  1. Pre-release, Bio kept constantly hyping about the 4 pillars of NWN - the toolset, the DM client, multiplayer, and the SINGLEPLAYER CAMPAIGN. They kept insisting that people who would buy the game for just that last part would be satisfied. They sure were.
  2. Some might say games like PST would never make it into the console market. But it didn't do that well in the PC market back then, anyhow. And I doubt it would do as good as then nowadays.
  3. What do YOU know? Fargoth was memorable.
  4. They're not going to officially remake Torment. That's just wishful thinking. The best you can hope is for some fans to group up and do it via the toolset.
  5. I suggest you send harrassing messages to Microsoft and Obsidian in the hopes that they'll listen and make a 360 port.
  6. Actually, a TORMENT 2 story *could* work. Play as The Nameless One as he finds a way to break out of the Blood Wars through EPIC spells, HEROIC feats of prowess, or STUNNING wit. Choose between good OR evil or anything in between, depending on the sum of money you ask for your quests. Take roleplaying to the NEXT level by being able to dictate the EXACT amount of gold you want. IMMERSION will be revolutionary, as the new 3D engine will allow you to see the FEAR in the orc's eye as you throw your eyeball into his lungs. To add to this immersion, the 3D engine will allow BLOOM technology, and realistic SOIL EROSION. A fully-dynamic clothing system will allow The Nameless One to have a free-flowing loincloth. Furthermore, The Nameless One will be voiced by Patrick Steward. All the game will be voice-acted, so that redundant reading will be unnecessary. All text has been removed from the game, correcting on the previous game's main flaws. No more will you be hindered by endless text or the tyranny of choice. No, YOU are The Nameless One. What will be your destiny?
  7. Morrowind with Klingons. That would be hot.
  8. Welcome to every JRPG ever made! If there's someone remotely priest-like, he's a baddie.
  9. By so many other CRPGs, you mean Bioware CRPGs
  10. 500,000 isn't bad by a long shot. I'd rather sell less but still pretty well and have my own IP, personally.
  11. you know, they MIGHT just hit a home run with it. nobody thought BioWare could create a true SW CRPG but they did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They might, but I don't care enough about Fallout to care about Bethesda. None of the Fallout games would even make my top 10. Not enough incentive to invest into a Bethesda RPG. I wouldn't trust Peter Molyneux to make Fallout 3 either, no matter how the industry or other gamers would praise it. Different tastes. I have enough games to look forward to not need to be worked up about one from a company whose games I don't enjoy. I'd say that's fair enough. Jagged Alliance 3 doesn't mean much at this point, either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Zuxxez (Topware) has the licence to both JA and SC, they r not moving anywhere yet <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Erm, StrategyFirst owns JA right now. They hired Mistland to do JA3D and JA3 before (NOT good devs). JA3 suddenly disappeared, so Mistland is only doing JA3D right now. The franchise in and of itself doesn't really mean much at this point.
  12. NWN2 doesn't have a toolset, or 3.5 rules. .... or does it? *wink wink*
  13. I think my contribution was constructive. I expressed the opinion that a good company like Bethesda would make a fine game out of Planescape 2. I'm sorry I can only state my opinion, but I don't know any facts about Planescape 2. All I know is that if Bethesda + Planescape =
  14. What is Fallout? Screw Fallout, it's just the name of a dead franchise. If I were you, I'd be more open-minded and give it a try, perhaps viewing it more as a Bethesda game than as a 'Fallout game'. Indeed, if I were you, and like Bethesda games, I'd probably get Fallout 3. Only I'm not, and I don't, so I won't. My point still remains, though
  15. You bought DOA Xtreme Volleyball for the Xtreme Volleyball, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?
  16. I don't want Bethesda to do Fallout 3, but if it's Planescape 2 then that's ok. This could be grreat
  17. You're asking the wrong crowd, though. By frequenting a gaming forum, we're relatively well-informed about our games. I wouldn't be surprised if such tactics did work on the casual crowd. It's being used as a marketing tactic for a reason after all.
  18. Hopefully a good company like Bethesda will pick it up.

  20. The thing is, it wouldn't matter if the game was "good". Morrowind is "good". Oblivion will be "good" and win RPG of the Year from every magazine and website out there. Fallout 3 *will* probably be "good" too. But that doesn't mean much in this day and age. Hey, most people may like it, just not my type of games. I didn't like Morrowind. To the point where that's pretty much the last Bethesda RPG product I'll ever buy. They may or may not make good games depending on who you ask, but I'm staying away from their RPGs. Fallout 3 will not be missed by me, just mocked relentlessly.
  21. In conclusion, I believe Star Trek games may either be very good or very very bad.
