  1. I found this comment particularly insightful. Cheers.
  2. Obsidian: Not much since Sega was paying the bills for it for the most part. Its the publishers dime you are spending not the developers generally. Bioware: Nothing since Bioware is now a arm of EA, it cost EA not Bioware. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a lot of costs absorbed by BioWare during the development of DA. Whether or not those costs were taken care of during the buyout, I can't really say.
  3. Through looting and stealing stuff, I at one point maxed out at 250g or so (this ignores the fact that I actively purchased things throughout my playthrough).
  4. I heard about someone trying to solo as a rogue on Nightmare, but heavily utilizing the combat stealth to escape from combat.
  5. I think it's a bit dismissive to simply write off the people that are stating "Zzzzzz" as kids, so I have to agree in large part with my kitty loving friend. However, my interest in this is low at the moment, because most of my interest is focused on SWTOR for MMORPG style games. Hopefully it pans out.
  6. Alistair and Wynne are pretty clearly 'good'. Their behaviour and opinions match that of the 'good' party members we've seen in Bio, Obsid and BIS RPGs over the last decade. The likes of Leliana and Sten are more ambiguous, and Alistair is hardly Carth, but it's a fair call to make I think. I think they still do a good job of sticking to their convictions though. Wynne retaliates at the Urn, Alistair doesn't. There's a fair bit of times that Alistair doesn't mind a whole lot if you do more evil things, I assume because he's understanding of what it takes to fight the blight as a Grey Warden. Trained as a Templar though, he'll have issues with things like using Blood Magic. Alistair supports you being heroic, but doesn't mind if you do unheroic things a lot of the time. He's mostly indifferent. On the whole, Leliana is pretty "good" too, but they often have their rationalizations for the odd circumstances. Wynne definitely fits the "good" one the tightest, IMO, though I'm surprised that she's okay with the scene I'm describing. Maybe because it involves a Templar. I don't remember her dialogue.
  7. I think this is the misconception. People seem have already pigeon holed the party members as goodie goodie and evil. For instance, there's a way to gain some approval with Leliana by agreeing to the request of a desire demon, and it's hardly a "good" choice. So? This isn't really required in order to enjoy VO. People like VO. You could argue it creates a more cinematic experience, which I definitely enjoy. It doesn't have much to do with quality of dialogue at all IMO.
  8. What do you mean?
  9. I'm sure that's the case for most people that don't listen to full VO as well. Though I find even with subtitles on, I still listen to the dialogue.
  10. VO is really important to a lot of people IMO. My roommate specifically says he has a hard time getting into RPGs with a lot of dialogue to read but no VO. In fact, unless I'm in a rush, I wholeheartedly prefer to listen to full VO myself. I found it really hard to get into Anarchronox, because I had become used to games with full VO. Even games like Baldur's Gate which had some lines VO'd, made me wish more lines were VO'd. I think a large part of the people that get huge play times are people that listen to full VO. I also saw a review for DA that commented on the disappointment of a lack of VO for the protagonist (and even disappointment that it went back to the text list for conversations, instead of the dialogue wheel from Mass Effect). Full VO gets a big from me.
  11. Hasn't CTRL-F to find text been pretty common in web browsers? I guess I just learned it a long time ago so it's a common enough command that when I want to find something it's the first thing I try.
  12. Ah, so they allowed (most) access to new units?
  13. Eeep! I just have the standalone game Or can Brits be played still? It sounds like you have a more leet version than me.
  14. Is this different than SP? I don't find rangers that invincible haha. I should get in some skirmish games before facing off against Monte haha
  15. COD is still built upon the Q3 engine?
  16. Dedicated servers? And more importantly, fully working rogues!?
  17. I thought that even before you linked to his MW2 page!
  18. I don't generally feel that the overall quality of movies has changed much since then. Maybe a bit on the decline, if only because there's so much more out there. Nostalgia will start to prop up both of the movies I mentioned more and more too.
  19. I should have quoted it!!! Whoa! Your mod edit doesn't even say that there was an edit!
  20. FFS I patched the game to 2.101 and now every time I load it there's another patch ahhahahaha
  21. You spelled Yahtzee wrong for this thread, and at the end of the other thread
  22. Ah yes, Hades_One
  23. Yup. He used to be Hades. It was something before "Judge Hades" IIRC, and Visceris before that.
  24. I haven't had an opportunity to try any of the mods. Perhaps it's something to do with Shale being a DLC character?
  25. Hmmmm, Outside of finding an old drive, I'm about run out of possible solutions. The only other thing I can think is to try swapping out the DVD/CD drive if you can find a spare, finding another copy of the install discs (I did for myself with KOTOR 1. My original Disc 1 stopped working, so I picked up a second copy of the game which let me use the faulty disc 1 to pass the CD Check), or try seeing if the game runs on someone else's computer.
