So Fallout 3
A lot of people always like to gain levels and abilities.

Could the delay be content related?
We haven't really seen very much though. Are the hubs just safe houses? How much does Mike actually move around and interact with the area he is in outside of the combat heavy mission zones?

polanski
@Leet Numbers guy So you're on board with UHC then?

Could the delay be content related?
I agree that we don't know what the comment refers to. However, simply having the guy saying "Not RPG enough" doesn't mean that he has no experience with RPGs, as the "hardcore" RPG people say the same thing depending on the game. Given Mass Effect was stated as a comparison, that makes the most sense. Either that, or the commenter thinks Mass Effect is a horrible "RPG" and the comment was derogatory towards the amount of RPG in Alpha Protocol.

Could the delay be content related?
It seems to me it'd be exactly the same as if someone that DID NOT agree with Obsidian's interpretation of "what is an RPG" would be disagreeing with them. There's no "yet" at all. On this very board you'll get the "hardcore" authoratatively telling me that a game I consider to be a fine example of an RPG to be "not RPG enough." There definitely seems to be something, as Alpha Protocol is "top priority" according to that leaked release.

Could the delay be content related?
What does not rpg enough mean? Not enough like Oblivion? Who knows. It could mean not MOTB enough But based on what I have seen from the game, I wouldn't be surprised if the perception is that the game is more of an action game that has some variability due to dialogue. To be clear, I'm not worried about the "not RPG enough" comment, because I don't know exactly what that means.

Don't bury Alpha Protocol
As as recent student, this would NOT be a negative, as I'd actually have time to play the game. I tended to buy most of my games in line with the holiday times from school. Your other points can have merit too. Others will point to some games doing pretty well in the summer, due to the lack of competition (the recent one being Red Faction: Guerrillas)

Could the delay be content related?
I'd be more inclined tot hink it's content related from the aspect of "It's not RPG enough" than something like this. You never know though.

Exercise
I've done it before. I actually enjoy working out. I usually have something happen (like school or work) that tends to interfere then I get out of the routine. Then it's easy to convince yourself you don't have the time...while you sit there playing Empire: Total War for 2 hours >.>

Microsoft wants to buy.....EA?
I imagine shipped to retailers means that MS has gotten their money. The VGCharts could be lower due to it being POS sales. There's no shortage of sources that mention over a million sales for Mass Effect within its first month. A quote from: http://nexgenwars.com/gaming-news/general/...-3-at-5-million which quotes someone from Microsoft:

I have decided to not strictly follow your regime But as I start working out, I slowly go "I should do more" and next thing you know, I'm doing full effective exercises and am back in shape

I have added this to my lazy schedule. Soon I won't be lazy and doing more things

Microsoft wants to buy.....EA?
The total buyout includes Pandemic. Looking just at revenue, if a game sells for $60 and they sell a million copies, that's $60 million in revenue. I don't know how much development costs are for games now-a-days though so I can't comment how much of that would be pure profit, and there will be markups for the distribution of the game, so obviously EA won't make anywhere near $60 per copy of the game sold. In the first twelve months of release, Mass Effect sold roughly 1.4 million copies according to VGChartz. I'm guessing that is pretty solid profit there.

So, Is this game delayed or not?
What is GFWL?

Microsoft wants to buy.....EA?
It's an investment into capital. BioWare/Pandemic doesn't need to generate $800 million in profit in order for Electronic arts to have "made a profit." I doubt the valuation for them disappears.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Based on the videos it looks like you'll be able to take a bit more damage before dropping. It might be less realistic, but I also might find it more fun I like the hardcore mode they showed on their website though. It disables the entire HUD, leaving you with just you, your squad, and your map.

Games you are looking forward to
CitiesXL? Since I refuse to google it, you must enlighten me. Even if it's with a link you find on google

So, Is this game delayed or not?
At least it wasn't to a Rick Roll. I would have had to murrrrder you.
-
The TSLRCM thread
Well, the fact that that one requires you to win is a good reason why it was cut haha.

Games you are looking forward to
How about Freelancer?

The TSLRCM thread
Hahaha. Maybe that was a good cut

NHL
I think he's only really interested in playing for Calgary. I think it was also because, on a personal level, he wanted to prove to himself he could still play the game. I won't dispute it was for some media attention.
-
NHL
Well, he's officially stopping his career in pro Hockey. I have no issues with it.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
I really enjoyed the first one up until where they made you squad leader. That made it freaking complicated haha. I wouldn't mind if they toned down the intensity a bit, though while still remaining true to the realism aspects.

Americans set to get standardised/universal healthcare
Also true.
