  1. After some trial and error i managed to rework Druid Spiritshifting: 1. The Spiritshift Duration and Abilities scale with Power Level. 2. Spiritshift Weapons (except for Stormblight) are now Unarmed. One problem however remains: Spiritshifting disables the Unarmed Weapon Modal even though i changed the attack.gamedatabundle to Unarmed. The Question is: What am i missing? Thanks for your help! Here is the link to the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/213
  2. This small litte mod solves the problems of Devoted/Druid: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/213 As Spiritshift Weapons now count as unarmed they will recieve the full bonus from Devoted while still using Spiritshift damage tables. On top of that Spiritshift Duration and Abilities will now scale with Power Level. I never understood why Obsidian skipped that... Happy hunting!
  3. I have been playing around a bit - still without finishing the game... The bad thing: The endless DoT´s of Rogues (Gouging Strike) and Paladin (Brand Enemy) are just stupid and should be banned from any (naked) challenge. The good thing: I have written a mod regarding Druid Spiritshifting. @Reent you will love this one! It puts back the Spiritshift scaling with Power Levels and also modifies Spiritshift Weapons (except for Stormblight) to Unarmed. Say hello to Devoted/Shifter! You can find the mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/213/?tab=description Happy hunting!
  4. My mod-request regarding Druid Spiritshifting can be canceled as i have written the mod on my own (after some trial & error).
  5. I agree that the endless DoT´s are opening up a very cheesy path. But as you said yourself @Elizer: At the end of the day its up to the player. Create individual challenges and - not to forget - have fun playing your own unique adventure! If its no fun anymore: There are so many other great games out there - no? Have you ever tried a Solo+LoB+SCS No-Reload-Run (with restricted items) through the whole BG-Saga? Very funny!
  6. The game lacks challenge? What about this: 1. Skip Chanters 2. Play Naked (even no consumables) 3. Install Deadly Deadfire Hardcore Mod 4. You are going to play solo only for sure Add this on top of Beraths + Magrans Challenge. How? Just take a simple tweak in global.gamedatabundle, FWIW. Change "DisableMods": true, to "DisableMods": false, in line 135. Enjoy!
  7. As Druid is the favourite class i like to play it saddens me that spiritshifting feels so wrong - at least in the following points: 1. Duration no longer scaling with Power Level 2. Spiritshift Weapons not counting as "Unarmed" so they wont recieve any bonus from Devoted for instance Is there any way to mod this - especially the second point? Devoted/Shapeshifter would be an awesome class - if it would not suffer heavy penalties in spiritshift form. Thanks for your work!
  8. I think most things that i would like to see have already been mentioned here: - Better AI that uses skills/spells more efficiently (especially Mages) - Enemy Prebuffs (!) - Give at least bosses the ability to see through invisibility (no resets) - Lesser quest XP (like in DD Mod) - Improved Level-scaling for enemies (again DD Mod) - Limit the availability of consumables - Make it harder to pick up high tier weapons/armor - Enable even lesser enemies to use some high level abilities (PotD only) - Potions and/or Scrolls for more enemies - Improved Call for Help (Splittpulling is still too easy) - Give specific enemies the ability to instakill summons (this is for you Chanters!) - A reworked AR/PEN system (!) - What about enemies with level draining or instakilling abilities? Looks like i have played too much BG no?
  9. Thanks for that info @Zap Gun For Hire. So Naked + DD (or other mods) + TCS indeed IS an option even though it might be hard as hell - maybe even impossible for some upcoming bosses (Chanters i do not count!). Without the ability to reset bigger fights the Devoted/Priest will also be doomed but - at least for the moment - i will keep on playing with naked + DD only. Allowing consumables will most probably be a backup option for the future. We will see!
  10. Just a quick question: Is there any downside when getting the wrong dispositions with regard to your god? Looks like i am just too nice to everyone around - which should not please Skaen a lot. Will he debuff me at some point if i dont get cruel?
  11. Naked Challenge with all 10 God Challenges will most likely be insane. Too bad i cannot get in touch with Magrans Challenge. I like my pause button too much!!! If Naked + DD is getting too tough later on then its always possible to drop back to consumables. Or just press the i-win-button and play with a Chanter!
  12. Yeah, the new rules mostly feel "too easy" which caused me to start playing again without any items and DD hardcore mod installed. The very beginning is quite brutal after dying once against the very first boar (no monastic training!) that had three skulls. However: Most enemies are just plain red. Finally the surrounding feels menacing again even though the open world should give us still enough room for easy quests. The XP decrease makes everything a bit slower so i switched back to Mechanics to get another XP option. I dont know if the big bosses will be killable but even if not - hey - happiness is the way. Especially when death is lurking around every corner. No? My Dwarven Devoted/Priest of Skaen proves to be very effective so far easily punching down the bigger essence spirit at level 3 or the adra slime (STR 20!). He got level 7 after reaching Neketaka with Natures Resolve already collected. Lets see if we can get at least level 10 before sailing out again... P.S. Your Harbinger of Doom is a really cool build @mant2si - maybe i should try it out in the next time. We will see!
  13. The updated rules: 1. Complete the game without wearing any armor, boots, gloves, helmets, or accessories in combat -> Weapons, Potions, Scrolls and Pets are ok - how cool is this? 2. Path of the Damned or Triple Crown Solo -> Chose your destiny 3. No Berath Blessings -> we want it the hard way no? 4. No retraining -> reskilling is for the weak! 5. Upscaling for all enemies -> the bigger the better 6. Collect all bounties -> you gonna hate this for sure 7. Finish the main game plus the DLC´s -> we like it all 8. Chanters are banned -> Sorry, no I-Win-Button this time @Reent 9. No AI scripts -> But letting your dog play is still okay!!! Opinions on the rules? Still too easy? Should we use Deadly Deadfire Mod? Is the integration of consumables making the challenge too easy? Should TCS be optional?
  14. Just thinking about the ingame data again: "Complete the game without wearing any armor, boots, gloves, helmets, or accessories in combat" This also means you can use consumables - right??? This would open up even more builds - no?
  15. Question: Is there any weapon or shield that grants abilities like Withdraw or Shadowing Beyond? Would make any naked non Priest or Rogue much more survivable in TCS!
  16. I got your point @1TTFFSSE - and this doesnt sound okay. So What about this? Cursed Stuff: You cannot unequip any weapon (or shield). This would force the player to choose wisely limiting at least some abuse. Other ideas? P.S. As i have no ideas about the ingame weapons other will have a better overview!
  17. If the game data is correct then using weapons would indeed be okay: "Naked Run: Complete the game without wearing any armor, boots, gloves, helmets, or accessories in combat. (5 new game points)" This would give the challenge new perspectives - which is good. On the other hand i am wondering what we should put on top of this? TCS mandatory? No invisibility? Or at least one God Challenge? As only two of them are in the game for now i am not sure if its a good idea to put in Berath. So for the moment i am updating the OP: - No Chanters - You are allowed to use weapons P.S. AI scripts are also banned. Play on your own or get doomed!
  18. Okay, to sum it up: - Chanters should play on their own battleground but not here - Without invisibility-resets boss fights seem impossible plus any mistake might cause a quick death - Ship fights favour Fighter/XXX as anything else will go down too quickly - Beraths Challenge will kill anyone except Chanters (who are already out) There is not much room left when picking classes... Devoted/Priest seems to be the hottest contender: 1. +2 PEN 2. Lots of Buffs 3. Resistance to Afflictions (Dwarf!) 4. AoE damage 5. Invisibilty for resets 6. Good sustain I think i will have to rethink about the rule settings as well as waiting for the upcoming DLC´s until playing the game "for real". However: Its still fun toying around with all kinds of builds. Big thanks for all your input - especially to @Mant2si who has given me lots of new ideas. Great! Looks like it will still take quite some time before i will finish the game for the very first time without rerolling another char.
  19. In PoE 1 Chanter was the king of naked runs so i banned this class from my personal list. Druid was another strong contender that only struggled in the very-late game. Monk was also great except for the boss fights in WM 1&2. Too bad if Chanter is still THE class to go thanks to unlimited chants. Another reason to ban the class from this challenge! I really do not like the AR/PEN-system in PoE 2 either. Why not using the old one? Without Devoted or Berserker most builds will lack PEN here. Devoted/Lifegiver was another idea i started some days ago but have not played further. At least it has good PEN, lots of heals and nice CC. The Devoted/Trickster was quite nice up to level 15 murdering even big groups without problems. But the lack of sustain against big bosses (Ukaizo!) hurts a lot. Sure he could just use Smoke Veil to skip it but that feels just lame. But havent you said @Mant2si that your Priest of Magran/Ghostheart was able to beat the Guardian of Ukaizo? Was this without any consumables? If so we might have another contender. Chanters i do not count. P.S. What about a Devoted/Shieldbearer? He gets resistance or immunity to any affliction, can dish out quite some damage and has lots of sustain. Still not enough?
  20. Beraths Challenge is finally bringing some more fun into the naked runs! While my Devoted/Priest of Wael was already strong Eklun the Elven Devoted/Shieldbearer seems even stronger. At least for the early game. So far he managed to clear all enemy groups except for the Drake and the Skeletons in the training hall in one go using Disciplined Strike + Lay on Hands whenever HP were critical. The Spirits and Adra Slime were easier than expected as long as he splitted the big group in smaller ones so Constant Recovery was keeping his HP high as long as possible before switching to Lay on Hands. Even the Crystal Spiders were much easier thanks to the Elven innate resistance to dexterity afflictions (no paralyze at all). The spiders and swarms of imps in the SE required the first Empower to regain some class powers. Still a close fight! The next goal is to somehow close the gap to level 13 gaining Unbending so bigger group fights will get much easier. Neketaka is waiting...
  21. Yeah, you are right @Reent. I am also waiting until the DLC´s and bonus challenges are out so for the moment i am mostly toying around with lots of builds not caring about items. I have done so many poverty/naked runs in other games in the meanwhile that i cannot allow myself to use all those "OP" weapons, armor etc. I restarted another Devoted/Priest of Wael using Beraths Challenge just to see how much more challenging it gets. For Chanters this one should be a dream but - yeah - i still dont like this class at all.
  22. Something is going wrong here... After having a really easy early-game with the Devoted/Trickster things are going out of hand after he reached level 13 picking up Unbending. Can it really be that this skill gets stack over stack making the char (nearly) unkillable as long as you take care of magic dampener or heavy healing reduction? Most of the time i can just run into the middle of the pack with unbending + disciplined strikes spamming crippling strike and death blow or just watch how the enemies get punched down with one crit after another while my character always stays at full health? Even if i run out of resources or healing reduction ticks in: Jump and Smoke Veil always keeps me save. Reset and strike again. Maybe i should switch my rules to Single-Class only. Or wait until Obsidian has released all of their own bonus challenges.
  23. Oh, i have no problem playing the split & kill game over and over again. Thats the reason why Mizhena reached level 6 before leaving the starting island only skipping the young drake and friends. Even enemies with three skulls had no chance 1vs1 so the conclusion at least for the early game is: Devoted/Trickster is really strong! She also managed to kill a Ghost at Amiras Whisper pushing her to level 7 thanks to 612 XP! Lets hope i will get some time to play tomorrow... P.S. Does Confident Aim and Discipline Barrage stack with regard to Graze into Hit?
  24. If you have chosen "PotD only" then i would try as many fights as possible just to see whats possible and what not. For me this run is not only about completing it but also about the limitations of class-combos and how far they can get pushed. In PoE and even more in BG i learned much about the game when forcing me to use my limited options to maximum effect. In PoE 2 however i am still feeling like a noob cause of the greater flexibility and changed mechanics. At the moment i think that Devoted/Skaen or Wael are very cool options so feel free to show us their potential @mant2si. I switched in the meanwhile to Devoted/Trickster - and it works also quite well. At least in the beginning. I still like to stick with Moon Godlike even though it seems (nearly) no one but me is loving them anymore. STR: 10 CON: 10 DEX: 20 PER: 16 INT: 19 RES: 3 Dumping RES might hurt but as this is not a TCS run i should be fine with it. Hopefully. Not sure if i should switch DEX with STR but punching fast as a lightning just feels too good.
  25. Oh, you are completly free to kill everything out there naked - if you can. Withdraw is another invisibility (it isnt?) so no go for Chanters. If you dont like Legendary Captain: Skip it. This challenge should be fun and if you dont like the rules: Play the game in your own style. I like to play with handicaps - others hate this. Your choice! This is funny @mant2si cause i started a Devoted/ Priest of Wael yesterday - looked really powerful. Tanking bigger boars in the beginning? No problem! With the high level spells and abilities this could be an unstoppable train of destruction. Skaen should be much better for the offense but Arcane Veil on the other hand helped me a lot in the early game. Hope i will get some time to play on in the next days. Eager to see your videos!
