The OT. No contest whatsoever. The PT is nothing more than a tech demo for various movie technologies and toys. I barely call them movies.

But... JE is coming to PC in January 07.

The novel spawned 2 sequels and they want to do the same thing with the movies, like Harry Potter.

I never read it. I became aware of the book when the first Eragon teasers began showing. The book was written by a 19 years old... boy. The movie was directed by a first timer. The marketing campaign was good then.

Sadly it seems like another fantasy story has been butchered by Hollywood producers. I had rather large hopes for Eragon and although critics are mostly biased fools, one can make up a pretty decent opinion about anything by reading many reviews and analysing the points that are common in every critic's article. In Eragon's case, it's bad Star Wars plagiarism, saved from any lawsuit by dropping the story in a Lord of the Rings-type setting. I haven't seen it, I wanted to go this weekend. But now I think I'll wait a few weeks after christmas and play Oblivion instead. Meh.

Hmm. A post-apocalyptical Survival/RPG? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah sounds great! I can envison in my mind some guy in a tattered dress shirt and slacks hiding behind a burning car as some sort of mutant dog wanders by. As the game progresses the main character can start to turn into something of a badass as he fights for his survival. First weapon, stapler. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What I had in mind was more something like Robinson's Requiem. Surviving in a strange world with unknown creatures. Having to "test" possible sources of food and managing the after effects, all the while having to save this strange world in order to get off of it. Something like that.

Its pretty good, but I don't know if its worth the full price of the retail box all by itself. Not the $20 US is too terribly much. But still. If you really like the idea of playing a Paladin type pc and building your own knightly order complete with Knights who will kick your enemies teeth in for you, then it might be worth it. Sorry for bringing this thread back up... A few weeks ago I procured my self ALL the downloadable plugins from Bethesda. Mehrune's Razor, the "pirate ship", the stupid saddle pack, etc. Of course I didn't know about Knights of the Nine PC because I stayed away from possible spoilers so my ventures into the Oblivion forums was only for technical issues. I'm really wondering why O why did I pay for this stuff? Out of the extra quests the plugins give me I only found the pirate ship and took what... 10 minutes? If you do it at low level it's way too easy and the the "quest" involves buying furniture and hiring merchants at 1000$ a pop. And then a few weeks later a package comes out in retail that includes everything plus a supposedly 10 hour quest? WTF? :angry:

Everything is great so far. I currently own Resistance: Fall of Man and Ridge Racer 7. The User Interface is elegant and simple to use. Resistance: Fall of Man and Ridge Racer 7 look fantastic in 1080i/1080p. There is one thing I have to say to anyone that does not own a PlayStation 3: It is a great system, and you will not understand that completely until you own one for yourself.
