I'd be more of a mind to say that the Rangers are struggling because the team is struggling.

I certainly haven't noticed that. Besides, line 3 is typically THE checking line for most teams.

No more than you, since you mentioned Lou before I did.

I'd suspect the fate of ME2 is still very dependant on the fate of ME1, which is why I don't typically consider it "announced." More of an expressed interest.

Lou told me.

Which is why I stated that IF Ovechkin's performance had them missing the playoffs by one game. I think it's just as easy to have a difficult time determining how the Rangers would be doing without Jagr.

I have never really agreed with that school of thought. I mean, if Joe Thornton had players of my calibre playing in every position around him, and he just barely missed the playoffs, then that would probably qualify as an MVP.....especially seeing as it'd literally be a one man team. Though I'm not saying that that is the case in San Jose. Just using an example. If Ovechkin's performance had them miss the game by one playoff spot, I think he should still have serious contention for MVP.

I'm sure it was because Bethesda's being bribing everyone

I'd bet on it being Jade 2, as they would naturally have more time to think about it compared to a Mass Effect 2. I'm sure they'd like to make sure that ME1 is fully sorted out before announcing ME2.

It was a game of special teams. Bad discipline by the Oilers though...yeesh. Roloson is still finding his groove, but I think he's playing better. 3 games in 4 nights on a new team. Have fun :D

1) I wish I could comment about. 2) Definetely not. 3) Just a second, before anyone gets the wrong impression here. In a game that is the scope and scale of Oblivion, there are bound to be bugs. Lots of bugs. In TINY games, there will always be bugs. Comments like this leave the impression that Oblivion is riddled with bugs and show-stoppers. This is entirely untrue. Just a stray fact to consider before purchasing: Oblivion made it through Microsoft certification in its first pass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it makes you feel any better, I typically consider polish to be little things and not just bugs. So I didn't consider it to be a negative

Movies You Have Seen Lately
I enjoyed Saw 2. Certainly feel bad for some characters And I really enjoyed Collateral too. Tom Cruise as a bad guy was great.

Starforce copy protection = winner
I am typically of the mind that we tend to be more tech savvy, and finding games is pretty easy for us. It isn't really a hard thing to do...as long as you have an idea on what you are doing. I think it's understated how effective "casual piracy" such as simply burning a CD after you buy a game and giving it to friends. Though I do think the increased popularity of P2P software for music is making this distinction less obvious, as people become more familiar with sharing files over the internet.

Slowly but surely...
I think a large issue is that people tend to be uncompromising with their performance and graphical fidelity. A game like Half-Life 2 can still be run on hardware from 5 years ago. Even with decent performance. You just won't have the graphical effects as someone that has a computer that is 1 year old. The funny thing is that games on the "Crap" quality today still look better than the older games on the best quality. Having said that, there is one thing that makes a 5 year gap problematic at the moment, and that was the evolution of the pixel shader. Some games do require pixel shaders (some people even get screwed over because the DX 9.0 PS implementation had a revamp shortly before the release of some graphics hardware at one point). The pixel shader seems to be the only deal breaker though. Though you could liken this to the impact that 3D accelerators had back in the day, where you could find games that required them.

Starforce copy protection = winner
I think this perspective is an easy one to take because we cannot see the perspective of the big business. The effectiveness of copyprotection goes far beyond the "well it gets cracked anyways" argument, and is pretty much a guess for anyone because any numbers that get shown from the corporation or copyprotectors is automatically dismissed, and AFAIK no "impartial" study has ever really been done. There's schools of thought based on theory, but the theory is typically only supported anecdotally.

If you bought it from Stardock, you should still be able to d/l the game and play it right now anyways.

Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday - New Interview
Yeah, you could give yourself a really good challenge by building up a country in a particular way, and then right before the conflict starts up, load up the other side. I've never tried the coop same country though. I can imagine it'd be very useful for many of the majors, as the UK has conflicts on the home front, as well as Africa and India. Germany has a two front war, as does the USA. It sucks to miss some action on one part of the world while you're taking care of the details of an offensive in the other part.

Hopefully Stardock can pursue legal channels against Starforce for this.

Whatever happened to F.E.A.R ?
What do you F.E.A.R. the most? The fear you know? The fear you don't know? Or the fact that Allan is going here?
