I believe it was an expanded version of the same engine yes. I like the fact that it had coop mode....but alas by the time I had played it I had already played games like Half-Life and was pretty much done with my conversion back to PC Gamer. The split screen just didn't work for me anymore

Nothing odd about it. It's not a content patch, and just changes some frivolous details to the game IMO.

I never got to play PD, since it needed the memory pack.

I enjoyed the pilot of Family Dad, but I find the idea is just the same. Random Episode with the funny being in the flashbacks.

You should never have made the reference to any of those posts then, lest you get dragged into it. We were just having some fun related to the subject at hand. If you have an idea you'd like to see, just post it. The reason why there's 3 pages of "back patting" is because we were trying to decide what would be good in the game. Pretending to actually create the game is simply a means of actually expressing the things you'd like to see in the game, since you're going to put stuff into your game that you'd like to see. We were having a discussion and were comparing contrasting ideas, shaping our ever-evolving idea of what we would like to see in the game.

I think I really enjoy the show, because I get exactly what I expect out of it. I loved that one where they tried to teach Quagmire to control his "manly" desires.

I've always wondered about why a graphics manufacturer would make a chip so powerful as the console manufacturers claim to be, and yet NOT release it for PC, where people seem to be more than willing to shell out over $1000 on an SLI configuration.

Well, it's a comparison between console shooters and PC shooters. So mentioning the l33t PC shooters puts you in a particular camp I think :D

Coop in Quake 3? I never cared for Quake 3, because it was an MP only game. As a result, any mods that would have been made for it would have been completely ignored. I was to engaged in Half-Life as well to probably really care. I also didn't care much for Quake. I much preferred Duke Nukem 3D which had a lot of atmosphere and humour, and a bit more coherent and interactive of a game IMO. I never cared much for the Quake games...but hopefully Quake IV will be more up to my liking. I did play Doom 6 years later MP in our computer lab....but we also played Quake MP which is a lot better. Although a friend of mine got me playing Duke Nukem Coop with him...and we've just finished Episode 3 :D Just have the new Episode IV, which I actually never played before.

My top 3 FPS games would likely be Half-Life, Deus Ex, and Half-Life 2. Honorable mention goes to Call of Duty.

I enjoyed Doom because it was unlike anything I had every really experienced before. Plus my cousin had a serial link so we'd connect our computers and play DM or Coop. Fun fun fun.

Hmmmmmmmm..... Meh, I'll probably still get it despite the shortcomings you mention. Every game experience allows for additional ideas for my game :D

I wonder if once a month is too long of a time span. Establishing a narrower timespan would help it become routine.

Tsk Tsk. Maybe the model is way way way way better? :D Sometimes a story could revolve around a male protagonist....but somehow I doubt this is the case.

Did it get cut? I wonder if it was too demanding on the art resources. Still, even Ultima allowed for different sex Avatars (although I believe this disappeared towards the end of the series).
