  1. Hahaha! The Ogres in front of Nalrends Cave - well - they died like flies!! Option 1: Heavy CC -> Spiritshfit -> The Cat hits so hard that even Ogre Matrons go down in seconds. Option 2: Rot Skull -> This takes a bit longer but is safer. The damage is still crazy. Option 3 would be summons but at least against the group outside it wasnt needed. This means: Nalrend the Wise will be an interesting battle and chances are not that bad getting him down. Maybe in the evening i will have time to try this fight - this is going to be fun!!
  2. The same idea here Reent. Before going deeper into Durgans Battery i will try to get at least to level 13 (better 14). It wil be interesting to see if a naked Druid can take down Nalrend. P.S. I know that some people are voting for a naked Iron Run. My opinion: Forget it. There are so many things that can go wrong - and they will go wrong sooner or later. So if anyone is brave - or foolish - enough to go for it: Try it on you own. And suffer! I think Reent can confirm this point, no?
  3. Oh dear... the Battery Sirens are killing me... and i cant hit them... even with the stuns of Relentless Storm the Cat misses so often... and when it hits the damage is non existant... Maybe Level 12 is too low... will have to lvl up first... and working on another strategy... the end could be near...
  4. Fast Runner and Druid is bugged. Sometimes Ulmar was faster than me, sometimes i outrun him and he turned away. There is absolutely no logic behind this. At least Rot Skull proves to be a great kiting tool. The DoT takes down enemies quite quickly - its a bit like playing Noober again. Only downside: This doesnt work vs Lagufaeths. I would love to make "Venom Bloom" (Level 6) work as the Weakened and Frightened Debuff is great. Especially the Weakened would help alot as many Druid CC´s target Fortitude. But Its duration is so short - it feels weaker than spells from lower levels...
  5. Galvinos Workshop is finished thanks to Gaze of Adragan -> Spiritshift Abuse. Just a matter of time. But the Lagufaeth.... holy cow... they are eating me alive. The group in the ice cave -> impossible. And even with room for kiting its a nightmare. If they get the stun(s) of -> i am dead. Only way is perma CC so they never ever get their shots of. Or to splitpull them but.. hell... they are so fast... Lurking them into other monster groups can work too but... no... this is not fun. Its a pity that the Druid got no stun mmunity with his spells..... Maybe i should just try Durgans Battery first... and say hello to the mad Sirens... or maybe i should get to level 13 first... we will see! Rushing through the areas is not possible anymore - the Monk i played some time ago was MUCH faster. EDIT: Even the WM 1 Bounties are a joke with regard to Lagufaeths. Splittpulled Metzla and kited her down easily...
  6. I have skipped the second half of WM 2 after i got bored with my Ascetic Monk. Maybe someone else can help us? I think that the missing points wont matter that much at the end. At least in Durgans Battery. My Ascetic Monk used +3 Movement Speed and had no chance escaping the ambush. Tough times... EDIT: If this challenge will be finished Reent you should - if you havent - definitely play a Solo Druid in Icewind Dale - HoF for sure. The playstyle is nearly the same like the Chanter here. Summon all day long while throwing in damage or buffs in between - very funny!
  7. Wait Reent - i think you could have saved some points - or not? I am only level 12 with Mechanic 10, Survival 9. Have you done the Quest "At the Mercy of the Tribes" in Twin Elms? +1 Mechanic from there. Taking Hylea for then Druid was a mistake i think. Damn. Rymrgand would have been better: +1 Con, +1 Survival. Well, i hope that it will not matter too much later on but.... i am so sad... bad planning.
  8. No, this also happens in human form. Sometimes i am faster sometimes slower - and i dont know why. Very strange. It must be the drugs!
  9. What? The +Accuracy doesnt work on Chants? Phhhhhh. Thats crazy.... this should be fixed for sure! Another question: You have skilled Fast Runner for sure no? I think this skill is a bit bugged. Sometimes i am running around at lightning speed (much faster than Boots of Speed would be) - even in combat. Sometimes i feel so slow that i barely outrun normal moving opponents. And sometimes its just the +1 you should get. I rarely got the lighting speed but when it procs the char is so fast that it constantly moves even when it should stand still. Maybe my Druid is on drugs. Lol. Can you confirm this observation?
  10. How far have you pushed Survival? The +Accuracy Resting Bonus helps my Druid alot and he rarely misses his spells. The + Movement Resting Bonus i rarely use atm - this might change against the Lagufaeth though. I tested "Rot Skull" for the Dweller-Bounty and it was quite funny. Kited the big beast to death thanks to the hard ticking DoT. If this will also works against WM opponents - we will see! EDIT: Survial 10 will be the final target as Mechanic is the main priority atm. Will take some more levels...
  11. Right Reent, there is no need to rush things - time is on our side. Sadly enough my Druid will drop far behind because our house soaks so much time - dont know when i will really find time for playing. Damn...
  12. If you get through this fight (and the final bosses) the next hours of gameplay are quite easy. The Ascetic Monk rushed through the first parts of WM 2 so easily - it felt like cheating. A Chanter should have easy time too. Second part of WM 2 could be more problematic but.... we will see!
  13. Tanking could work IF you manage to get into the Adra Disc Room and summon something. After this it should be "easy"... maybe you have arleady solved it?
  14. Well, well. The infamous Adra Disc Ambush was the main reason why i did not take a Monk. With the Ascetic Monk it took my several hours of dying after i finally had to respecc and use scrolls. Even with Summons there was no way to get through the stunning, paralyzing, immobilize & teleporting combo they throw at you. But we have no scrolls.... The only way i can think of - and that nearly worked once after hundreds of tries - is: 1. You somehow manage to summon something 2. You get teleported by a Ghost near the Sirens so your escape path is right in front of you 3. The Sirens do not attack you but a summon 4. The stun you are suffering for sure will expire before the sirens engage you 5. You can run away without anything thrown or teleporting at you 6. if ALL of this works PERFECTLY you have a chance I nearly quit my Ascetic Monk Run because of this fight. I dont know what Chanters can do but the best way would be a mass stun or charm - or immunity against stuns, immobilze, paralyze. If this is out of reach things will get very, very tough... EDIT: Or is tanking an option? With Monk - no way... but Chanters may stand a chance... hmmmmmm
  15. Level 11 finally reached. Thelynn´ss is slowly making progress in WM 1. Maybe now i will dare to face the infamous Lagufaeth. With my Iron Run Druid they were not that hard but that was mainly thanks to high defenses and the reflection shield. Missing both will make things tougher so the only way will be perma CC. We will see how things are going to work - or not. Oh, and i will test a spell that i nearly never used before: Rot Skull. Throwing skulls at the enemy sounds funny. And they really hurt badly. And they are AoE. And fast. Why have i never used this spell before? Seems it needs challenges like this to get a new vision on an old class. Things will get interesting soon - hopefully tomorrow. In the meanwhile: Good hunting Reent!
  16. Oh dear - things are turning around Reent. While your Chanter now rolls my Druid slowly but surely will run into trouble. I almost can feel it. Darzir and the Ogre Attack on Stalwart was not that bad but... Darzir and the last Shooters were so much trouble. The only chance was: Split them and fight Darzir alone. And even than its not that clear. The easiest way was a combination of Sun Beam + Returning Storm + Autumns Decay. If he got stunned -> Summon Blight -> Spiritshift. This put him down relatively safe but it took some time. Maybe i should have waited for Level 11 - with Sunlance he would have died much faster. Wont have the chance to go much further today so its up to you Reent- keep rolling!
  17. Hrhr - sounds like the fun part has begun for your Chanter - keep singing! Did a naked Chanter stands a chance vs Nalrend or is this no go? I fear that i will drop far behind - nearly no time for playing these days.
  18. I am so bad. The unholy Adragan group in Elmshore - the one where the last bird is - killed my again and again. Yes, it was my own fault because i wanted to rush in and kill them all. But holy cow. Everytime i got them all nearly down they either managed to heal or to petrify or to dominate or to instakill me. Going into Raging-Mode was not a good idea cause i only died more. Back to patience mode the Lurker and Adragan went down easily thanks to chain CC. Damn it. I hate Adragans even more than Lagufaeth atm. At least level 10 is reached...
  19. I never understood why everyone is so eager to kill dragons. They are wonderful creatues and the Syk Dragon has a baby... you are so cruel Reent... bad, bad, boy!! Thelynn´ss got Hyleas Boon - without killing the dragon - and continues questing around Twin Elms. Lvl 10 should be reached tomorrow. Will need some rest.
  20. Well, you dont have to fight the Sky Dragon - talk peacefully and its done. Cant get easier. Yeah, WM 1 will become a pain at some point - maybe it will be over soon. We will see...
  21. This is... AAAAAAH... Galawains Maw is so bugged... i quit this crap. Killed the Bearboss and all his friends... but combat will not end... happens one time.. two times... and so on... plz... come on. I will switch to Hylea again... she never cheated like this....
  22. Hmmmm... interesting stuff... but... if you could get away with 4 Dex and push Per higher.... *cough*... restart... or going it till the end? One thing i know for sure: 4 Dex would kill my Druid. As the Druids in Galawains Maw. I hate enemy druids... so much CC and Damage... its not fair. Oh, and never try a fair 1vs1 while both are shifted... they kill me in two or three hits... so i am playing it unfair... CC them first, then claw them down! And dont worry about posting stuff like this Reent. Everything around the chars... tactics, statistics, raging... everything matters and will push us farer!
  23. Great stuff Reent - i believe in your Chanter! Taking Envenomed Strike looks crazy at first glance but - okay - i can see the logic behind. How often are you fighting with your fists? Thelynn´s has reached level 9 and now its the big question: Which God to choose? Hylea (+1 Per) is quite easy. Or better Rymrgand (+1 Con). WIll also take some time to solve the skipped quests and maybe do some bounties. WM 1 can wait. We have all the time in the world.
  24. I am still waiting for the point where Reents Chanter will post every minute: I finished Stalwart... five minutes later... and Redwood too... and half an hour later.... well, WM 1 is finished. In the meanwhile my druid will humble and post: DAMN i died the 509th time to this =)!$T))("%!V!H Lagufaeth!!! I cant go any further... its over.... Druids are SH...... and so on...
  25. If you manage to TCS the main game with a naked Chanter i would be quite impressed Raven. Try it! Yeah, the Monk would be my next choice too but after playing the Ascetic Monk i would say: Durgan Battery last level could be the end. It took me hours to find a way through the last unavoidable Ghost Ambush - without scrolls it seemed impossible. We will see... I hope that i will find time for the Druid today - Act 3 is still waiting... If we all fail somewhere in WM 1 or 2 - thats part of the plan. The journey is the reward!
