  1. I wasn't expecting it to change!
  2. Was waiting for someone to bring that up.
  3. That's what they did in BG2. Unfortunately someone didn't flag Dragon's Lair's as a place where chat shouldn't happen.
  4. I would not at all be surprised if CC was of the utmost importance on Nightmare.
  5. As simple as what? How exactly should banter be disabled?
  6. Actually I don't think it'd be that simple at all. I know we as fans always love options, but fans ask for this sort of stuff all the time without realizing that it's not just a simple piece of code to implement (even though they often "help" us by sending us pseudo code). I haven't looked around in the code too much, but I'm not aware of any hooks whatsoever that would exist to make this feasible. Even if it was implemented from the start, I think it'd probably be more trouble that it'd be worth. I think it's at a healthy balance right now.
  7. I think it's only used as a story mechanic.
  8. Perhaps he's teaching the assassin specialization?
  9. This thread is gold.
  10. I loathed the random timer in Baldur's Gate 2. Though BG2 suffered from the part that I couldn't instigate dialogue as well. But it was always absurd when two NPCs would decide to have a spat right as we walked into a dragon's lair. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.
  11. I don't know what the reasoning is behind a lot of the decisions in VTM. It would seem I always equated the Glam to Dominate.
  12. I'd probably go with D3. D2 captivated me more than Oblivion did.
  13. I'm a big fan of sleep, in combination with Horror and Waking Nightmare. Sleep has a huge area of effect and is wonderful at incapacitating enemies.
  14. I don't think about him at all. He has an axe to grind and uses his movies to do it. That is his God given, Constitutionally guranteed right. If someone goes to see them than they are entertained thats fine with me. I will not watch them though. The difference between me and some others around here is I don't think he should be deprived of his forum simply because I don't like what he has to say. And I won't deny anybody their right to speak out against people like Beck (or Moore or anyone else).
  15. In Redcliffe, there's a trigger down the stairs from the windmill, as well as across a short footbridge near the blacksmith's place.
  16. I can understand that, but why the distinction between the skills in V:tM. If it was glamming, wouldn't it be a single skill? "Torie" ability? Are you referring to the Ventrue's ability to use its domination magic in game? (note, my google isn't helping me look up glam )
  17. I think you're overreacting given the comment that someone thought that Beck would make a great professor, and someone else disagreed. Ignoring the biased clips posted in this thread, Beck does NOT strike me as a scientist and, based on the people you compared him too, would NOT be a very good professor, no matter how brilliant he may be.
  18. This guy has been on the air for 10+ years, has written four books and had a two year stage show/lecture tour. It is a little quick to judge that based on 12 minuites of Youtube footage taken without the context of his whole show. That's why I said those two links. I didn't actually pass judgment on him. However, it would seem as though Mr. Beck is guilty of the same thing, that is, judging people based on small parts of footage without showing the audience the entire context. At least in the examples given. It's one thing to say "his politcs are not their politics," but the picking and choosing of the Mao Tse Tung stuff was pretty appalling. That's the type of **** that Michael Moore does, and I certainly don't like Michael Moore. A quick question though. What's your thoughts on Michael Moore? I certainly wouldn't hold it against you if you hated him, but it seems you're okay with someone like Moore, as you just realize that his politics are not your politics?
  19. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
  20. I agree!
  21. I was under the impression that vampires as sexy didn't really exist until the Victorian era. If the seduction skill was just symbolizing Glam, wouldn't that mean that it, intimidate, and persuasion should have just been consolidated into one?
  22. If anyone does take one for the team, make sure to post feedback!
  23. Point taken
  24. I was wondering what that episode of South Park was making fun of haha.
  25. Thousands of years of vampire lore have vampires being able to seduce virtually any human?
