  1. Thanks for the screenshots, Indira. The camp system looks like an improved version of the one in Realms of Arkania 2. So that's what it should be like to me.
  2. Funny. All of a sudden I've lost all interest in Star Control III. Maybe it'll come back once a court has decided who owns the rights now. Maybe I'll get it for an apple and an egg by then, so Star Dock won't earn anything from me buying it anyway. Maybe.
  3. I've read several previews on the website of the German gaming magazine Gamestar. And each preview has hyped me more. This game has the potential to be brilliant. -The combat seems to have Baldur's Gate flair. Nothing outstanding, but it's nice. -If you don't want to manage everything about your growing kingdom yourself, you can delegate a lot of tasks to your followers. Every choice has a different outcome, as every companion has a different personality and their own way of handling things. There will still be events where the king or queen has to be present, though. -You won't get every subquest served on a silver platter. Sometimes you only get hints that something's going on and have to investigate on your own behalf. -When your party's camping, you can assign chores like cooking or standing guard to your party members. Of course your guards won't be as well rested as the others the next morning, but if you don't put up any guards at all, you might be in for surprises. That's giving me Realms of Arkania flashbacks. -There will be several endings, based on your choices throughout the game. And the best thing is, if they don't change the requirements too much, even my old computer will be able to run it.
  4. I'm glad I can wait until they're done with the patches and decide then if I still want it. I just don't understand why they've rushed it out now. This month is full of RPG releases. They could have had a better start if they had waited another month or two. Now they have to compete with Pathfinder: Kingmaker, InSomnia, the next PoE II DLC, and at least two jrpgs. I don't get it. Who made this decision?
  5. Lamplight City is good. But I'm afraid I've messed up already. Well, new case, new chance.
  6. What? But I've never even finished the first one.
  7. Surprise: The unofficial Wizardry sequel Wizards & Warriors has been released on GoG. Who'd have thought? Not me. That game has upset me forever. First, I didn't get into that weird real time turn based combat mix. In my next attempt, I got into it just fine, but my computer broke down the very next morning. The third try failed due to the games' weird hardware requirements. I wonder if I should give it another go. For now, I've just wishlisted it.
  8. Back to School Sale on GoG. Have fun.
  9. Still Unforeseen Incidents after some nice guy has helped me past the buggy puzzle. But Unavowed is already waiting.
  10. So the game is cheating.
  11. Unforeseen incidents. That radio puzzle's driving me nuts. When I get the frequency right, a cutscene's supposed to start. Unforetunately, the controlls for this puzzle are the opposite of precise. Either I just don't get it right, or I'm the only person who's suffering a plot stopper here. That's so frustrating.
  12. Yeah. I wish they'd just use the universe to tell someone else's story. That would be awesome. You know what really bothers me about rebooting old stuff with a PoC cast? It's a hand-me-down. As if PoC actors weren't good enough to get new franchises. Same goes for comics, and I don't even read those. I'm more of a cartoon person.
  13. Has anybody already posted this?
  14. I'm currently switching between Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and the 3rd season of iZombie. I just need some lighter entertainment at the moment, because the book I'm reading (Orphan Train) is so sad.
  15. I've finished The Alienist. Those last two episodes were intense. Now I have to decide what I watch next. Probably something less dark? I can't decide. Any suggestions?
  16. RPGs: -Cyberpunk 2077 -Pathfinder: Kingmaker -Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones (Have a look at the demo, guys. You're going to love this one. Complex character creation, multiple quest solutions, turn based combat, and Lovecraft's characters as party members. What's not to love? I'm so hyped!) -The Bard's Tale IV -InSomnia -Starfield -TES VI Classic Adventures -Asylum -Blackenrock -The Mystery of Oak Island -Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure -Unavowed -A Little Less Desperation Action Adventures -Tunic -Beyond Good & Evil 2 Others -My Time at Portia -Two Point Hospital There are a lot more, like Black Geyser, or Corven, but these are my most expected ones.
  17. That wasn't t he curse. That was just my country's team playing terrible. So, who do I cheer for now?
  18. Be still my heart. German private TV channels have started an initiative called "Screenforce" to get some audience back. *reads plans* *tosses remote over her shoulder right into the trash can, as she's heading for the door* If anyone wants me, I'm buying some season boxes of American, Britsh and general international TV shows of some reputation. Those plans are just dull, and partially even just pathetic. (Dear RTL, if your most interesting new show is about people building things with LEGO, you do have a serious problem.) And I don't even want think about what a certain channel will do with that reality TV show about terminally ill people. That channel is well known for contracts that don't agree with human rights, as enough their former victims have called them out for it. Not to mention the disgusting scripts, that make some people look like terrible beings, just to make the shows more interesting. And if people don't follow the scripts, they're punished with ruinous fines. Just the thought that this channel's going to work with terminally ill and probably already physically weakened people scares me to the bone. And those channels wonder why more and more people get rid off their TVs. Actually, I read sentences like "I don't even own a TV, because the program is just terrible" from young people on the internet, who have just moved out of their parents' place, very often these days.
  19. Which quest was it?
  20. Thanks, but I'll just rebuy it on Steam or GoG someday.
  21. I've never seen the whole ending of Septerra Core. The Game kept crashing early during the cutscene.
  22. If they Zenimaxx or Bethesda had it, they'd use it.
  23. Not me, that's for sure. It's a solid adventure game, but a terrible Monkey Island, because it's ignoring all the lore of the previous games.
  24. Awwwwww! What a cute doggie!
