  1. I would looooooooooooooove a multiplayer campaign mode.
  2. Well, only in the sense that MW has a ton of gameplay but characters and story aren't so great. SO if you are into gameplay I think you will find MW a very rewarding and involving game. If you are into story and vivd characters you probably won't. Dooesn't make one better than the other, but the oppostion is pretty clear even from th emajority of posts in this thread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Err, I don't know if Morrowind is really all that involving gameplay wise either. It seems to be limited to exploring, attacking (through normal weapons or magic), and talking to NPCs. I like stories because they complement good gameplay so well. When your decisions as a character affect interesting people, it adds so much to the gameplay because it makes you put so much thought into your gameplay decisions. Stories aren't just reserved for books, and they've been a part of computer games (especially RPG games) for over two decades.
  3. Thanks. I was curious about that. I wasn't aware of a script importer, though that does make things nice if it automatically converts your scripts.
  4. Where'd you find time to play through a game like Vampire pretty much twice?
  5. You sir, deserve a cookie! Unfortunately I don't have one. I think people care too much about the bonuses. I mean...really....do we need any MORE help defeating the bad guys? The game isn't exactly hard.
  6. IIRC, you can get influence points with many people if you team them up with Kreia. Do something evil, they'll get upset, and Kreia will explain why it's an excellent decision, and you'll gain influence with them.
  7. I think the game kind of suffers from too many joinable NPCs. And since he couldn't become a Jedi, it made choosing him even harder IMO. I think it would have been neat if there were more situations where an NPC would only be with you for a short time. I mean, GOTO joining you was weak weak weak.
  8. Hehe I figured someone would post that. What awareness on the ice. I hope he wins the Calder, and I think he's impressing enough that the media won't just shoo-in it to Mr. Crosby. I think Ovechkin's flair helps him, as it brings a ton of attention to him. I wonder if Sid's production will be affected with the loss of Sir Ziggy
  9. At least Fallout 2 was a bit more varied. I was never really able to play BG through more than once. I had tried numerous times, but struggled. I was able to play through BG2 three times though.
  10. Well, it will definitely appeal to the faster paced RTS crowd. To be honest I would have preferred if things were a bit slower in the game all around. Perhaps something for me to mod for myself I could see myself getting it when the price drops, because it's Star Wars and I can build Death Stars and watch Darth Vader own X-Wings.
  11. In other news, does Alexander Ovechkin score any ugly goals???
  12. I like the idea behind the galactic map, and I think things are a little more straightforward than Rebellion. Though, I didn't really hate Rebellion as much as others. Though it did have me building fleets of Star Destroyers and whooping ass....so my objectivity is already gone I love the space battles.....the ground battles are what I'm less than thrilled with. I also like the idea about how technology is handled, and how they tried to bring out the differences between the two factions. Rebellion was just the same thing with slightly different units on both sides.
  13. It's frustrating, because from what I can understand...during our 3 game losing streak we actually still played pretty well.
  14. I didn't see you come in while editing " There's always the official website.
  15. Haha....hopefully a Sportsnet is still on at 1 so I can see this. In other news, hopefully ol' Cap'n Crunch continues to use his new found scoring touch. Peca certainly seems to be more active offensively. Wouldn't mind seeing him threaten the 50 point mark. I like him on the point of the PP2 unit. He doesn't have the most accurate of point shots, but there's also some assurance that we still have an effective defensive player up there. I know often when a forward is on that point, it makes a team more vulnerable to shorthanded odd man rushes. Speaking of odd-man rushes while short-handed....remember that 3-on-1 the Oilers had against Chicago? Who gets a 3-on-1 short handed?
  16. I'll admit that any opportunity to send waves of X-Wings against a Star Destroyer does take away from my objectivity
  17. Apparently there's a school of thought that there's many creative people out there that don't know how to program, but could make better video games than the current programmers Like people with BA's in art with theatre minors "
  18. How many goals got taken away???
  19. Who's the guy that Deus Ex Machina'd Ryu in the second one?
  20. Yeah. That's why I was kind of surprised. I didn't know Marcel was a King. Must have been one a long time then. I hear we won in the shootout! Did you see the game?
  21. I don't mind the toolset a whole lot. The big problem is scripting. The internship that I'm working on is using NWN and NWScript as a tool to expand the idea of content creation for people who don't have programming skills. The program is ScriptEase and you can find info on it here It takes a bit of getting used to, and it's far, far, far from complete. You can deal with tons of interactions with objects and triggers and whatnot. We're currently exploring patterns in other areas as well, such as ambient behaviours and stuff. The idea is to create easily adaptable patterns from a (relatively) simple interface without having to punch in code. They also use it in tons of sociological studies with alternative forms of creative expression and stuff like that. It's really neat I'm curious to see how well it works with NWN2, as in theory the scripting is fully backward compatible with the version of NWScript that exists in the original game. Depending on when it comes out, I wonder if a job on my plate is to port it to NWN2 :D
  22. He didn't already have that record? I'm kind of surprised!
  23. Hey, it's not like the rest of us immediately assume the worst with the Gabrielle NPCs we meet up with
  24. At the endgame though, the Killmatic with Firearms 10 is just too much fun. The McKlusky (Desert Eagle) is good too, for its high ROF, good damage, and fast reload.
