  1. No, because then I couldn't get a job there until the development of personal teleporters. Heck, they're big enough, open branches in Vancouver AND Montreal. It just makes sense to open one in Vancouver considering how many 3d art and game development schools are here. Plus we have the big EA Canada campus here that apparently has people quitting all the time. We have too much talent, not enough jobs for them all over here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You could say the same for Austin, Texas. I think that the "people quitting all the time" from EA Canada in Vancouver is also overstated, based on the talks I have had with people that work with them.
  2. What do you mean "if they take away casual piracy?" It's effectively already gone. Especially if you take the context that I was using it in (which I think you are since you quoted the text).
  3. Yes. Three different attack types, with a corresponding defense type.
  4. Are PC Gamer and PC Gamer UK actually owned an operated by the same people? Besides, the "bribes" comment is a poke against Kalfear.
  5. Oh dear. No kids. Well, I don't see how this could have gotten 93%. Oh wait yes the Bribes.
  6. Given the MMO status, it would certainly be more surprising than any of the other platform permutations.
  7. I find the world rather devoid of open-minded rational people.
  8. I guessed the twist too. If you haven't seen the first one though, it'd be much harder to predict though.
  9. Yeah, but we're talking about Judge Hades, not Hades
  10. No news on the license or setting is there?
  11. Your ships still fight each other based on their strengths and weaknesses. There are various armor types that are stronger against various weapons. Shields stop beam weapons, Armor stops mass drivers, and point defense stops missiles.

I think that entirely understates the effectiveness of the rest of the team. I don't see Jagr being so good, with Lundqvist, that the contributions of the rest of the team are entirely moot. I find hockey to be one of the better "team games" out there where a few people can carry a team.

I'd be more of a mind to say that the Rangers are struggling because the team is struggling.

I certainly haven't noticed that. Besides, line 3 is typically THE checking line for most teams.
  15. No more than you, since you mentioned Lou before I did.
  16. I'd suspect the fate of ME2 is still very dependant on the fate of ME1, which is why I don't typically consider it "announced." More of an expressed interest.

Which is why I stated that IF Ovechkin's performance had them missing the playoffs by one game. I think it's just as easy to have a difficult time determining how the Rangers would be doing without Jagr.

I have never really agreed with that school of thought. I mean, if Joe Thornton had players of my calibre playing in every position around him, and he just barely missed the playoffs, then that would probably qualify as an MVP.....especially seeing as it'd literally be a one man team. Though I'm not saying that that is the case in San Jose. Just using an example. If Ovechkin's performance had them miss the game by one playoff spot, I think he should still have serious contention for MVP.
  19. I'm sure it was because Bethesda's being bribing everyone
  20. I'd bet on it being Jade 2, as they would naturally have more time to think about it compared to a Mass Effect 2. I'm sure they'd like to make sure that ME1 is fully sorted out before announcing ME2.

It was a game of special teams. Bad discipline by the Oilers though...yeesh. Roloson is still finding his groove, but I think he's playing better. 3 games in 4 nights on a new team. Have fun :D
  22. 1) I wish I could comment about. 2) Definetely not. 3) Just a second, before anyone gets the wrong impression here. In a game that is the scope and scale of Oblivion, there are bound to be bugs. Lots of bugs. In TINY games, there will always be bugs. Comments like this leave the impression that Oblivion is riddled with bugs and show-stoppers. This is entirely untrue. Just a stray fact to consider before purchasing: Oblivion made it through Microsoft certification in its first pass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it makes you feel any better, I typically consider polish to be little things and not just bugs. So I didn't consider it to be a negative
  23. I enjoyed Saw 2. Certainly feel bad for some characters And I really enjoyed Collateral too. Tom Cruise as a bad guy was great.
