Do you prefer stat resolved combat, or player skill resolved combat?
In fact we'd still be in caves

Do you prefer stat resolved combat, or player skill resolved combat?
There are also "hardcore fans" (do I count as one with my nearly 5000th post count and the fact I consider OE as my favourite company?) who approach the combat and such properties of game based on A) how it fits in game B) is it fun C) does it fundamentally affect game's core (which in this case is roleplaying) in harmful way D) if not, is the approach preferable to orthodox one instead of spouting out presumed superiority of one style in all contexts. Unless spell of satan screws up the game AP's combat > every Bio and BIS/OE game (with possible exception of IWD's) combat

Sorry if I came off a bit harsh. But that's what I always end up doing The Dark Tower saga is best piece of speculative fiction (umbrella term for horror, scifi, fantasy etc. in case you didn't know) I've ever read. What's even better most of King's book are related in some way to it. I don't know, from the reviews (both american & finnish) one gathers Stephen King isn't hated. Most get at least good reviews, others are reverred as awesomeness. King does however has his deale of written crap that harms his reputation And then there's elitist circles...

What song do you want played at your funeral?
*is very jealous* Last time Roger was in Finland was back in 2001, way before I had even heard of Pink Floyd Gilmour didn't visit here at all (minus TDB tour in 1994) The Great Gig in the Sky has best piano chords ever in popular music. They are rather unusual for rock/pop music usage of piano.

I have If there's one roleplaying fantasy book above all other that's it. You can HEAR the dice rolling in that I liked the second and third book in that series though, esp. second Sturm's death (that can't really be considered as spoiler)

...of course this might be partly just bitterness due to several Salvatore fanboys I've encountered... Salvatore is quite horrible at describing combat btw. The way he describes every. single. strike. and. block. and. counterattack. and. what. kind. of. bat ****. wizard. uses. to. make. a. fireball. The. descriptions. also. get. very. repetitive. over. the. time Still, Salvatore is far from the worst edit: as for Conan I already commented on it - not directly though "(they're good at providing some brainless entertainment, though there's better such)"

Conan is luv There's huge difference between Howard's and Salvatore's literal talents

That mercenary "signed" with Tanar'ri though Then again I take effective artistic liberties (PST) over "canon"

I wouldn't go that far. I'd say he's probably still a teenager. That's like berating a toddler for being into Bob the Builder. Salvatore is a decent pulp action writer and it's good that he's keeping young people reading. Hopefully as "I want" grows up, he will keep reading and broaden his horizons. I think I read all the Salvatore books in college. They were fun. Did it suddenly get douchebag in here? Yeah, you're right, they are fun. The action is fun, the bits of humor are fun. Almost every book is tons of fun to read. Spine of the World was terrible, though. The Wulfgar bits were good, but I can't really be interested in hearing about some some tart's idiotic love problems and engangement to an airheaded prince. Also, Drizzt's section intros should be shot and killed. I have nothing against reading Salvatore per se (they're good at providing some brainless entertainment, though there's better such), but considering him as your favourite author must mean you're either young, have poor taste and/or haven't read much

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir Discussion
In PS:T there's hardened (traumatized, lol) veteran at Civic Festhall that tells stories about Blood Wars He was able to escape from there (though presumably he had to kill his entire squad in order to be succesful) Draconians > dwarves

Sure... What I can see immeaditly is that when I click enemy in IE game action begins immeaditly In Aurora there is small but noticeable drag Other clunkyness factor is the camera NWN1's was bad, NWN2's strategy cam is good but not as good as IE's isometric

Now that I think about it; if I had talent at modding that's what I'd do! *wonders about giving second shot at NWN2 Toolset* edit: *then sighs and gives up*

My favorite series/author/character. Sorry, but you have quite horrible taste when it comes to books then I'm currently reading: couple of rather well known and groundbreaking scientific books, namely Dr Schwarz's The Mind and The Brain and Henry Stapp's Mindful Universe. I'm also considering taking a shot Mario Beauegard's The Spiritual Brain: Neuroscientist's case for the existence of soul purely out of curiosity. It contains a lot of important and relevant scientific studies even if you dismiss the religious overtones. As for novels, I'm reading Kafka's famous work, The Castle. Boy isn't it good
