Bioshock interview @TTLG
I always figured it was a play on Biosphere, which is why I enjoyed the name.

A lead designer on PNJ became a NWN2 forum mod.
The issue with PNJ I think was the lack of a publisher. Might as well work on something that has the funding (Sega project)

The word tech brings KOTOR 2 questions! And probably NWN2 questions!

Is dual-screen more demanding on the GFX?
My boss wholeheartedly agrees. In fact, in a discussion with him, he feels that AI won't truly get a fair break unless a dedicated card and API is created. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm still not convinced on the benefits of AI middleware, but I've only ever coded AI first hand, have you used any middleware? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. The benefits, like the benefits of a graphics card, is that it frees up resources. People use the CPU for other things, and in the end, AI usually ends up getting the shortend of the stick.

Resumes and Cover Letters
I considered getting one with Bioware, though their placement started in May and I was offered a sure deal in January. It was an opportunity I couldn't refuse, though my eye was always on Bioware at the time.

BioWare on the 'Broken' Game Industry
Semantics. Though it doesn't follow the current naming convention. What axis does what is purely arbitrary. X and Y axes are typically the names given to the axes in two dimensional space. Besides, I don't even agree with your assessment. When you're looking at a 2D game layout, the "up and down" should be relative to the monitor. Unless you're trying to tell me that viewing a cartesian plane on a monitor, you label your horizontal axis the X-Axis, and your vertical Axis the Y axis. Imagine you are looking at the gaming board from the top.

I think a good geeky ringtone is the lack of any unique type of ring tone

Rome: Total Realism
Yup. At least I have certainly noticed it in my RTR PE game. Maybe there's more stuff for making squalor high. But even with low tax rates, most of my 20000 population places have growth rates of 0.5% or 1% Sometimes even with a negative squalor governor too (and certainly not with any squalor increasing traits...I made sure to check for that). When Roma was without a governor (he just died), my population growth rate (at 25k people) fell to -1%. And this is all with low taxes.
-
Rome: Total Realism
I need to build the farms to keep the population growth rate above zero.

Loading times typically do not exclude ALL hard drive activity, but rather that you are never taken out of the game or given a point of being unable to do any tasks. A game with "no loading times" may stutter when entering in a new area (as it starts loading the area into memory from the HD).

Tough Questions
I'm pretty sure physiology is not the correct word here. I think you're also making to sweeping of a generalization. Is it that farfetched that some people may actually think that the unborn fetus is now a human life, and should be protected like any human life? In any case, you're dodging the question I asked. Is it really still just the woman's body when there is an unborn fetus in the body. You're trying to blow the issue up, but that's not what I asked. You made a point about how you thought it was absurd that people felt they could "control" a woman's reproductive system, and I stated that some argue that they are no longer controlling just their own body. To which you replied (rather matter of factly) that it was, "end of discussion." Are they really just affecting their own body if they are pregnant? That's what I'm asking. I have said nothing about control over the reproductive systems of men and women.

Tough Questions
Are you saying a woman shouldn't have control over her own body while the man can just because of physiological differences? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's not what I asked or said in any way at all. I commented that "the argument is that they are no longer just affecting their own body." To which you replied "It is still their body. End of discusion." I'm not sure where I made any comments about whether or not woman should have control over her own body while the man can just because of physiological differences.
