I quite liked the underwater bits as a change of pace, but it would have got frustrating had they been any bigger.

I would imagine Bespin cloud city hasn't been built yet, but there is no reason not to include something similar.

Any argument that invokes religion is invalid, since it is based on an invalid premise. As someone who has a doctorate in Astrophysics I am acutly aware that the more I learn the less I know.

Actually, no you couldn't multiclass between Guardian and Counselor. You could multiclass between a base Jedi class and a Jedi Prestige Class, but not between the two base Jedi classes. Maybe you house-ruled it in your group? Miss read the rules if you are right! No one actually did this, but we assumed you could. Actually I've P&Ped much more with the earlier West End Games rules.

Questions the the Devs - Take 2

Maybe the devs are all busy actually working on the game? -
You "forgot" to use the force? oh, come on....

Watto does say that Toydarians are immune, but he is probably strong willed too, so Qi Gon had no chance with him. I don't think it is ever stated that Hutts are immune, but it could be in the EU I guess. OB1 says the mind trick only effects the weak willed in ep IV so that is certainly cannon. Qi Gon is able to effect Boss Nass in ep 1, who I wouldn't expect to be weak willed, but maybe Qi Gon is exceptionaly good at the mind trick, and he doesn't get Boss Nass to do anything that he wasn't half inclined to do anyway. -
A sneak attack would probably make the Sentinal overpowered, and it is a bit unjedish anyway. I hope the Sith Assassin gets some kind of death attack though. How about these bonus force powers to replace the immunities: Level 1: Force Sense Level 6: Force Stealth (as used by OB1 on Death Star) works like steath but no belt required, force points consumed, wis and dex bonuses added to skill. Level 12: Force Invisibility (exclusive power) Works like stealth but can disapear in plain sight of enemies.

Except for Motta the Hutt of course! The mind trick is only supposed to work on the weak willed. I wouldn't expect a crime lord like Jabba to be weak willed. Watto's species might be immume to the mind trick because thier brains are very alien. Hutts may be alien enough to give them some resistance, but not enough for full immunity. -

I don't know, i thought it said you are a Jedi veteran of the Madalorian wars, as in, you are a Jedi who fought in the Mandalorian Wars, which doesn't necessarely mean you fought 'as' a Jedi. Furtheremore, didn't the council took your light saber ?!? And even so, how exactly do you fight 'as a Jedi' in an intergalactic war ?!? It's like saying the Japanise fought as 'samurai' in World War II There isn't a definite role for a Jedi in a futurist large scale conflict. Sure, the force can be useful in certain situations, but more often then not, a fully trained soldier will propably be far more useful as a unit in a technological warfare... The Star Wars universe isn't "realistic" in that sense. The movies clearly indicate that one jedi (or force sensitive kid) can turn the tide of battle. I'm guessing that the PC was a young Padawan who followed Revan into the Mandalorian wars (as many did acording to KOTOR). When Revan turned to the dark side the PC either left or became a Sith. If they left they returned to the Jedi enclave on Dantooine, where they where exiled from the order for following Reven. If the PC became a Sith they where captured in battle and turned back to the light. However, regretting thier weekness in falling to the dark they abandoned the order, the force and thier lightsaber. -
It's worth considering that in the P&P game there was no Sentinal class, but you could multiclass freely between Consular and Guardian if you wanted an intermediate character. I would prefer to see the Sentinal made into a distinctive detective or steath specalist class though.

There wouldn't be much point in becoming a Sith Assassin unless you got to assassinate people!
-
I think Naboo would be interesting at this time. The human colanists would be reciently arrived and in conflict with the native gungans. The PC could have a side quest to prevent open war and hence enable the alliance that will eventualy defeat the Trade Federation.

Are you saying it is possible to aquire knowladge without admiting you are ignorant, or that the phrase is to obvious to be worth saying? Jolee and Qui Gon are usually refered to as "grey" jedi (George Lucas's term). Jolee is of neutral alignment and is unable to use light side artifacts.

They where to much second rate consular combined with second rate guardian, without having any unique role of there own. Part of the problem was the special class feats. The Guardian's leap encoraged them to charge into melee combat, hence strengthening them in that role. The Consular's force focus made them more effective with offensive force powers, again strengthening them in thier role. The Sentinal's immunites did not suggest the character be used in any particular role. They should have had unique stealth or detection abilities instead.

Didn't the Ferengi use something like this on thier first apperence in TNG series 1?

I'm not so sure about self-exile. I got the impression the PC had been thrown out of the order. -
I would like to see the classes tweeked a bit. Sentinal will be a little more useful anyway as skills are due to be more important in the sequal and this class gets the most skill points (of those avalable to the PC). One way to improve Sentinal would be to give them a force stealth power, possibly upgrading to invisibility at high levels. It would also be appropiate for them to get the new force sense power for free. The imunities where dull and unuseful.
-
If they do add a Dooku style ligtsaber it should have different stats. Maybe slightly less damage but giving a bonus to defense, or critical threat on 17-20.
-
I thought Palpatine was using his Pursuade skill then rather than Force Pursuade. He doesn't do any hand waving.

Well it was in Jedi Acadamy, although that level sucked.

The hairstyles are certainly more conservative in KOTOR than in the movies, but fashions may change a little over 3000 years. -

From what has been said it seems to me most likely that you where given the boot from the jedi order for somthing that occured during the Mandalorian wars. Your ability to use the force was probably blocked at the same time and your lightsabre confenscated. Your lightsabre is probably somewhere in the ruins of the jedi enclave on Dantooine. There may be personal lightsabres in this game which have the characters name and have a bonus when used by that character (eg PC's lightsabre +1 att when used by PC).
