  1. Hello all. Yes, we are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. We want to make sure that fixing this quest is fully fixed and doesn't affect anything else. When a fix is found and tested it will be available in a future patch.
  2. Hello all. We are aware with the resolution issues and issues in general with MacBook Pros with Retina screens. We are currently working on a fix for this issue and it should be available very soon. Thank you for the ongoing support and feedback.
  3. Hello all. We are aware of certain situations in which the character will become stuck in the prone position even after combat ends. I have added your output log to our current bug. We are currently working on a fix. Thanks for your feedback and ongoing support!
  4. Hello again. Are you trying to run the game off of an external hard drive or server by chance?
  5. I am very sorry to hear that it did not work out for you. Hopefully you will enjoy the game when you get it all patched up. Good luck, and if there is anything else we can do just make another thread or update this one. Thank you for your understanding.
  6. Sorry about that. I run on a Mac here at work, so it might be different. Try Steam/SteamApps/common/Pillars of Eternity. It should be in that folder on whatever hard drive you installed Steam on.
  7. Hello, Lesterfairley. We are aware of the issue of running the game with a 32 bit operating system. There are a few work arounds that involve increasing the available memory to the game. Please follow the thread here and see if any of that resolves your issue. Thanks!
  8. Hello. We are aware that after getting the disc you are going to need to patch pretty much right away. This is unfortunately unavoidable. If we waited to ship the discs out until they were complete and bug free we would never get them shipped. We have to pick a point in time to send the information to the manufacturer to create the disc. This is always before we are done developing to assure that we hit a certain date in time. Bug fixes, balancing, and other issues that come up after the 'Gold Master' is sent out are included in the first patch. Perhaps you can install the game with Steam in offline mode so that it is not aware that the game needs to be updated? Then in the steam settings change the game so that it doesn't automatically update. I do not recommend this method, as you are going to miss out on fixes that we have put in since the disc was made. The disc ships with version 1.04, and we are currently working on version 2.0 as seen in this thread. Perhaps playing in version 1.04 will suffice until you can get more bandwidth to update to the newest version. Thanks for your support, and sorry for the inconvenience.
  9. Hello, Kalycesowa. The items you are speaking about can be found in ~SteamLibrary/SteamApps/common/Pillars of Eternity/ Thanks for the support!
  10. Hello Gary1986. We are aware of items going missing during certain actions with the party. We are currently working on a fix for this issue. Thanks for the support.
  11. Hello all. We are aware of this issue and it is in our database. Thank you for the feedback.
  12. Awesome. Glad to hear that you got it worked out and that it is not an issue that you couldn't work around. Thanks for the ongoing support!
  13. Thank you for uploading the additional files. I will take a look at your uploads and forward this information to the proper team. Thanks for your patience and support during this issue.
  14. Hello, raisroide. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately there is no way to get your character unstuck. The only way to fix this is to reload the autosave that happened when you entered that map. However, it will help us tremendously if you can upload the save with the stuck character as I will be able to forward that to the correct department to prevent it happening to you or anyone else again. You can do this by uploading it to Dropbox and then posting a link here. Thanks for your patience and support during this issue.
  15. Hello again, sim-h. Yes, that will be helpful. Playing for 10 minutes to be able to get reproduction steps and help you out is not a problem at all. If you can give me step by step, or close to it, directions that reproduce this issue I'll be able to take a look at your save and determine if we've fixed it internally or need to add it to the database. Thanks again!
  16. Hello, Rorgash. Thank you for uploading the files of your crash. You mention that running file validation always comes up with 1 missing file, so I'm going to suggest following the advice on this page and seeing if that works. If it does not please update this thread so I can further assist you. Thank you for your patience and support during this issue.
  17. Hello, all. Yes, we are aware of the issue as it has been mentioned in other threads. There is currently a bug in our database being looked at by the proper team. Thanks for your support!
  18. Quillmonkey, I found a bug in our database that is very similar to your issue. I've added your specific issue and files to the bug and it is assigned to the proper team. Thanks for your ongoing support!
  19. Barely3Dimensional, do you know the actual model number of your processor? I have a feeling that the processor is what is holding you back. 2.53Ghz dual core is a lot slower than a 2.53Ghz quad core. atamosk, we are aware of the issues with Retina display MacBooks and are working feverishly to get a fix as soon as possible.
  20. Hello, all. Sorry for the inconvenience. I've downloaded your saved game and do not see the pieces of the sword in your inventory at all. I do see that the quest progression is where it is supposed to be though. Do you happen to have an earlier saved game while you were gathering the pieces, or better yet, right after you got the 4th one before heading to have it forged?
  21. Hello, all. Sorry for the delay in response from us. As far as I am aware there is no actual ETA for the completion of the patcher. We are aware that it is causing an inconvenience for the players that have installed through that method and we are currently working on a standalone patcher. Thanks for your patience.
  22. Hello, SnowWolf137, I am sorry for the inconvenience. May I ask how you purchased the game as that will help me direct you to the proper place for a solution. Thanks!
  23. Hello, all. If you could please upload a saved game and output log to Dropbox and then post a link here we can take a closer look. The screen shot helps, but the other files will really help the proper team dig in and fix this issue for the future. Thanks!
  24. Hello, stewdanko. I'm sorry for your inconvenience. Just to make sure, you are playing on a PC, and not a Mac, correct? Are you able to install the game from the disc without using Steam at all? An Obsidian patcher is in the works and will bypass having to use Steam at all for patching. This might be an acceptable alternative, though no ETA that I know of is announced for that yet.
  25. Hello, Bubbles. I've downloaded and checked out your save game. Unfortunately right now the only way to fix this issue is to reload the autosave from when you first got onto this map. I have however also entered this issue into our database so the proper team can take a look and hopefully avoid this issue in the future. Thanks for your patience and ongoing support during this issue.
