  1. It could just be poorly marketted or something. Wouldn't be the first game that was good that went under the radar.
  2. Yes. I believe it was France saying "OMG The Netherlands are destroyed. Come save my precious France!" For the record, English and Spanish bombers did what they could. DOn't worry though...we'll liberate you
  3. This is correct. No. The Fallout RPG is what has those rules. Not the Fallout setting.
  4. I don't recall ever saying it's acceptable for a game to be complete junk. I'm saying it's acceptable for a game to use the same universe in a different genre. I never once said FOBOS was a good game and in any way justified. I'm saying you can't compare it to an RPG Fallout.
  5. Then that's your own fault. I'm sure there were plenty of people complaining the WoW wasn't an RTS
  6. That's just it. I have been buying games, and I don't recall them really being that expensive :\
  7. About to help France defend against Germany!
  8. I don't remember it being that expensive. But I didn't buy it when it came out either, so meh.
  9. If you played them expecting them to in any way mimic the original games that used the name, then I'd have to agree that that would be his fault.
  10. Nah, it's mostly search IMO.
  11. I don't see why. Especially if they are aiming at making it a cinematic experience.
  12. Though the previous 18 pages contained content about how Troika weren't following the rules, yet it seems they were. How many other ways can you rationalize this I'm done with this thread. You've clearly lost, and have essentially resorted to strawman (as the discussion never involved whether WoD werewolves were well implemented. They way you were bashing Troika for not following the WoD rules, I figured you actually knew the WoD rules, so I was taking your word for it. I wonder how much other PnP RPG stuff you have bluffed your way through). Continue on with the fingers in the ears screaming "Lalalala" if it makes you feel better.
  13. Hahaha, that's exactly what I was thinking of when you brought it up :D
  14. If you don't like the idea of the PC having full voice, then Mass Effect is not for you. That's just the way it is. If you're planning on having the PC have full voice, the explanation makes sense.
  15. THat's nice. THe world isn't like you.
  16. Not sure what your point is. I wasn't talking about the NPC dialogue.
  17. This isn't as common as we'd like to think.
  18. According to the Vampire rules, sounds like powerful, nearly invincible Werewolves exist. Sorry Hades.
  19. Errr, people won't skip what the NPCs say.
  20. That's another thing too. I was discussing it with my roommate (who, incidently, things the idea is great, because he's one of those people who doesn't care for extensive reading), and the first thing he said was "What's the point in having your character speak the line if you already know what he's going to say?"
  21. Well, IIRC Math Co-Processors used to be available via add on cards. Now they're just right on the chip. It's possible that something physics related could make its way on, especially if stuff like video technology is making its way on.
  22. Never faced Irenicus asylum without the inmates. Never bothered to try because any seasoned adventurer would know how to use good cannon fodder. Also one should know his enemies. If undead, healing spells kill. If fire based, use water and ice based magic. If a dragon, lower its magic resistance then pummel it with spells while the frontliners surround it to beat it down. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HAHAHAHAHAHAHA The defense mechanism you are using is rationalization. You see, any seasoned vampire newb knows to listen to vampire dudes that have saved your ass twice, are respected by friend and foe alike, that tell you the futility of fighting the werewolf, and how you should NOT do it. You may have been a "seasoned adventurer" and had the inmates, but it still doesn't change the fact that I had to have them, or Irenicus instantly killed me. Just like I was a "seasoned adventurer" and recognized that when my shots didn't hurt the enemy, I should probably do something else! So? It's still a gimmick. I suppose it's a "real combat situation" to apply healing and medication to an enemy in order to kill them. Especially when bashing their faces in works perfectly fine for every other case. And you complain about consistency.
  23. You want to talk about inconsistency....
  24. Because as far as I'm concerned, the words are still spoken. In terms of the story itself, the character is still saying the same words regardless of which implementation you use. Unless the words chosen are of extreme low quality (i.e. the nice option is "Okey d00d, I vill halp j00!" I don't think there will be ambiguity either, as I don't think we'll just have generic "Kill" responses. In the E3 preview, there was no option available that made me think "Hmmm, I wonder what that option is about." In fact, the responses still made sense given the context of the situation. In other words, the PC could have said specifically what was listed on the dial, and the context would still have made perfect sense. I think it has advantages. You just don't see those things as advantages. Unfortunately, the entire gaming market isn't Tigranes. I'm 100% ambivalent about the decision they made, but I can still see potential advantages. And besides, as far as I can tell, this game is going to be much more of the "Action RPG" type experience, rather than the "true RPG" experience. So IMO, to hold it accountable to a game type that it's not trying to be, is silly. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
  25. I have no idea. I'm certain the Mars people were, but it just seems like too many that would be THAT mean.
