-OP? OBSIDIAN, YOUR ALIENS GAME BETTER HAVE CO-OP TOO YOUR CEO COMMANDS IT
