  6. Eh, I don't really like games where I feel like I need a strategy guide to get the full experience, which is precisely what I felt when playing Fallout 1. Unless Fallout 2 is very different, it's unlikely I'd enjoy it either. Thing is you can't get "full experience" in one playthrough in Fallouts anyway. And you certainly don't need strategy guide either ermmm, carry on
  7. Only reason I watched that was comparison to ME's art style MEH
  8. Is this a hint that Thorton will be able to become a porn star? WIN Besides, Thompson is out for the next couple of years anyway

  10. There's some uncertainty/controversy over Alpha Protocol's lead writer. Of course game has writing team, but lead writer has always left considerable blueprint on the game; On KotOR2 you can see Avellone's craft since the beginning, MotB's story was Ziet's baby and presumably Aliens will be Josh Show: The RPG Nowadays Alpha Protocol's lead writer position belongs to Lead Designer Avellone as exemplified by many mention by himself and others. In particular Anthony Davis recently said at codex "AP is oriented more towards action, but the story and dialog are still Chris Avellone. Matt McClean has done a bang-up job implementing an RPG system that is fun and actually has meaning in an RPG world. " However this game has been under production/designing for many years now and it has had one or two previous lead designers (can't remember, confirmation on that would be cool too). Even though lead designers have changed through these years Brian Mitsoda was the Creative Lead for Alpha Protocol all the time. Now this leads to conclusion that substantial amount - and at least the main story itself - has been written by him already as well as numerous characters etc. material in game, which in turn goes against more recent info we've had. So what's roles of MCA and Mitsoda if they are compared? Avellone is OE's "Creative Director" or whatever that mojo-filtered title was meaning he has his hands at least writingwise in all your games. In MotB Avellone wrote Gann and Kaelyn based on Ziet's initial idea/theme for the character(s). So did Avellone come up with skeleton of the storyline (and some characters) during preproduction and then left the responsibility for Mitsoda to create proper body around the bones? Or did Mitsoda come up with "bones" and most of "body" as well for the game? It is rather confusing, especially now that Mitsoda haven't been mentioned since the initial Game Informer IIRC. Apparently he hasn't left Obsidian (thank god) but he no longer seem to be involved with Alpha Protocol, at least fulltime. So did he get shift on some another (that unannounced?) project? This thing interests me greatly even alone from the POV of how you guys build your storylines for your games. It would also give some indication how much of previous writing has been scrapped (presumably with the shift from down to earth approach to over the top one) etc. As for the ( utterly random) topic description... lol finn mentality much? edit: In fact it was mentioned in Game Informer Mitsoda is no longer working on AP. But questions stays

Make that 6 times before I changed the track Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets (Live from Ummagumma)

David Gilmour - Echoes (Live at Royal Albert Hall) Strangers passing in the street By chance two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand the best I can Echoes is one of the greatest musical experiences I've had, but Floyd had couple of tracks - namely the other epoch, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb - that I ranked even higher. However, this live performance is without doubt best thing I've ever, ever, heard. I've played it 4 times in a row now

Pink Floyd - Wot's uh the deal Flash the readies wots...uh,the deal Got to make to the next meal Try to keep up with the turning of the wheel. Mile after mile Stone after stone Just turn to speak but you're alone Million miles from home you're on your own So let me in from the cold Turn my lead into gold Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul And I think I'm growing old Whatever, I might just as well go and get my OBC cd if I end up listening its tracks like this

Come on, my friends, Let's make for the hills. They say there's gold but I'm looking for thrills. You can get your hands on whatever we find, 'cause I'm only coming along for the ride. What a great track, singing is somewhat Beatlesy and Gilmour's guitar just pwns in here through and through (edit: Now that I think about it, I'd kill to get Dave perform that live.) Obscured By Clouds is without doubt their most underrated album.
