What about In-battle? What am I supposed to do when I take a big hit from a boss after a 10 hits Quickening chain with only 5 ethers in my inventory? There's a tech that replenishes mp but if it doesn't connect your left with 0 MP... I guess that would be worth trying as I'm at 0 already... (w00t)

I'm 42 hours into FFXII and only about halfway through the story. :D

I'm 42 hours into FFXII. I found my first major gripe with the game. Spells are available in stores only. And they unlock after certain events. For example, right now I really need Thundaga to have an easier time against a certain Esper(summon). The spell is acquired on the License board but it will only be available once a certain battle has occured in the story. By the way, I think I'm only just past halfway through the story, just entered Stilshrine of Myriam. All the characters are Lvl 23, Vaan(main) is 24. I like the Viera a lot so far. Hot multiclassed Monks/Druids! I find the license board too easy to clear. It's difficult to specialize and I need to force myself to use a character only for a specific purpose even though all characters can do pretty much the same things. Sometimes, if you want a level 3 black magic spell for example, you may need to get a level 2 green magic panel cleared so that the lvl3 BM can be available on the board. This bothered me as I wanted a pure Black Mage so what I do is I just have her cast only Black Magic spells. Finally, as all FFs, the ways to replenish MP are few and far between, with Ether potions practically non-existant. When you consider that Quickenings and summonning empties your entire MP gauges, this is a pain in the ***. You can refill everything and cure ailments at save crystals though. On the plus side, it's a lot of fun and it's beautiful. I thought chaining would be a bore but it's actually great because the combat system is so good and the loot quite worth the effort. I keep my leader's gambits off and the rest on. Most of the time it works perfectly, until my healers run out of MP(see above <_< ). The story I find more mature and complicated, probably because there is so much time needed to level up between cutscenes that I can't remember who did what and why from one movie to the next. I Find it's the most difficult FF(since VII) but I like it enough that I don't even think about NWN2 being on store shelves.

Why do you say that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nothing's happening! Not a single scene involving many events from the end of last season was even hinted at to wet our appetites. It was all Jack, Kate and Sawyer with one episode in which one great character that we barely knew bites the dust. Where's Rousseau? How did Alex get to the second island? Where's Desmond's boat? What's with the four toes? How did Locke lose his legs in the first place? What about Hurley's numbers? Why didn't they explore more of Desmond's premonitions? I know this show thrives on the questions it raises about its characters but they need to give us some little hints at what could happen with everyone otherwise it all falls apart. 5-6 episodes involving 3-4 characters when the cast contains what... dozens? It feels like the writers don't know how to proceed with their story. I'm not saying I hate Lost, I still watch it religiously. But I also watch Smallville religiously... <_<

Babel About a gun and bad parenting. Long and very slow but I was in the mood for some serious adult(not porn!) movie watching so I enjoyed it. It also reminded me that Brad Pitt is an excellent actor, not just a media bitch.

For the record: I don't hate Jews. I hate the city I live in, a city that don't provide parking spaces for most of it's residents. For example, next to that synagogue is a school. How hard is it to let park in the school yard(it's all asphalt)?

1-Today is my first day of a 1 week vacation and my landlady, who lives downstairs from us, has hired workers to continue renovations in her "house" that have been going on for over a year and a half because she never has money to pay them and they leave. They started at 9am this morning. 2- 5000$ 52" HD TVs that you must watch 30 feet away in order to avoid seeing the big squarred pixels... and you can't play games on them??!! 3- Jews that decide to celebrate something every single time we need to do groceries(we live in front of a Synagogue and whenever something's happening there is no parking space anywhere and we often must walk 1-2 blocks with 100 pounds of food to our no-parking-included appartment). 4- Pretty much any street in Montreal.

Are the Cylon-Hybrids considered Biocylon models? I thought it was very interesting that the Final Five models seem to be unknown by anyone, even the Biocylons themselves, or at least such a secret. Maybe they are unresurectable, unique models. I would like it if Tigh would start to get visions of Ellen like Baltar has visions of Six. This was a great episode despite the slower pacing. Cylon life makes for great tv :D
