Left 4 Dead 2
That reminds me of Killing Floor. One thing L4D needs is to have zombies eat your corpse when you die.

New information, some of everyone's questions answered!
Plenty of current console games have save-everywhere features.

FO: NV
without being a part of the Obsidian team...i feel like i can almost guarantee that FO:NV will be more of a PC port than a console port (if you get my meaning). Bet your life on it. Otherwise your little guarantee means nothing. NOTHING!

Just Cause 2
No, it won't. You'll just complain about the kiddy story and Dragonball graphics and then rant about how you're getting another PS3 for the next Metal Gear Stupid.

I think Hades should get the death penalty, imo.

I don't see why this couldn't be an expansion pack, really.

That's not much of a stand. At least you made an angry thread about it.

BREAKING NEWS: VALVE SELLS OUT
I *know*. If they at least added some community mods or something, it might be worthwhile. In its current state, this just feels like a cash-grabbing rip-off.

BREAKING NEWS: VALVE SELLS OUT
ROFLASMGKASJGKASHGKA This is completely hilarious. I was browsing the internet looking for new versions of Left 4 Dead to buy. Look what I stumble onto: LEFT 4 DEAD GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION What is it? It's basically just Left 4 Dead. But wait, there's more! It also includes two new Versus maps and a brand new Survival mode. Well, that's great! Only - wait, this is the funny part - this is already included as a *FREE* patch for the vanilla game. To add insult to injury, they have the gall to charge you - the gamer - 10$ more than the vanilla game. That's right, advertising the game as brand new, adding in FREE content, and then charging 10$ more for it. I've had enough of developers hyping all kinds of BS, when it's actually nothing new at all. There is absolutely NOTHING new about L4D GOTY edition, and there is absolutely nothing to warrant charging full retail price AND 10$ on top of that, except for the hype the developers have been creating for this shovelware version. They could have just sticked to the original. Do we really need this? The patch updates can be downloaded anytime from the official site and the Survival mode is already included in the free patch (they can thus be ignored). We have been waiting for a sequel for some time now, and all they have been doing is milking the same game again and again. Common, this is just a patch and a new mode (which could be crappy by the way). Does this justify a re-release? Certainly not. I admit that the original patch did add to the game but this thing is just worthless and not even worth the hype (yes, they are hyping this as a something new, but it isn't anything extraordinary - after all, IT IS THE EXACT SAME PATCH). As some people have stated on the Codex thread, the company may be doing this just to avoid seeing the game fall in the bargain bin. I find this whole commercial move to be ridiculous, and it is time they move on to a new project. Most of the people interested in Left 4 Dead games have already bought or played the game, so I don't think this new version will have any significant impact on the company's sales. Left 4 Dead is reaching its end cycle and it's time for a sequel...

Witcher enhanced edition bis
I was pretty pissed off when Bioware released all their various shovelware versions of NWN as well. I mean, vanilla NWN was okay. I then got SoU; a good deal for an xpac! They then released the gold version. I bought it, but felt a bit ripped off, since it only had NWN and SoU in it. I was pretty happy with HotU, since that was actually new content. NWN Diamond was kind of disappointing as well, since all they did was bundle NWN and the two xpacs together. I forgave them when they released the DLC modules. I bought them all individually, and they weren't overly expensive. When I found they were re-releasing the game + xpacs + DLC modules together, that was the last straw. I've had with companies rereleasing the same game every year with little to no new content, and then sell it off as a new game in order to garner a few extra sales. Bioware should eat Hades and die. At least another company had enough sense to start making a sequel to the series, rather than just rehashing the same crap over and over again. They might as well call it Left 4 Dead 2.

Left 4 Dead 2
Bet your life on it. Buying it for 5$ isn't really a boycott, it's called selling out.

It's a free patch. Boohoo. Go back to the tutorial, ramza.

Left 4 Dead 2
It'll be full price. It's pretty easy to sign a petition or join a steamgroup. They should bet their account or life on it. Unless Steam tracks down and bans any people who've joined the group at any point and end up having L4D2 anyway, it's a pretty meaningless signature. Heck, someone should fake their death.

E3 developer walkthrough video
Marketing certainly isn't doing a good job at it. Hey guys, here's footage of Thorton sneaking around and shooting people, then getting close and punching them! LOL that has horrible animations, the sneaking and shooting looks stupid LMAO! You guys don't get it - it's a RPG; btw, here's more footage of Thornton shooting and sneaking and punching! The shooting and sneaking and punching actually looks pretty bad. It's a RPG - you don't get it, man, you don't get it. Prove it. AP's not going to sell itself. I don't remember Deus Ex having this problem.

"It"s a RPG lol" is a horrible defense. If you're going to show average stealth and combat in 90% of your videos, the comparisons will be made, and they will not be favorable. Don't try to mimic another genre (poorly) if you can't take the flak.

E3 developer walkthrough video
Well, honestly, SC already looks to have a major upper hand on this game from a gunplay/stealth/polish/production values perspective SC won't, however, have a non-Tom Clancy storyline written by the Obs staff, nor will it have AP's (hopefully) awesome choice & consequence. It's really too bad, with the games being released in a narrow timeframe, since AP will get an unfavorable comparison next to SC in those areas. However, they chose to make the actual gameplay action/stealth-oriented, so they either need to up their game or take the flak for it. Unfortunately, I have a feeling the game will be treated as the poor man's action/stealth game. It needs to expand beyond that and offer lots more tactical options, starting with lots of wacky gadgets. Lockpicking/hacking minigames doesn't inspire much, either. I don't think the game deserves a free pass 'because' it's an RPG, and should be called out for having substandard gameplay if that's what it ends up having. Then again, that's exactly what Mass Effect managed, and people are excited about ME2, so we'll see how people receive AP. Obs needs to show off the RPG/C&C elements more, otherwise they WILL draw negative comparisons to SC, or other weird ones I've heard, like Uncharted 2 and Call of Duty and Gears of War :/ Show more dialogue, more character interaction, more branching C&C, more warring factors. Stop showing Thornton sneaking around in his silly crouching animation and shooting things and playing minigames.

E3
Well, E3 so far is turning out to be fairly okay-ish. Nothing major, but some announcements I don't mind. Halo ODST with a co-op firefight/horde mode is going to be pretty neat. L4D2 is a-okay in my book. Crackdown 2 might be good, depending. That's about it from the co-op side. On the Sony side, there wasn't really anything. FFXIV as an MMO is hahahhahahaha. From Nintendo, there's really only Golden Sun. I'd be pretty interested in NSMBWii, SMG2 and Metroid Other M or whatever if I had a Wii. None of those are pushing me closing towards owning one, though. Some other cool stuff, but already known about, so no huge surprises. Maybe I'm missing some new announcements, but if I can't even remember them now, I guess I don't really care about them that much.
